Hey DO!

Shockwave has a nice Gen1 ring to it - so that's what his name will be! Cheers mate! Once my other parts for him arrive I'll crack on with the kitbashing / painting!! :)

Thanks Botwt, Mungo, AFE an Clonecommando as well!! The helmet is one of Clint's resin pieces and I'm looking forward to my next shipment of parts!

Regards,

WB

Hi folks

Happy new year to you and your families!!

Righto...first completed figure of 2012 is the 349th "Cracked Tankers" Demo Trooper. Thanks to Darth Optimus he goes by the name "Shockwave."

An ex RC selected for the 349th Shockwave is a little unbalanced. To the other troopers he appears to be a little "bang happy" and more often than not can be found "danger close" to his own explosions!

All the best,

WB out!!

I like him,I think he fits in great with the other 349th figures you've done.I wonder how many you plan on doing for that squad.how'd you go about applying the helmet?do those omega squad helmets fit normal clones body's,or did you have to modify either a bit?I've never tried to test it as of yet.thanx.great work.

Nice looking fig here; your squad is looking better and better each update!  Nice use of the new pauldron from Fordo too; works well here.

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

That  ex-RC looks sweet!  In my head I can hear him giggling like Beavis & Butthead as he's about to set off an explosion. "Hehh, hehh, hehh...I LOVE a good bang!".  "Hehh, hehh...I said "bang".

@ LE thanks mate! He has had a light drybrushing of pure white over his armour now - still can't help feeling that he's a little 'rushed' though!

@ Tamer a double FP? Cheers Shawn! (also check your PMs re those vintage figures we were talking about!)

@ Clint - thanks again! He's mostly made up from your castings!

@JMT - the helmet is one of Clint's hollow ones, a little blutack and it fits perfectly on the standard clone body! I'm up to nine 349th figures now, six troopers and three Jedi! I've got two pilots, a ATRT with rider and a Gunship to complete then I think that will be my whole squad!!

@JM - good spot re the pauldron, it's one of Clint's castings!

@JLab and Botwt - thanks lads!

@Pablo - hey man! Happy new Year, glad you like him!

@DO - Thanks for naming him! I too picture him being a bit deranged! The guy who plays my USCM demo grunt in my Aliens RPG inspired his personality! Talking of which I'm planning on doing two USCSF troopers from my RPG and a Weyalnd Yutani military Mech trooper in the near future, and more importantly I can't wait to see an update on your marines!

The AI mech will have a Gen1 TF influence ala your Dino Mandos. Hie name is 'Hound.' ;-)

Thanks again guys, hope that 2012 is treating you well so far...

WB, cannot wait to see your "Hound" inspired mech...he's one of my favorite G1 characters.  As for my USCM...I'm still collecting parts to kit them out properly.  And I'm scared of the camo paint job, LOL.

I've been playing about with a couple of old, poorly articulated SW figures and a 'Blanx' alpha male SA figure an this is what I've come up with as a first attempt. All the gaps in the cut areas are now filled in with putty!

After struggling with this guy I am even more in awe of StitchFett and his micro clones!!

And now with added shoulder pads! These cover up the Blanx bulbous articulation nicely...
