Some of you might remember this gem. Well it's now going to be turned into a section of Arkham

Little more window progress. Not really sure what I am doing with this as I am having a hell of a time trying to accomplish what I want
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/zt2/IMG_1072.jpg)
Test fitting the sidewalk and door. Yes, the door is supposed to be raised a bit.
This is just the first coat. Have to redo some of the grout lines, and add weathering, etc.

Little bit of weathering here. I took down the awning above the door as I wasn't feeling it. Probably just put a light or something.
Now, I am no graffiti artist, so don't laugh too much...lol. There will be posters on the wall and a sign above the garage door.

decided to board up the "window" with some imitation plywood...lol. In the middle, a rusty pipe will be sticking out.
Now for a little tutorial. I have used this stuff before with great results, but I recently learned a new trick with it to keep the rust going. Basically this is a kit you can get at any craft store.
First I took a Dremel to the end of some plastruct plastic. Then you "paint" on actual bits of ground up iron in a solution onto whatever you want to rust.
You wait for it to dry, and then apply the rusting solution with a brush. Well instead, a guy on a model car forum decided to try this:
You put the solution in a spray bottle
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/zt2/IMG_1342.jpg)
Place the object in a ziploc
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/zt2/IMG_1343.jpg)
Spray the solution in
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/zt2/IMG_1344.jpg)
And hang it up to do it's thing
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/zt2/IMG_1345.jpg)
I will leave this for a couple days to get a maximum effect

Holy crap this is awesome!
-
Well daggone. I have a great news story for tomorrow. Thanks for sharing this with us. Good to see you back around too.
-
Brother, I love this game, and love this diorama even more! Such HUGE attention to detail, I can't even begin to comment on it. There's too much to isolate! Absolutely gorgeous!
-
Dude....that is amazing!
-
Awesome work, looks great!
-
Mind-bogglingly spectacular.
-
dude thanks for the info on the rusting effect stuff what hobby store did you buy yours from?
BTW kick ass dio bro!
-
Awesome work, love the details.
-
CC I have been wondering what you have been up to! This is an amazing dio! Just like I would expect from you. Thanks for the tutorial, I will have to try that. Thanks for checking in and sharing. The details you add to everything you do makes it look so real! Hats off man!
-
Nice work!

I got it at Michael's Crafts
Thank you all for your kind words. It's comments like yours that keep me going!

Started on the far wall. I got rid of the columns. Also got the "mini billboard" started. This basically supposed to be a jumbo sign versus a full fledged billboard.

Little tutorial:
Basically made with Styrene
Make a square frame
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Slideshow/IMG_2153.jpg)
Add some mesh and another piece to hold down the mesh. The two vertical pieces hold the sign
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Slideshow/IMG_2156.jpg)
Gotta be painted and rusted of course
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Slideshow/IMG_2157.jpg)
It never seems like a lot of work, but this thing took me like two hours (including the wall)
-
This is amazing, one of the coolest dios in my opinion!
-
This is looking really good keep it comi'n!
-
This dio is EPIC! I love the ultra-realistic urban environment.
-
I am so far behind on my custom postings to the front page, but had to get this update on there. It is gonna be fantastic when done.
-
Thanks Tamer, I really appreciate it
I am hoping this is the dio that "puts me on the map" so to speak.
-
CC this is looking awesome! Thanks for the quick tutorial on building with styrene. I love your dioramas as they are always extremely realistic!

Small update here. Painted the doors on the "theater" building. Started the stucco, but ran out of my secret weapon....lol.

Thanks again Tamer!

Alright folks, I need you to put your imagination caps on.
This building will support a pizza place on the first floor. The top half will be an industrial building. Next door will be a small courtyard with another big building finishing off the block.
Hey, even Bats gets hungry for a slice (there will be a door here)

Of course, this is very rough, but fear not!
-
Look's great! ;D
-
This is really gonna be great. Update is on the front page.
-
Ok folks, little bit of an overdue update here.
I slapped some of my favorite Sno-Tex over the wall on Monday.
I found JUMBO sized online, so I bought two. I used over half a container on this wall!
You can't just paintbrush over this stuff, so I use the disposable foam paint brushes. Very tedious work as you basically have to "punch" this stuff on versus swiping.
First section
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Arkham%20City%20Diorama/IMG_2246.jpg)
Finished (well, the base coat anyway. Lots of weathering to come)
This will all get a darker wash maybe tonight and some heavy weathering. I still need to play some of the game today to get some ideas for pipes/wires/etc to take up some of the blank space on the wall. I also need to paint that sign base. I'll probably do that today as I plan on spray painting it outside and it's beautiful here in RI.
Anyway, hope to have the next update sooner! Then I can start work on the pizza joint.... really looking forward to that one!
-
That wall looks great so far! Can't wait to see it progress even further. Getting to play video games for research, that doesn't suck ;)

Got the sign painted up and wired tonight.

Those walls look excellent and the billboard with the lights is amazing.
Ron
-
Amazing work once again!
-
Phenomenal work on all aspects. I really love the attention to detail.
-
EPIC! ;)
-
Thanks everyone.
Been taking a bit of a break from the workshop these days. Hoping to get inspired soon!
-
This continues to be aweosme. How do you get the "brick" pattern on the walls?
-
This continues to be aweosme. How do you get the "brick" pattern on the walls?
I just buy the brick dollhouse sheets. I need to start making my own though as they get costly.
Thanks for the kind words, sorry for the slow response

Love that light up billboard. On the fp.
-
great stuff man how many hours to do??
-
great stuff man how many hours to do??
So far?? I dunno man, maybe 15-16 hours total since I actually started it? It's been shaped out in my workshop for well over 3 years...lol. It's depressing sometimes how slow the process is. It's a lot of waiting for stuff to dry, and not rushing(which sucks because I have no patience....lol) I try and work on a couple sections at a time, but sometimes things NEED to go in order.
anyway,
Small update here, I found Woody lurking around Arkham City again, and took his picture for surveillance.
"Criminally insane....lol"
Top O' the World! ( got the doors painted up and temporarily fitted)
Little tutorial here for some more realism on these concrete blocks
Paint your base color
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Arkham%20City%20Diorama/IMG_2794.jpg)
Woodland Scenics Coarse ballast, or just some regular fine sand would do it.
Sprinkle some on the wet paint
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Arkham%20City%20Diorama/IMG_2795.jpg)
Paint your base coat over once the bottom coat dries
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Arkham%20City%20Diorama/IMG_2796.jpg)
Wait till everything dries, then paint your top coats/weathering (more on that later)
Also started to "spackle up" the Pizza joint. This will all be covered, but it's sandable, so I wanted to try and get a smoother surface than the Styrofoam allows. This will be my first "3d" building, as I usually do facades. I need to join the corners and such, so I wanted to even it out as much as possible. This will make my later work easier (I hope)
That's about it for today.
-
Looking awesome as usual!
-
Thanks man!
-
Totally amazing!
-
Looking great mate and nice tutorial as well.
Ron
-
Alright, a lot of work tonight for not that big an area...lol. I wanted to make the pizza joint have a tile foundation with "cedar" shingle walls.
Got a piece of balsa-ish wood, and made a "shingle maker" template....
Grid done
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Arkham%20City%20Diorama/IMG_2893.jpg)
Now onto the cutting
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Arkham%20City%20Diorama/IMG_2894.jpg)
I actually wound up using a regular pair of scissors to cut these. Much easier than scoring and trying to snap off the pieces.
Section to be shingled
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Arkham%20City%20Diorama/IMG_2892.jpg)
One by one
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Arkham%20City%20Diorama/IMG_2895.jpg)
195 squares later
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Arkham%20City%20Diorama/IMG_2896.jpg)
Of course, these will be weathered, etc. I am not going to weather them until all 3 walls are done.
Onto the next wall
-
A customer commissioned me to make him a "Middle Eastern" intersection part of a city. I have mocked up the layout and started on a lookout tower he wanted. I will say right off the bat that I think the tower is too high, so I will be taking it down an inch or so At the current height, I'd have to make the buildings very big (not something I planned)
The front, back, and one side will be covered by wood panels, the beams are there for support and obviously hold the panels. There will be a ladder down the right side (looking at picture) and hopefully some machine gun mounts up front. I may also add some spot lights to it!
As you can see from the picture above, it's kinda big.
I have developed this dowel system that I think will add much security to the whole piece especially once I get it wrapped.

The roof slates turned out great and I'll be looking forward to seeing how the commission job turns out.
Ron
-
Started this seriously today. Cobbled the walls together prior, but trying to go a bit more authentic with wood versus my usual "stucco and brick" work. There will still be brick(it's a warehouse of course). Here I will chronicle my workings up until the finish line.
Day 1.
Laid the floor to get a feel for how it would look. I went with the "tongue depressors" to give a wider plank look that most old warehouses have. I still need to pull all this off and paint the foam first, then glue the floor down, then paint and weather....
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3541_zps92f2b153.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3541_zps92f2b153.jpg.html)
I like them uneven, makes it more realistic
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3542_zpse086ff56.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3542_zpse086ff56.jpg.html)
Of course Spidey stops by for a cold one AFTER the work is done!
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3545_zps3a4a47b7.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3545_zps3a4a47b7.jpg.html)
Couple of props and you already have a feel for what this may turn out to be
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3548_zps2eec9984.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3548_zps2eec9984.jpg.html)
I then started the framing of the wall. While most of this will be unseen, it will add strength and some realism in places it shows. I may leave a whole wall just studs as if he's still working on it. Now, this is NOT all to perfect scale, but I tried to make it all at least even. They are not 16" on center, I'm just going to wing it.
However, when I pulled out the level.....

Looking great so far. Good to see you back. On the front page.

That is awesome. Can't wait to see more.

Was tossing some ideas around about how to make some "armory lockers" when I strolled into my local Dollar Tree store. Lo and Behold!!! Almost perfect!! They had silver ones too, but I found some black ones mixed in!! No painting necessary! I will be making some brackets for the larger weapons and probably tie some of the hand guns to the back wall on a couple more. Now just to decide how many I want. Can't beat the price!

So today I challenged myself by making a peg board for Frank's workbench. I taped down some 1/2" graph paper and marked 224 holes.
4" x 8" balsa wood
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3673_zps664b8b77.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3673_zps664b8b77.jpg.html)
1/2" graph paper taped on
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3674_zps1ddbc809.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3674_zps1ddbc809.jpg.html)
224 "dots"
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3675_zps8d983f87.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3675_zps8d983f87.jpg.html)
Then I grabbed the dremel and drilled out those 224 holes.
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3676_zps85d18733.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3676_zps85d18733.jpg.html)
I wasn't too concerned that they were all perfect, as most of the board will be covered with tools and such
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3677_zpsfb930b22.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3677_zpsfb930b22.jpg.html)
All drilled
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3678_zpsff624b26.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3678_zpsff624b26.jpg.html)
I hit it up with a sanding block and some grey paint. I temporarily tacked it up to keep it straight while drying.
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3679_zpse7cb1df8.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3679_zpse7cb1df8.jpg.html)
I then tackled the window I wanted. Overkill? Yes. Waste of time? Possibly seeing as I will be covering it up, but now wondering if I should leave it just framed.
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3680_zpse1ebdb99.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3680_zpse1ebdb99.jpg.html)
Figure clamshell plastic. This will be made pretty opaque with sandpaper and some green and yellow paint, you won't be able to see through it.
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3681_zps8d75d462.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3681_zps8d75d462.jpg.html)

Also painted the floor where the wood will be laid. Not really worried about full coverage, just wanted to hide any white spots that will show through.
This took about 2.5 minutes with a foam brush.
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3683_zps52e3510f.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3683_zps52e3510f.jpg.html)

Next update I will be laying the floor down.

I like those ammo lockers. Nice price too.
You gotta appreciate the attention doing those 224 holes shows. I think it is looking great so far. Back on the front page.
-
Wow this is a really great look. So what are those things you're using for gun racks, letter holders or something?
I've seen others make pegboards at 1:6 scale, by getting little nails or paper clips, hammering them into the surface to be used, cutting them to length, sanding them en mass with the Dremel, then painting the whole thing to match. Does that work at a smaller scale or look horrible?
Great job and thanks for the WIP stuff, learned a lot!
-
hey that's sick
-
So I set about putting down the flooring. This is my "secret" ingredient. Works great on foam

I tell you one thing, I won't use the craft Popsicle sticks again. As I was warned on another board, they warp pretty badly.
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3688_zps56e2220a.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_3688_zps56e2220a.jpg.html)
Not to worried about the warping as it will be easy to cover up with props or whatever.

Did a small amount of work on the dio tonight. Bought one of those mesh paper organizers at Walmart the other day. $10 isn't too bad as it has a lot of useable mesh. Bitch to cut though. Went through 3 cutting wheels before grabbing an old pair of scissors to finish the job. Not really concerned that it's rough. Really need to get a gameplan down for this diorama. I am building when I should be planning. I will need to rebuild most of the stud wall as it's gotten crooked. Also, don't mind the bricks not lining up, that will all be camouflaged with various eye candy. Enjoy!

Mini update here. Had about a half hour to hit the shop today, made some posts. Of course these will be painted and have some conduit attached with some pegs for accessories.

Very cool man! The dio is looking great! Thanks for the progress pics.

Did some work on the dio this morning. Got all of the framing re-done, and gave it a wash. Very simple to do: Basically used a couple parts black, couple parts gray, one part white, and watered down until I got the right look I wanted. This is more of a water staining than it is painting which I feel makes the weathering more realistic. I am still working on the bricks, so don't pay any mind to them.

And yes, I am aware the window isn't perfectly lined up, but Frank built this with what he had lying around, so it's supposed to have a rougher look..

Excellent work mate, this is comong along great and I like the fact that things like the window aren't lined up it gives the dio more character.

Please read my comments on the front page as I meant every word.
This is really a great way to bring this one hope. Fantastic!
-
Love the rust detail. Looking great man.

Framed out the back wall tonight. The doorway was going to lead to a bathroom but I think it will now be the main door and I might scrap the bathroom idea (as fun as it would be to have one..lol). Anyway, gotta create a door system. The piece there is just a mock up piece.

Looks good.

Did a tad bit of work today on the dio. Double studded the door frame(by code..lol). Also started thickening up the door a bit. Any bits you see out of kilter will be sanded square. Working on a hinge system too for opening and closing. Did a bit of brick work above the wall. I have some plans for the bottom half that I am excited about. Also painted the beams. That's about it.
Double studs

I am making a hinge system for the door. Any wood you see out of plumb will be sanded square once it's fully dry.
Above brick work added. Ignore the seam. I have an idea for the lower part of the wall that I am pretty psyched about.

Looks good. Time to go back to the front page again. It looks like you are building an entire room in a house!
-
Thanks Tamer!
Did some more work this morning on the dio. Got the door rigged up on a very simple hinge "system". Might just seal it shut as it's not working how I wanted it to. Ran some electrical "romex" through the wall, and started weathering the bricks. Enjoy!
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4182_zpsa3ce9fa4.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4182_zpsa3ce9fa4.jpg.html)
Added left side wall so you can get an idea of how big this will be

That's it till next time!

Small work today. I found this......thing that looks kind of like a ventilation shaft or something, so I decided to mount it in the room. My thinking for this room is that it might have been an abandoned office or stock room in a bigger abandoned warehouse. That way, I can always add on later if I so chose (or found room...lol). So this might have been something that brought heat or A/C into this room. Also painted the first coat on the bricks and weathered the 2x4s on the far wall (still working on the bottom part idea). Then set up some props just to get a feel of what I can fit.
Vent type fodder

FINALLY got some time to work on this thing. Added my insulation to what is the "outer wall"
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4367_zpsfd002cc3.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4367_zpsfd002cc3.jpg.html)
Basically used poly-fill sprayed with pink hairspray. I then "teased" the poly to soften the pink and make it look more like worn insulation.
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4369_zpsdc29228d.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4369_zpsdc29228d.jpg.html)
Added some brown shipper fill and threw up some boards like Frank did it in a hurry.
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4368_zps97829db6.jpg) (http://s526.photobucket.com/user/CustomCreator2008/media/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4368_zps97829db6.jpg.html)
This will get more "tucked in" and weathered as I go.

Nice, off to share. Great effect with the fiberglass wall insulation there.
-
I love the constant updates. I am with Shawn. That fiberglass insulation is the kicker. Never seen that done before.

Finally got down to the workshop the past couple of nights. Core building is done. Door needs paint, and the whole interior needs "decorating"....lol. Almost there!

The interior work on this is just fantastic. It reminds me of the inside work I did in real life in my basement. Off to share.
-
WOW! This is soooooooooooooooo good! Very realistic effects, just awesome work man.
-
Small amount of work on the Punisher diorama tonight. Added a WWE sink and some pipes behind it. Hey, how else is Frank going to wash the blood off?? Lol.

WOW, the detailing in this diorama is very amazing
-
VERY IMPRESSIVE INDEED
-
Awesome work mate and the little details like the sink and insulation really add to the realism.
Ron
-
Very nice. Just another interior touch that really adds to the realism. Off to share.
-
Thanks all. Having a lot of fun with this one, trying to go slow as to not get my usual burnout.
-
That sink is an awesome addition! Your attention to detail here is really paying off.
-
(http://it-lex.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/thumbs_up.jpg)
-
So I made some legs for the slop sink and added a waste barrel. Can't have a barrel full of paper towel with no visible paper towels! Gotta fix that!
So I cut a strip of actual paper towels and a small styrene rod to wrap it round
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4806_zpsece4ddd3.jpg)
Used some white medical tape because....well, it's all I had at the workbench
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4807_zpsf98b35ae.jpg)
Added the tape to the end of the paper towel
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4808_zps8d9fb8ca.jpg)
Wound it around. The first attempt ended up being more like a toilet paper roll. We'll keep that just in case ;)
Next attempt was much better. Secured the end with some glue stick
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4810_zpsab66c1b1.jpg)
I'll eventually make some kind of holder for it, but for now it's done
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4811_zps67c38bdc.jpg)
YES! The water pipes are crooked! I haven't secured them yet in case I need to move them for more construction or whatever
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4813_zps7b41024f.jpg)
Also worked on some conduit, but nothing to show yet.
-
My comments about this are on the front page.
-
Love it (http://www.cosgan.de/images/smilie/froehlich/a075.gif) (http://www.cosgan.de/smilie.php)

Ok, back on track here!
Moving a bit away from the construction stuff, I thought I'd start on the props I plan on using for this diorama. I made some maps of the NY Subway system and of Manhattan(not shown). Also printed out Frank's BOLO poster. Have more stuff in the works, but some stuff I sized wrong. I have also added a small tutorial on how I add wear and tear to my props.
Freshly cut out map of NY Subway system
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4852_zpsa75849ce.jpg)
This thing is my best friend.....no really, it's kinda sad....lol
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4853_zpscd813a11.jpg)
So basically, I hit up the paper with the sanding block not really being too careful as I don't mind a tear or two. I then folded it up as small as I could
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4854_zps52bea7e7.jpg)
Finished product. It's kind of hard to see in the pictures, but the map is pretty faded and worn here and there. You can see most of it in the blue water and the top black area
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4855_zps07b7444a.jpg)
I also made a BOLO poster and tacked it up to the beam. What I did with this one is just hit it with some water, bent it up a bit and let it dry so it looks like Frank found it on the ground or whatever.
Also started putting together the gun racks
(http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc346/CustomCreator2008/Punisher%20Dio/IMG_4860_zpsa24ab520.jpg)
I love that this thing is far from done, but I can already pull of shots like this! (As you can see I painted and wore the workbench too)
A bit blurry, sorry

Wow, looks almost real. I just watched an anime last night that featured Frank and the Widow and must say you have really captured that same feel. Off to share.
-
That is incredible work there. From the photos, you would think it was already completed.
-
Started the interior decorating tonight. This is probably the most hated/loved part of diorama building for me. Finding the right balance between overdoing it, and not having enough. Although the end is in sight, there are still a few more things I want to do. I'll let the pictures do the talking tonight:

You've really captured him here. I can't believe the detail you worked into that on such a small scale. I could never design something half as good. I am in awe.
-
Stunning! Wow, you are killing it with the details! So many nice touches, STP sticker for 1. Top shelf diorama man!
-
Sensational work indeed, I just spent the last 10 min looking over the pics and the details are just outstanding like the broken mirror, the paper hand towel, the rubbish bin and the way some of the floor boards have raised from old age just to name a few.

Don't know where my original post went, but this went up on the front page a few days ago.

Added some scenic water to the top of drum, added some crushed dried leaves to simulate rust.

Wow, even the littlest detail. You seem to have thought of everything. Are you ready to call this one finished yet?
-
Can you believe I still have work to do on it??? Lol. I have a handful more things planned that I am trying to gut out because I am wanting to start another diorama and this one is holding me back...lol

This is 'Murica, that's why

"Hey Frank, 'member that time you ran me over with a steamroller and then left it parked on top of my head? No? Because I do."
-
Well we are sure enjoying it so continue on!
-
Impressive the way you push the detail in all th way.
How have done the sink ?
-
The sink is a WWE accessory. I added a bit more paint wash to it and obviously made the legs. The pipes behind are just styrene rods painted copper. Thanks for the comment!
-
Wow, this is really turning out to be something extraordinary. Love your attention to detail!
-
Super detailed goodness!
-
Mission Accomplished. While I would never call this diorama "finished", I am putting it aside to start on another new adventure. It's been almost a full year since I started this and glad to have the workbench clear for the next project!

The above picture was one of my biggest inspirations in building this dio. It's a line from a Gym Class Heroes song and I am glad I got to reach the finish line.
Take a bow Frank, you've been a hell of a building buddy....

Thanks for taking the ride with me!

So, so great. It tricks the eye into believing it's a full-scale room. There are more details in this piece than I could take in if I had eight hours to devote to it. The textures, the dings and dents, the Daredevil face on the target...
You are a master of your craft.

This dio would really work in multiple lines. I have enjoyed watching it come together. Off to share it to the front page a final time.
