As I wind down the Cantina 4 Project i'm contiplating what to do next.
Short and sweet comes to mind but the subject isn't quite clear.
Any suggestions on a simple wall mounted Toy display are welcome.
Even though i'm not a Hot Wheel collector persey. I do like there Muscle cars and am planing to do something along thought lines but also something Star Wars will be included.
Maybe along an AT-AT line or something... [at1]
What do you think ?
-
I think an ATAT based shelf would be cool as would a wide gammut of other items. I saw someplace where a guy build a display shelf based on the "interior" of an ATAT, I remember it was a pretty cool concept.
Me being an OT guy, even a cloud city themed shelf could be cool.
-
Yes! A cloud city themed shelf would be so cool. Make it like the landing platform the Falcon was sitting on with a walkway leading to it and possibly some background building forms. BMF sized, of course.
-
I, too, like the Bespin Cloud City concept for something. Also, that AT-AT theme would be cool as perhaps a figure display? A lot of possibilities for them both...
-
With the work I have seen from you Roger with the Ulitimate TIE Fighter display, something with an AT-AT would make me pass out, from excitement.
-
Thanks for the replys !! ;D
Cloud City Landing Platform I have considered in the past.
The idea before was to size it for a Slave I but the BMF would be Very Cool but VERY Large !! :o
A BMF is tops on my wish list But still a wish... :(
Maybe .... I'll get back to ya'll on it !! ;)
-
A Slave 1 sized platform would be very cool, most people wouldn't have the room for a BMF shelf and brackets I would assume, I have my BMF on a round table top blank on top of a book shelf and it still looks unwieldy.
-
I think for now going with a slightly smaller (shipable) version of this.

I still have some computes and tactical screens. The proceeds to fund a BMF project.
After tackling this whopper...

I think I can get a handle on a BMF.. :D
The pending sales of the Cantina IV shelves proceeds are going to fund a video camera cuz I am dying to do live Tutorials.

Very, Very Nice still drooling oveer the Tie Displays lol
-
So did you settl eon the next design yet? I am both curious and anxious to see what new goodies you churn out.
-
Unfortunatly not. Between Fall work inside and out at our place and my mother in-laws, packing up toys bound for Austria, and switching over to a new computer I haven't had any time to go into Frank'nstein mode. :-\
The good news is i've been enthused to go into writing mode.
The first of the Bar tutorials is up.. Preview (http://www.thenewsandcrawlerworkshop.com/Shelves/Cantina/TMOCantinaIVBarVessels/tabid/155/Default.aspx)
I have another almost done. I've decided to Auction off Cantina IV #1. ;)
I would like to wrap up all the writing before hand though.
-
Rodger, I will say one thing. It would be a honor to own one of your Battle of Hoth shelves.
-
While i've had brain lock i do what i always do.. :-\
Shop cleaning and maintenance. :D
Today I came up with this...

Just a rough sketch but i wanted to keep it simple. ;)

Looks like a Tie shelf to me. Bring it on, Rodger!
-
Tell me thats a Walker shelf!

Tell me thats a Walker shelf!
No but believe me i'm trying. I'll drop everything and get on it as soon as an Idea comes to mind.. :-\
-
Not a shelf, but I bet you could sell this to Tamer ;) AT-AT bunk bed
-
I would take that Sarge! Its nice to feel the walker love here. LOL.
On a more serious note Rodger, I do have some ideas I would like to run by you for a walker shelf based on the new IMPS stories. If you haven't seen that yet by the way, I highly recommend it. The way they load up ships, atats, etc. so reminds me of your shelves.
