I got this one on clearance at Target for $39.19
A Target exclusive, this battle pack includes something for every Clone Wars fan, out there.
Includes: 6 figures and two medium sized vehicles, two decal sheets, and a simple one sheet set of instructions.
Figures:
Battle droids: two of these are included, are repaints of the Clone Wars Battle Droid and feature, two guns, one droid blaster and one missle firing launcher. These are only semi articulated figures as you have elbow joints, balled shoulder joints, hip to leg joints, and a twisting joint at the waist. There is no head, neck, knee, or ankle articulation whatsoever.
"good luck getting one of these to stand by itself without the help of a pegged figure stand"
Super Battle droid: one included, a re-release of the Clone Wars SBD. Features, no accessories, semi articulation with joints at the shoulder, elbow, and waist.
Clone Troopers: two included, these are repaints of the plain white Clone Wars clone trooper with the symbol on the one arm. Both feature a medium clone blaster and are super arty.
Anakin Skywalker: A re-release of the Clone Wars Anakin, features lightsaber, a gauntlet mounted missle launcher that is removable, and only semi articulation. He has a ball jointed neck and head, has joints at the elbows, shoulders, waist, and wrists above the gloves. No knee or ankle articulation whatsoever.
Vehicles:
AAT: droid army Armored Assault Tank
This is a repaint of the Ep1 AAT and features the same attributes of the one I reviewed in this board. Nice paintjob, though.
AT-AP: Republic Army All Terrain Attack Pod
This is a repaint of the Clone Wars AT-AP that was released last year.
It features 3 posable legs, two opening side doors,a small swiveling lower cannon and the top spinning seated turret with a missile firing launcher.
I like this paintjob better than the previous release and although I didnt take a pic, this paint scheme closely matches, in style and color, the paint scheme used on the AT-TE.
This vehicle is the main reason I bought this set although if you know me, you know that I have plans for each figure and the AAT, as well.
Not a bad value at the clearance price of $39.19 as far as today's prices go. That's like buying the two vehicles, last year, and getting the 6 figures for free.

Shots of the AAT and one comparing painjobs with the Clone Wars release one.

one shot comparing paintjobs of the AT-AP, and one shot showing the whole loose battle pack.

good looking vehicles. Definitely a better price than buying these as single vehicles.

That is no doubt an awesome deal you got there. ;D
Unfortunately what would rank very low on my Diorama /Display Idea list. :-\
The good deals always seem to be that way !! :P

I hear you there, rodger. I can imagine you making some kind of staging area for a few atap walkers to utilize, though. Those clones need some way to get up in that cockpit, don't they?
-
really looooooooooooong ladders?
-
is it just me and mine, or were the lower cannons on the atap bent to one side? really loved the set, but the cannon was disappointing.
-
you mean the big one or the little lower one, DRS? My bigger one kind of leans to one side a bit.
-
yeah, it was the bigger one.
every one i have seen seems to be the same.
i thought it was just mine and the way it was packaged, but seems like it really is all of them, all the different releases are all alike there.

I may look into finding a way to drill a long piece of wire into this barrel to try to straighten it. It's whatever wonky plastic that they are using that is to blame, I'm afraid.
-
I like them.
If you ever have the need to trade the red one for a regular one, hit me up, I dig the coruscant red stuff.
I might have to look for that battle pack, now.

Dug this one out of the archives Clint, great review!
I recently found this set at my local toy shop, Smyths here in the UK.
The fact that you picked up yours for $39 on clearance makes the £49.99 that they are charging easier to swallow.
Like you I have both an AT-AP & an AAT, but the deco changes are enough to warrant the purchase, plus this pack is great for army building.
I will definitley be picking it up & your review has helped my decision.
Cheers

Picked up mine today. Thrilled to bits with it but am now selling off my original AT-AP, check out my thread in the sales section for details.
