Thanks a lot :D
-
That is fantastic, I love it, the paint scheme, the execution of the details, Great stuff.
-
Very nicely done! I like that fire and smoke effect and love your mini dio base. The paint apps on the figure are just right.
Great job!
-
Well done on that figure! I like the idea of a Phase 1 Firestormtrooper. Welcome to the 'Yards.
-
that is realy realy cool. I love the dio base and the flame effect on the flame thrower. where did the backpack and gun come from?+
-
The backpack and the flamethrower are complete self-made.
I have also made a YouTube video of that Trooper where you can see how I made that custom:

Clone Assassin
Now I want to show you my favorite, the Clone Assassin.
For the custom I used the body of an ARC-Trooper and the head of a BARC-Trooper. The vibro-blades are made of plastic.
Here the link to the YouTube video for the Clone Assassin:
-
I love that one! I need to try one of those myself!
-
That is great. Can't wait to see your Clone Assassin.
Btw in the video that I made for that custom you can see some tricks to make a Clone Assassin. Maybe you can use some of them.
-
I did see that video, and will be pirating some of those ideas! My biggest question is, how did you paint on that symbol on his helmet?
-
I love it! using the gauntlet from the arc trooper as a base for the one blade is briliant! very well done, and nice clean paint apps to boot.

Here the link to the YouTube video for the Clone Assassin:
ooooh that's awwwwwesom! that's one of the neatest twist on the clone trooper kit I've seen yet!
the BARC pilot pilot helmet suddenly looks a lot more sinister to me now...
-
Wow, that assassin turned out cool! I have been wanting to try one of those but you pulled it off brilliantly.
Great job!
-
That is awesome. spot on. Great job.
-
Excellent work on that clone assassin. Those blades are wicked. Very fine job.
-
Wow that Assassin Trooper is awesome! Great job on everything.
-
I did see that video, and will be pirating some of those ideas! My biggest question is, how did you paint on that symbol on his helmet?
At first I made a sketch of the symbol with a pencil.
After that I painted the symbol with a very fine brush on the helmet.
-
Spec Ops Clone Trooper
This is my custom Speacial Ops Clone Trooper.
It is one of my best customs I think.
I hope you like it guys
In my YouTube video that I made for the SpecOps Trooper you can see more details:
-
And part 2 of the SpecOps Trooper presentation.
I found the picture of that trooper on bing with some other awesome Clone Trooper.
-
Simply outstanding and what a welcome addition you are to our little SW home.
Welcome to the Yards and you have made the front page!

Not a problem, good work always makes the fp here. Thanks for sharing it.
-
Love both the Assassin and the Spec Ops Trooper. Awesome!! I love that you used metal to make the breast and shoulder plates. I can't wait to see more!
-
This is awesome Fiala. I was going to mention JubJubJedi's drawing to you when I saw you figure, then I scrolled down and see that You made the figure from the pic you posted. I remember when he was posting the drawings as he came up with them and we would comment to help him refine some but most were perfect first run. As for your version of this clone, I love it. Great parts and painting. The only thing that kind of sticks out is the large leg pack, for me it would look better with a smaller one. You have done a great job with it and I agree it is one of your best. Right up there with that Clone Assassin.

yeah, you are right the leg pack is too big. I had only this one at home so I took it. I hope I can find a better one to fix this problem.
-
Good lord, FF, you have some great figs to show us. I really like this one and your fabrication on his accessories is inspiring. You created a great rendition of that drawing. What will you show us next?
-
Your best work so far! Love that Special OPS trooper. Awesome work!
-
WOW! I LOVE that Spec Ops Clone's helmet and visors! The accessories are incredible! This is by far my favorite so far!
-
Good lord, FF, you have some great figs to show us. I really like this one and your fabrication on his accessories is inspiring. You created a great rendition of that drawing. What will you show us next?
I have a couple of things to show : Phase 2 Firestormtrooper, mountain infantry Trooper, Inferno Stormtrooper, SBD flamethrower and maybe some custom weapons.
-
Spacial ops trooper is awesome.
-
MOUNTAIN INFANTRY TROOPER
Here is my next clone custom.
This time I want to show you my mountain infantry trooper. He is part of the 18th mountain infantry regiment.
For the custom I used a Ep. 3 Clone Trooper from Saga Legends, white cloth, LEGO glasses and backpack, onion net, some packs form a tank model kit and some other accessories.
The stand is made of wood, model kit snow powder and some accessories (EMP launcher, packs etc.)
The flag is made of paper and wire.
I decided to make this custom after my military service (6 months) is the Austrian army.
The first picture shows an austrian soldier from the Jägerbattalion 24 in the Alps.
You Tube video for the mountain infantry trooper:
and here is a small YouTube video of my own adventure in the Alps:
and if you are interested to see more pics of Austrias mountain infantry here is a good video:

I found today the new wave of the Revell easy kits (V-19, Jedi Starfighter), I hope I can upload some pics soon.
-
Very nice! I love the little diorama, great effects with the snow on the gun and everything. The only thing that kind of looks out of place is the Lego glasses, but at the same time they almost work. Nice job on the soft goods as well.
-
Wow....amazing!

I hope he likes my custom trooper
-
I'm a big fan of Hasbro's imperial jumptrooper but he has no jetpack and the correct weapon.
This was the chance to make a new custom.
I used a Jango Fett jetpack and repainted it. For the rail detonator I used a DC-15 blaster rifle and plastic.
If you are interested to make this weapon and jetpack:
-
and some more pics
-
Send me the embed code and I will load that great video up on the front page of the Shipyards! Nice work.

Ah, glad to see your thread finally! All your figures are great, I especially love the jumptrooper, excellent work!
-
dang! definately NOT going to pass on the next jumptrooper I see.... I've been hesitant to get one not only because of it's lack of accuracy but because it looks SO close to the evo-trooper's design... But yours definately puts it to the way it SHOULD have been. wish hasbro wouldn't drop the ball so often...
-
incredible customs man, the special ops guy is AMAZING. Keep it up

these inferno troopers look like they stepped right out of the gates of Hell, like the Dark One's own clonetrooper footsoldiers, I love them all.
-
FF, that Inferno Stormtrooper is an excellent finale to your Inferno Evolution Masterpiece! If I were to pick a favorite, it'd be the ROTS/Phase III version. The markings are my favorite! That's not to say your lines on the latest Stormtrooper aren't masterpieces! Job well done my friend!
-
what about an inferno flavored droid of some sort to go with these bad asses?

B2-F Flamethrower Droid
NFC asked me for a flamethrower Driod. Now here it is, the B2-F Super Battle Driod.
I used for this custom the SBD which comes in the Battlefront II pack. The fueltanks on the back are made of wood.
I hope you like it guys:

Ha Ha, Fila, that is just awesome and a great complimentary piece to your custom evolutions set of clones. I had to front page this one, buddy.

Military Police Trooper
Hey guys here you have my first custom in 2010. This is my Military Police Trooper with creature. I used for the custom the helmet of a Quad Gunner figure and the body of a normal
Clone Trooper. The creature is completely fantasy. He wears a half-Kama with one DC-17 blaster pistol and a DC-15s speacial. He has also a short tasset, radio equipment and a baton.
The weathering is made with drybrushing.
Story:
This Trooper is part of the 5th Military Police Brigade.
The tasks of this Brigade are:
- Security duty
- Close Protection
- Law enforcement
- Inquiries
- Detention of dangerous criminals
- Operation of detention facilities
- Interrogations
- Security duty
- Searching for explosives
-
...
-
Totally awesome work on the Military Police Trooper, very original concept 10/10.

Very cool trooper, great concept and great execution.
-
Another very original custom, Fila! I love this one. Looks like a good candidate for the front page. What did you use for the trooper's beasty?
-
very cool fiala i like the half kama idea
-
That's one amazing custom.
Big thumbs-up!
-
Amazing custom whats his name. What did you use for the creature he has.
-
NICELY done. I love it. I love the half kama idea, and the helmet looks superb.
Im not a big fan of the drybrushing and weathering on this one... It looks a little too obvious. It may just be the lgihting and the camera flash though bringing out the major dry brushing strokes and covering the finer details, as is often the case.
another great figure! look forward to more great ones in this new year.
-
Great custom. ;D
-
AWESOME!
Could just see this guy out on patrol with a Massiff or something, although I think the introduction of a "Star Wars Dog" is brilliant! lol
Nice job Fiala!

This kind of stuff is what I'me hoping we'll eventually see in the Clone Wars cartoon.

Maybe you can call him LEFTY because his half kama is on his left,I guess.

-
FF, WHOW!
I had to stand back when I saw th images of your latest custom.
I thought I'd seen everything that could be done with a Clone Trooper, and you have just gone and re-invented the wheel.
A spectacular piece of model making and paintwork.

Is the animal trained to sniff out Death Sticks and spice or just living criminals?
I don't know. I like the idea with the Death Sticks and spice, yeah I think he is trained to sniff for that.
-
Sweet!
I hope Elan Sleazebaggano did go home to rethink his life and found a new career then so this guy and his "dog" don't have to hunt him down.
-
yeah lol ;D
I think Obi-Wans mind trick works pretty good on him so he don't get problems with the Military Police
-
more food for thought: who are the various Jedi than MIGHT work with this MP unit and which one of those Jedi are in command? Established characters or fan fiction of your own creation?
-

I'm not the biggest Jedi fan and I must say I haven't make my mind on it. In my opinion is the Military Police under the direct command of Palpatine like the Shocktroopers.
Or have you a good Jedi who can lead the MP?
-
This is one sweet trooper and creature. There is nothing I don't like about it.

oh I have an idea for one... started messing around with some RANDOM parts, witha Marvel Universe figure base, last week trying to put together a new character but I got stuck. My thinking is he's a Jedi that's a true warrior, a total fighter with the ability to rally the troops on tough assignments, a bit of a rogue in the eyes of the Council but a true straight arrow... maybe I could turn him into a Paladin type Jedi, like a constable/marshal. He could lead a unit of tough as nails MP clone troopers with pride and honor
the character then didn't have a name or much of a bio (since I didn't have much of a role or function for him yet when I stopped working on it) but all that constable stuff is going off rapid-fire in my head right now.
any thoughts on those sketchy ideas?

I would love to see an at-at arctic version of this, perhaps similar to Hemble's at-at door gunner. I could see so many great variations on this. I so appreciate the tutorial you have given us on this. It is quite something to see you guys share your secrets so openly and we appreciate it.

lambonspit found a name for the police creature
lambonspit send me today this message with a very very cool name for my custom Military Police creature:
"How about something like an Aarisian Hound. From the planet Aaris III, a lush planet full of jungles and oceans, the hounds were used in the civil war which took place between the native species prior to the galactic civil war. The hounds were shipped off planet and traded for weapons by the primitive race, and were quickly identified as excellent sentry guards due to their excellent sense of smell and their physique. Their planet of origin was forgotten soon after their discovery, and as such, domestic breeding became popular amongst police forces. Their planet of origin was once again founded on 8 ABY when an imperial Moff conducted research on the planet. "
I love it mate. I try to bring it on the custom base as well, this is really awesome. First this great wallpaper from Hangarbay94 and now this great story and name for the creature.
Thank you so much for your support guys, I really appreciate it.
-
Great story. I know one thing, I would love to see a Hothy version of this same type of figure used to sniff out rebels in the Echo Base after the Imperials conquered it. This is just a great concept. There are also hounds used to sniff out Jedis in the new Imperial Commando novel!

That sounds great, maybe with a Snow biker scout custom with the black and yellow markings on it.

Sergeant Obs
Hey guys here you have my next custom Trooper. It is Sergeant Obs from the 27th scouting battalion (the clunker watcher). This is my first custom clone with camo. I gave him also a defilade-vest. A big thanks goes to Commander Kurgan and Clonehead I used their Clones as guideline for the camo. The mini diorma is mainly made of wood and plants from the forest.
The name obs comes from observe
accessories:
This is also my first custom Trooper with GI Joe parts. I used the backpack, the pistol and the knife from snake eyes.
The defilade-vest is made of an onion net and brown and green cloth.
as always, the You Tube video will follow next weekend with more details
I hope you enjoy the pics:

The green stuff is moss but I've really no idea what the name of the plants is, I just made a walk through the forest and took what I found and they looked good.
-
Nice job on the camo clone, Fila! That defilade-vest turned out pretty cool and I like how you wrapped it on his gun as well.
Your little mini dio base turned out nice, also. That moss looks great for the groundwork and the little nameplate that you made for it is terrific. Looks like a front page story to me.

My first try on the defilade-vest was not very good but now I'm pretty happy how it turned out.
-
Loving the bases you create, these are excellent, as for the figure it is well put together and the paint job is cool, I can honestly say the overall look is well done (however it's a clone and not my cup of beverage, I can never seem to bring myself to get excited about clones, as everyone seems to do them - however saying this I really like those bases).
-
That custom is fantastic and the dio base is even better. Love the style of camo you used and the name Obs is fine. Well done on another fantastic job!!
-
Thank you guys
lambonspit:
I'm glad that you like Obs, can't wait to see more of your customs

Clone Trooper Phy
Phy is part of the 9th NBC defence company. The task of this company is to prodect other clones and the civilian population from toxic substances.
equipment:
He uses a oxygen cylinder and two different analytical apparatus . Some parts of his armour have an acid-fast cover.
He has also a DC-17 pistol with holster.
information about the custom:
I used for this custom figure a evolution pack Ep. III Clone Trooper. The oxygen cylinder and the holster are from Rum Sleg. The pipes are made of an o-ring seal. The mini dio is made of wood and the toxic substance is a wood glue/revell paint mix.
I hope you like it.

omg that was so sweet! Love that diorama you created for the figure!
-
I do like the little dio and recognize those barrels as I have some of my own. What really excites me is that DC-17 holster you have got strapped to that dude's leg. Where did that come from.
It's a clean build with nice paint apps, as always, Fila. This one looks nice. You are getting into the little diorama thing, arn't you?

Jedihunter: Thanks mate, any new stuff from you on the way?

New prject: Clone Wars Clone Assassin
Hey guys I hope it is ok to post some wip-pics of my newest custom project. When I saw Ironhide's custom Clone Wars Fordo, I got the idea to make a Clone Wars custom of my favorite clone, the Clone Assassin. So a big thanks to Ironhide for this great custom trooper and the inspiration. I started with the helmet two days ago. It is my first scratch build helmet so it is not very good. I hope I can finish this custom in the next week.
-
Hey that is tons better than I could do!
-
looks like a great rendition of the legacy helmet in animated style! What sculpting product are you using?
-
Looks good, Fila! Is that red/orange paint on the visor, or something reflective?
-
That looks really cool.I really like the visor
-
a great start FF!! going to love what this looks like when it done...
-
far superior to me buddy !, i have a feelin this is gonna be the dogs...
-
thanks a lot guys. I over-worked the helmet today and painted the figure.
spudafett:
thanks. I used plastic wood (knetbares Holz) from a company called Grilith. I must say not the best choice but it worked better on the plastic than I expected.
Clint:
Yeah the visior is painted with light orange. I destroyed the original paint while I was working with the plastic wood and I thought the orange would look good on that figure.
-
that clone assasin is gonna be awsome man wish i could work with casts and molds like you do
check out my new customs there at bottom of the page

Clone Assassin (Clone Wars)
I finished my first Clone Wars custom figure. I hope you like my custom Clone Assassin. The basic figure was a Rex. I over-worked the helmet a little bit since my last post. The vibro blades are made of cardboard. The colour is a mix of 60% light blue and 40% firered dull. The weathering is made with darkwashing and drybrushing. I gave him a patch to show the cruel training of the Clone Assassins.
story:
Clone assassins were a specialized class of clone troopers created by the Kaminoan cloners on the planet of Kamino. These troopers were commissioned by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, through a special order during the Clone Wars. The assassins were trained specifically to eliminate Jedi by utilizing Teräs Käsi, a form of unarmed combat. Through training duels with Padawans of the Jedi Order, the clones developed greatly enhanced speed as well as an aptitude for anticipating strikes and the ability to resist Jedi mind tricks. (wookiepedia)

-
Awesome! Great job on the helmet mod and cobbling everything together. Looks great!
-
thanks for all your great comments guys
custom clone:
I used both variants, the ink wash (darkwashing) and the drybrushing for the weathering
wraithnine:
Thanks a lot Jay. Steel hands, that sounds very cool.
clonemedic96:
Yeah the helmet fit with the eyepatch. It is a bit tight but it works.
Luke:
thank you very much mate

-
Man that custom is so cool!
-
poucher:
thx for your comment mate. I think you mean a Clone Wars Phase 2 Clone Assassin. That sounds like an interesting idea but I've no idea how a BARC-Trooper Phase 2 helmet looks like in Clone Wars-style. Maybe you have a good idea.
lambonspit:
thx a lot buddy, great that you like the CW Clone Assassin. Can't wait to see some new custom vehicles made by you.

A base for the custom Clone Wars Clone Assassin
Here the custom base for my latest custom figure. The first two pics are made with Unigraphics NX4.
I hope you like it guys.
-
Another top notch base for your custom, Fila.
I do like that Clone Wars assassin.
-
Wow, this figure was great, but boy do I like these bases.
-
all your base are belong to us....
:P sorry I couldn't resist.
Seriously though, the custom bases make your figures go over the top. the TCW style clone assassin was already awesomely cool, but the base adds 100 times more awesome to it!
-
Great clone assin custom. ;D
-
Clonehead:
Thanks a lot Clint. Great to hear that from the best custom-helmet maker.
Tamer:
Thanks a lot buddy, I'm glad that you like CW Clone Assassin
spudafett:
Thanks mate. I wish Hasbro give us more bases for the figures. Some figs are really hard to stand like the Gungan Warrior. It's the same on the articulation. All Joe figs have great articulation and all Joe figs come with a base. Same company different quality.
clones are awesome:
Thanks a lot

I'm a firm believer that hasbro does the things they do with joe figs because it is "tradition" that joes be articulated AND come with a stand, and a file card. This is standard since the line was developed back in the day... Fans of the gi-joe line, and collectors would throw a fit if the quality, and traditional aspect of the figures was changed...
star wars figures however have ALWAYS been plaugued with changes. Hasbro is so focused on making "movie acurate" figures that the things we want are lost, stands, articulation, better accessories... hasbro spends too much on the tooling costs of making 100 different versions of the same character as well. Their joe line has been standardized and parts are used over and over with only one or two new pieces required for a different figure. This makes costs for new figures lower on their end because they don't have to build new molds....
if hasbro would scrap their entire star wars line and start from scratch using the recipe they have with their new joe lines, I think we'd all be a little happier.
-
look dude arsome mate this is mintige you just made me feel great can you make more please your mint thats what i meant thank you if you want a recipe see my forum you can do as much as you want i love face 2 clone wars clone troopers

I totally agree. It's a fact that every Star Wars line is different. The Force Unleashed line comes with a stand, most of the others not. Some figs like Commander Gree from the the Legacy Collection have excellent articulation others not and so on. I think Hasbro make this changes on every figure (choins, weapon boxes, BAD parts and so on)to keep the figures attractive for us but I would prefer to see a standarized concept on all the figures. I know it is not possible to make a ultra articulation on every character but why is there no articulation in the legs on Cad Bane and some other CW figures. The Gree articulation on every realistic-style Clone , leg articulation on every CW character and a stand with ervery figure and I would be the happiest collector.
-
they claim that articulation adds to their "tooling cost" and that they don't put in articulation because "kids don't care about articulation" and by not adding it they keep the cost down...
but wait... the cost down for who? cuz figures keep going UP IN PRICE?! and DOWN IN QUALITY?
I understand that tooling all the joints and parts is more expensive, but instead of making new molds/tools for every single figure they could standardize it like they have with the joe line and save money and keep the articulation!
If they want to cut corners with the figure then they should at least include extra accessories with the figure to make up for it. The legacy collection figures with the weopons locker idea was fantastic! I would rather see that than a stupid BAD part... I know BAD parts are what drives alot of their sales because people will by a realy crappy figure just to finish their BAD. however, I would rather see a playset, or single carded BAD's instead.
which brings up another issue, why NOT bring back the Build-A-Droid vintage factory? or at least something similar, and include a slew of BAD parts that have already been offered previously, this time being all together!? I know I'd buy it!
ok... sorry for the ranting thread jack.....
-
Devin, put that in the form of a question and I will ask it our next round of Hasbro Q and A's.

Kazdan Paratus
Kazdan Paratus was an Aleena Jedi Knight and General who fought in the Clone Wars and survived Order 66.
In his early life and work towards the Jedi Trials, Paratus did not possess the detachment most Jedi needed in order to pass the Jedi Trials, instead preferring to hole himself in his room and to build droids for the Jedi Temple, to aid in training Padawans. After completing the Trials with his machines, Paratus was appointed a Jedi Knight of the Galactic Republic.
Approximately 16 years after Order 66, the insane Jedi was discovered by Darth Vader, who sent his apprentice, Galen Marek on a mission to eliminate the Aleena Jedi on Raxus Prime.
(wookiepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kazdan_Paratus)
I hope you like it guys.

Thats a hell of a character you never cease to amaze me with the stuff you come up with love it bro!!
-
Very nice job. I love this character!
-
Very nice, I never knew this one existed. Love the back apparatus. On our front page.
-
Great job Fiala. This was one of my favorite people to fight in the force unleashed.
-
FF awesome as always ,you have a fantastic eye for detail!
-
holy i must not say........ that is great
-
Nice one. This was one of the charecters I wanted to see Hasbro do. Wish he would have came out in these new Toys R Us packs. Good job man. I might have to make one of these myself.
-
that is an awesome rendition of the character. Now you need to do a junk golum to go with him. :)
I think I wouldn't have used the grevious arms though... the lack of elbow and wrist articulation turns me off to using those parts (you know how I am with articulation)... I think what I would have done would be to use the arms off of two ig-86 droids and removed their claw hand and replaced it with something else....
ingenious use of the lower hip section of the Ig-86 droid though (I am correct with that part right?). using it as a backpack is genious. I'd never thought of that.
-
fiala, im a sucker for anything KOTOR and force unleashed. This figure is amazing. I love the suspended figure, the mechanical legs and everything about it. I soo need to try this if i can ever find another Tsui Choi to work on.
-
FF that is some sensational work buddy, he looks great buddy, well done!!! 10/10, hey lamb i have a few of Tsui Choi if you after one PM me...
-
Fiala, these customs are, as NFC usualy says, 9 kinds of awesome! :)
hey I got quoted! I missed that till just now ;D it's true too!
As for Kazdan here, well, he's definitely incredible. Firstly, he's Aleenan and I love that species for some reason and customs of them are ALWAYS welcome. Secondly, EVERYTHING about this custom is totally cool, from the droid arms to the details changes you made to Tsui Choi. Just amazing work all around, certainly 9 or even 12 kinds of awesome
-
thank you so much for all your great comments guys
kreeper2:
Thanks a lot mate
Luke Sprywalker:
Thank you very much Luke
Tamer:
Thanks for putting it on the fp buddy.
Squirepec7:
Thanks. It is also one of my favorites from the game. I also like his junk droids.
wraith9:
Thanks a lot Jay. I think I played the Raxus Prime level five times in the last two days to see all the details on him.
darth neo:
Thank you very much
Mike Cypress:
Thanks Mike. I'm really looking forward to the TFU packs. There are so many great figures included.
spudafett:
I see you have a great eye for detailing Spud. You are right with the Grevious arms (Clone Wars) but it is not the lower hip section that i used for the backpack. I used the lower hip section from the L8-L9 flamethrower droid. btw I had also the idea to make one of his junk droids but I'm not sure which one I should make.
lambonspit:
Thanks a lot mate, great that you like Kazdan. I hope you get a Tsui figure for a Kazdan custom.
TheCloneCommander:
Thanks a lot Trev. I'm glad that you like it buddy.
NFC:
;D thanks mate. 12 kinds of awesome now that is really awesome
-
Fiala, this figure turned out great, dude! You are on a roll with your custom work, sir. Plus, you never dissapoint.
Have you got a droid custom going for the contest?
-
All I can say to Paratus is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job, and I love the light-staff!
-
Paratus is awesome dude! he'll go good with those new BP's coming out soon!
-
Paratus is awesome dude! he'll go good with those new BP's coming out soon!
I agree highly!
-
In the Force Unleashed, I loved killing this guy. Now all you need is a Starkiller figure and they can duel it out.
Great job,by the way.
-
Clonehead:
Thanks Clint and yeah I finished today a custom droid. It is a Scrap Guardian. I hope I can use it as entry for the contest or does it break one of the contest rules?
USD:
Thanks a lot. The light-staff is made of a normal lightsaber, wire and cotton swabs.
clonemedic96:
Thanks mate. Can't wait to get the packs.
Irish Ninja 97:
Yeah, I think in one of the new TFU battle packs is a Starkiller figure in Raxus Prime outfit included but I'm not sure.
-
Scrap Guardian
The Scrap Guardian was a droid construct created by Jedi master Kazdan Paratus. They were found on the junkyard world of Raxus Prime and were held together by the Force. The Scrap Guardians served as the core component of Master Paratus's droid army on that planet. Formed from detritus and cast off parts, they were animated by Paratus's Force abilities and served as sentinels created to defend Kazdan against hordes of opportunistic scavengers.
They use massive plasma spears that they can throw or strike with. They also have the ability to disassemble themselves into the ground. Like all metal things, they have little defense against electricity.

great custom!!
-
amazing man!
-
Cool! :)
-
that looks pretty damn sweet FF you should enter that into the droid contest ... great work buddy!!
-
this is great dude! exact quote of what i said earlier! this is scrapyard droid makes me curious as to if you are making the big scrap droid mini-boss from the Raxus level
-
nice!!
-
Fiala, i just checked the wookipedia definition for droid and it looks like your figure would indeed qualify.
-
very well done.
I don't remember seeing this one in the game though, was it actually seen during gameplay? The ones I remembered looked more like protocol droids....
either way, it looks exactly like the source material you showed. Very nice.
-
Wow, that is weird, but in a cool way. Never seen anything like it. It does match the reference pick quite well. Very nice job on the scratch build and vision of this custom. Just looking at the reference pic you can tell this one would take a lot of work and creativity. Luckily you have plenty of both. Great job!
-
FF,
Nice choice of figures to customize. It never occurred to me to attempt a scrap guardian. It must have been fun to put together. When customizing, I tend to work with parts at hand. You've made me remember that customizing can be completely form scratch. Nice work.
Bug

That's insane

JonCC-1004:
Thanks a lot Jon
110clones:
Thank you very much mate
bly272:
Bly thanks a lot
Irish Ninja 97:
thanks
TheCloneCommander:
Thanks a lot Trev. I entered the contest but I don't think that this scrap heap is good enough.
clonemedic96:
Thanks clonemedic. I don't think that I will make the junk titan. It is too big.
lambonspit:
thanks buddy
Clonehead:
Thanks Clint. I put it to the contest entries.
Spudafett:
Thanks a lot spud. There are some things I don't like on my custom. First the head scult could be better and the droid has no articulation. I hope I can fix the problems when I can find some time. btw your super arti IG-88 contest entry is awesome.
LukeSprywalker:
Thanks Luke. Yeah it is really a weird custom.
BugSkirt:
Thanks a lot Bug. It was a lot of fun to made this thing. I used everything I found in my "junk" box. I think I will try another one when I have some time.
Mandalore the skepsis:
thanks
-

I was thinking about that.... as small a frame as the animated IG-86 assassin droid is you could have used it as the base for adding all the extra parts to. You could add all the extra greeblies to each individual segment of the droid, then swap the head out with one of the BAD heads and you could potentially make a fully super arty version of the junk droid.
However, your scratch built one is pretty awesome. As a static piece it realy captures the look perfectly, and in all honesty most customs are meant to be static display pieces, so it shouldn't matter! I just try to work in articulation because it makes it more of a challenge to me.
-
I have a little sick girl at home and am behind on my threads. I missed this one, it looks great Fiala. Wow, from scratch.
-
that is one ass kicking custom of a pile of junk ;)
great work!
-
Spudafett:
Great ideas spud, thanks a lot mate. I think I will try a new one next month if I can find some useful BAD parts.
Tamer:
Hey no problem mate. Sorry to hear that your daughter is sick. I hope, it's nothing serious.
NFC:
thanks a lot

Imperial Jet-Trooper
I found this image a few weeks ago and thought this could be a nice custom. I think this Trooper is from a game but I don't know from which one. Anyway here is the result:
-
...
-
thats pretty much amazing. I love it. I can spot the additions, most of them anyway, but they are done REALY well. I would definately buy this if I saw it hanging on the shelf.
It isn't the jump trooper from TFU is it?
-
those are awesome mate great to see tfu customs great wwrk very fond of your wrk just awe inspiring
-
FF thats bloomin' SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
-
That is minty mate! Jay how could you resist? Seriously great job matching up the extra parts and painting to match.
-
FF, I think Wraith9 missed out a few E's...What he should have said was...
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! x 10 to the power of 5.2 million...
People seem to have forgotten that Star Wars existed, it's Clone this Clone that (no offence meant guys) it's about time we saw some proper Imperial Troops around here, after all this is theImperial Shipyards and I am an Old School Star Wars fan...Class of 77!
This guy looks as though he's New Empire, possibly one of the break away factions from the X wing novel era...
Lurve it!!!
-
wow dat is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
-
Very Very nice, I don't say this often but I would buy that figure , looks great, hit the design right on the mark, Perfect.
-
FF you never cease to amaze me mate!! this new custom is Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!! your ability to find or craft what you need to forefill your custom is nothing short of amazing!! attention to detail should be your shipyards name...
and i concur with the rest of the guys here
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
-
Thats an awsome figure brother love the new additions and colors 10/10!!!
-
thats pretty much amazing. I love it. I can spot the additions, most of them anyway, but they are done REALY well. I would definately buy this if I saw it hanging on the shelf.
It isn't the jump trooper from TFU is it?
Thanks a lot Spud, great that you like it mate.
Yeah I used many differnt figures for this custom (legs from a clone trooper, shoulder plating from Ripcord, arm parts from Jango Fett and also the Jetpack from Jango and some scratch build parts).
btw it is not the Jump Trooper from TFU game. Maybe it is a concept or a early version of it. The name of the image that I found on google is Jet-Trooper. I try to find some information about this trooper (wookiepedia, jedipedia, etc.).
-
thanks for all your sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet comments guys
darth neo:
thanks a lot but I don't think that this trooper is in the TFU game
wraith9:
Thank you very much Jay, holy that is a long sweet mate.
LukeSprywalker:
thank you Luke, I'm glad that you like it buddy
hangarbay94:
Jules thanks a lot for your comment buddy (now this is a very long sweet ;D). I also hope that we'll see some more Stormie customs here on the Yards but Stormtroopers a bit harder to customize because there are not so many variants of them, only the TFU game and some comics shows some other Stormtrooper variants.
110clones:
thanks a lot
Reconsgt:
Thank you sarge.
TheCloneCommander:
wow Trev the next long sweet. Thanks a lot buddy
kreeper2:
Thanks a lot kreeper, great that you like it.

-
Fiala, that is truly magnificent work, buddy! You captured the look perfectly.

Squirepec7:

-
Clonehead:
Thanks Clint. One problem. I have now a Clone Trooper without legs, any ideas?
Make a hover chair FF and add Some Heavy Fire power to it....
or a walker chair.... I did that for my "mechanic" way back when I did the speeder bike diorama.... of course a storm trooper would probably get cybernetic enhancements, like replacement limbs instead of a chair... unless he was a wounded defectee, then he might use a cheap chair or something... which is actually a decent story arc.
clone trooper wounded in battle, loses his legs and is left for dead on the battlefield by his own comrades, until a local picks him up and nurses him back to health... he keeps his armor and builds a hover chair bristling with wepons to protect his new home...
-
Looks pretty daggone sweet to me. On the front page.
-
thanks a lot guys
clonemedic, thanks for your comment mate
Spud and Trev thanks for your ideas. They sound very interesting and I will think about that
and
Shawn, thanks a lot for putting it on the fp

Great job as always Fiala! This one looks like something that i would love to pick up for my collection! I might give it a try to make one myself! Great work! =) He looks really cool with the imperial logo behind him.
-
Fiala, that is a slick new custom you did there! Where did you get those shoulder pads, or were they sculpted?
-
nice to see the og troopers customised great job
-
Fiala strikes again.
Your customs are always great inspiration for me. I like your ingenuity and authentic-looking paint apps.
-
FialaFernbrugg you never cease to amaze me. truly awesome customs mate. you should be contracted for design by hasbro. Bloody amazing. Why cant they make figures like your superb figures. O my Gawd. Amazing

-
thanks a lot for all the kind words gentlemen

Clone Medic
First of all I want to say thanks again to Spud and Trev for the great ideas (Clone Trooper with no legs) but I think I'm not good enough to realize your ideas. I decided to make a clone medic with the legless trooper.
Here is the result.
back story:
Here is Clone Trooper Sani CT-25-1784 (Sani comes from Sanitäter, the german word for medic). Unit 25-1784 was created on the water planet Kamino, like most of his other clone brothers. He served in the 327th Star Corps at the beginning of the Clone Wars. The 327th was sent to Geonosis to fight the seperatist forces there. Sani lost his right leg in this cruel battle. With only one leg he was no longer able to fight in the frontlines of the republic clone army. He was moved to the 5th medical brigade where he served until order 66. His fate after order 66 is unknown.

Fiala, I am so impressed, the artifical leg is an awesome touch and the subtle paintwork and weathering is perfect. I love the guy with the sling as well, they both make a terrific set.

The wounded trooper is cool and very well done, but that Medic ROCKS! I love the HK droid foot you used and am thrilled with the way you painted it. Great job fiala you are knocking these out fast too. You sir are a customs machine!
-
these guys are awesome! bonus points for the medic!
-
It looks great Fiala! when i saw this figure i thought of Corr from the republic commando novels, instead he got 2 robot arms. Have to say that i like the robot leg on this clone. Great work as always.
And you have to show what type of material you used on your custom base (the long grass)
Cheers ;)

Wow, how are you doing those small rectangles! Awesome.
-
Many thanks for your great comments guys
Jay: I started with an brown ink wash.
I used Revell enamel colours. The orange is a mix of 80% yellow and 20% light orange. The colour for the visor and the belt is a mix of 70% auburn and 30% black and the camo is painted with auburn.
Trev: It is my secound CW custom. The first one was the Clone Assassin in CW style
Shawn: With a very fine brush ( like the brush from Jay with only one hair) and a lot of patience ;)
-
thanks FF ...ahhhh the usefulness of the "mini brush"

Trev: No problem mate. Sometimes I also forgot what figs I have in my collection.

Geonosis ARF-Trooper (finished)
Advanced Recon Force Troopers, also known as Advanced Recon Fighters, or simply ARF Troopers, were specialized clone troopers that carried out short-range reconnaissance for Jedi Generals and clone commanders.
I painted the custom with revell paints and I made the weathering with the technics drybrushing and ink washing.
The background is from the IFT-X fighter tank vehicle.
I hope you like it gentlemen.
-
...
-
Fiala that is superb! :D It looks really good. I love the picture with an arf trooper before and then your custom. The camo looks great infront of the Geonosian background
-
FF - the detail on that ARF is incredible. The amount of time that went into that is obvious, and is a tribute to your work. Very nicely done. cd
-
great wrk ff looks superb
-
that arf trooper is awesome men really awesome! ;D
-
Spectacular, one the fp Christoph. How are your eyes after all the small detail work?
-
Great post Christoph! I wonder if Jay will tackle this one.
I really love how you've applied the camo, looks like the digi-camo leapt off the screen & onto your figure, great work!
-
really cool mate. really really Cool.
Ta se go hiontach !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( irish for wonderful)
-
GRRRRRREEEEEAAAAAATTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!
-
Great job! I was thinking about making one of these, looks like you beat me to him! :) bbfet
-
Awesome work Fiala! I like the digital/more geometrical style of the camo and that will set yours apart from other versions I have seen. Another great one to add to the ranks!
-
now THAT is the dogs nads mate!
-
FF that is bloody brilliant!! well done mate! will we have the pleasure of meeting his other squad member?
-
that is a sick ARF! you dont do CW customs that often but when you do they are GREAT!
-
Many thanks for your great comments guys
Shawn: With a very fine brush ( like the brush from Jay with only one hair) and a lot of patience ;)
FialaFernbrugg,
First off great customs. LOVE the custom rectangles and the super slow painting you did. Was well worth the wait.
But I have a few questions if it is cool with you?
#1. Can you show me one of these Micro brush's with only one hair? Possibly a link to where they are sold. I need a few or 10 of them...
#2. Alot of people mention I hope Jay makes this figure in a tutorial is that Wraithnine from youtube? I am asking cause I dont know if his name is Jay. You mentioned him involving the brush up above and I was wondering who he is so when I see an ask Jay about the brush/colors etc.. I know who to ask. ;D
Great job Mate. Please keep em coming.
Darth Creatine (Jon)

Jedihunter226:

Luke Sprywalker:
Thanks a lot Luke, I think I will also try to make the grey version of the ARF from the CW movie with that camo style.
wraithnine:
haha thank you very much Jay
TheCloneCommander:
Thank you Trev. If I can find another ARF I will try to make a secound one.
clonemedic96:
Thanks cm96, to be honest I'm not the biggest CW fan.
Darth Creatine:
First of all thank you very much for your comment DC, I'm glad that you like it mate.
#1. The micro brush is self-made. I don't know if you can buy that kind of brush in stores.
#2. Yeah Jay (wraithnine) made this figure in a tutorial together with Steve (Sithlord229). His name on YouTube is rasputin37.
-
Fiala,
Self made brush hmm....Inquiring minds want to know.
I think I might have ALOT of brush's that could work. Now if only I could find a picture of the brush so I can see what it looks like to make it. Hmm!!!!
Darth Creatine
-
awesome custom :o :o
-
FF nice custom i was planning on to do that same idea of yours ;D
-
...
One of the best clone customs Ever O0
-
I really do think that Hasbro will be hard pressed to make one this good. Lets face it Christoph's paint apps on this one are just fantastic.
-
Outstanding arf trooper, Fiala! I had started on one of these months ago and still it sits waiting. I take my hat off to you, sir.
-
thank you so much for your kind words gentlemen
Darth Creatine:
I will try to upload some pics of that one-hair brush, but it is really nothing too speacial
Darth Abshir:
Can't wait to see it mate
commanderCharlie:
Thank you very much Charlie, I'm glad that you like it
Tamer:
Thanks Shawn. Oh it would be very nice to see Waxer and Boil as ARF troopers from Hasbro.
Clonehead:
Thanks you very much Clint. I'm sure yours will be a lot better than mine. You are the camo master.

Walon Vau
Walon Vau was one of the Mandalorian mercenaries recruited by Jango Fett to train the Clone Army. He belonged to the group known as the Cuy'val Dar. The armor he wore was colored black.
Like Kal Skirata, he believed that the clones he trained should be brought up to be Mandalorian warriors. However, he took a different approach. Instead of treating the clones like sons, he taught the Mando way through discipline, and often violence. To teach his clones to be tough, he would often pit one against the other, for melee or even live-fire exercises. He gave them a choice: fight each other or fight him.
Vau trained the commandos in Delta Squad, and gave RC-1262 his nickname ("Scorch") after an ordnance accident that left them both without eyebrows for a time.
(Wookoiepedia)
I used for the custom a Geonosis arena bp Jango Fett figure. It is a bit hard to find pics of this character and his paintwork.
I hope you like the custom guys. A base for the Delta Squad and Vau should follow next weekend (if I can find some time).
-
...
-
Nice work! I like how you switched from "gray on black" on his torso to "black on gray" on his legs. The armor plates have a nice dull, almost powdery, look to them in contrast to the more shiny look of the arming vest underneath. The scratches are a well-done touch, as well. That's an easy aspect of armor weathering to get wrong and I'm not sure I could pull it off this well. What head did you use for him?
-
Nice mando!!!
-
That is pretty nice. Excellent use of colors.
-
cool mandos!
-
Dude! Walon Vau is awesome! one of the best renditions ive ever seen!
-
Fantastic Walon Vau! I like all the Mandos I've been seeing around ISY lately!
-
its mando city round here at the mo! excellent custom!
-
I personally really like the Walon Vau. Kal Skirata, Walon Vau and Jango were the men behind the Clones and alot of folks dont know about it and those who do continue to make Clones and mention the 3 above but hardly anyone makes them and refers to the Clones.
Nice job on Walon Vau Mate it is a welcome change to the scenery. Like Wraithnine said it is Mando heaven around here lately but we all know that the Clones will ride again like always.
Great job mate keep em coming. Besides all the good comments and feedback you give me on EVERY single Custom I make I decided hell I should return the favor. But this Custom you made of Walon Vau is no sympathy words from me it really is that damn good!!!!!!!! **Period point blank**
Darth Creatine
-
thanks a lot for all your comments guys

Great job Fiala.

Great job FF i am certainly loving all this RC/IC kudos going on around here lately

-
Squirepec7:
Thank you very much mate
TheCloneCommander:
Thanks a lot Trev. I think I will also make a Kal custom when I get my Omega Squad.
darth neo:
Thanks dn. I would like to make some other Mando customs if I can find some Jango or Boba figures.
-
FF,
Your version of Vau is very good and probably my favorite. Terrific work!
-
Great work Christoph! :) I have been looking for your customs but didn't find them.. Anyway I think it turned out very good! Its more accurate than mine to the books and it looks awesome! I thought of making mine as this one but i didn't, now that i see yours i might have to make another one like this one! He looks cool in front of the Delta boys! Glad to see that you found them also! Looking forward to see your custom base for these figures! :D
-
BugSkirt:
Thx a lot BS, I'm glad that you like my version of Vau
Jedihunter226:
Thank you very much Marcus. I wish I had read the books but can't find them. I hope I can make the base this weekend.
-
Fiala, very nice! I also really like how you inverted the colours when you moved from the torso to the legs!!!
-
Delta Squad custom base
Now here is the finished Walon Vau custom with the Deltas and a custom base that I finished today. Some wip of the base are in my diorma section.

SpecOps Stormtrooper
SpecOps Stormies operate behind enemy lines to gather information about the enemies of the Galactic Empire or to eliminate VIPs.
They wear a speacial armor, so it is very difficult to detect them. They also wear a additional chest plating for a better protection in combat.
weapons: DC-17, T-23 spec blaster rifle
equipment: additional chest plating, night sensing equipment, high efficiency radio equipment
speicies: humans (only)
Basic figure was a TLC Spacetrooper. The night sensing equipment and the additional chest plating is self-made.
I used sheet metal and cardboard for the chest palting and LEGO parts for the night sensing equipment. I also used some parts from a broken data set on the figure.
I hope you like it gentlemen:

REIGN OF TERROR
The dark era has began. The senate doesn’t exist anymore. Emperor Palpatine and the imperial army control the former republic with fear and terror. But there is a new hope growing. A small group of rebels make a stand against the empire.
My little dio shows a street fighting scene a few days after the annulment of the galactic senate on Coruscant near the Imperial Palace.
The imperial security forces use teargas and batons against the rebels. The rebels on the other hand use incendiary compositions against the imperial troopers.
Some information about the custom:
The imperial security force trooper is basically a scout trooper. I gave him a half-kama, a baton, a self-made shield and some other accessories.
The protester is made of the body of a Rum Sleg figure and the head of a Luke Skywalker figure. I used some cloth and paper on him.
The dio (-base) is made of wood. The ground is from a company called “Faller”. The posters on the wall are from google and the smoke from the teargas grenade is just cotton.
I hope you like it gentlemen:

-
Fiala, this is a masterpiece! The customs alone are very cool, I love what you did with the scout. The mods are great and the paint work is awesome. The rebel is sweet as well. Nice repaint and the scarf and arm band put him over the top. Now we have this killer little dio, reminds me of the sets Ron Hembling does. If you don't know that is about the biggest compliment I could pay you. Great work my friend, this is killer!

205th antitank batallion trooper
This is Clone trooper Olun from the 205th. He fires a AT-AGM (all terrain-antitank guided missile). The AXM-74 rockets are effective against every heavy battle droid from the CIS like spider droids, AATs, NR-N99, Octuptarra droids etc.
I hope you like it:

First of all thanks a lot for the comment Trev. "Disappoint" are your serious? Man all I can say is that the camo on your Gunship is one of the best paintwork I've ever seen. I wish i had your skills my friend.
Irish Ninja 97:
Thanks a lot or "go raibh maith agat" (I hope that was correct)
Jedi Minstrel:
You are right I used a Joe weapon. I think it was the rocket launcher which comes with the Snake Eys figure but I'm not sure.
Clonehead:
Clint I'm glad that you like the little dio mate. It was a lot of work and I'm just happy that you guys are pleased with the result.
-
Dammit cant believe im bearly getting around to this thats an awsome little dio brother congrats!!
-
I can't exactly put into words how sick your customs are. Terminally ill, vomit inducing sick I guess comes sorta close. Since page 1, you've captured my attention with all of your inferno style troopers, then you kicked it up several notches on page 14 with Sgt. Orbs, with one of the coolest dio bases known to man ( Those trees are brilliant), and again on page 22 with the amazing Scrap Guardian, and yet again on page 25 with the clone medic, and AGAIN on page 31 with the Special Ops trooper, and everything in between........ But this latest effort by you has floored me...The rocket firing dio is not only imaginative beyond imagination, but only goes to show you have no visible signs of slowing up when it come to creativity.
Thanks so much to the Gods for you finding this site, and posting your amazing gift for customs. Seriously, dont EVER stop.
Barry

wow thank you very much dn, thanks a lot for your comment
a banner and Avatar from Jules would be very nice but not with "the greatest custom maker" on it because there are so many people here on the Yards with a lot better customs.
and btw it's not important what custom looks better the most important thing is that we all have fun with our favorite hobby
but thanks for the comment mate, it's always great to get a nice feedback
-
Just for the record, I cry more than Darth Neo when I see your customs :'(

Both banners are awesome my friend. It's great that you used the Austrian Air Force emblem and gold is from now on my favorite colour ;)
thanks a million mate. It's hard for me to choose one of them but I think the banner with the border looks bit better.
Now I need the help of Shawn to upload that beauty.
thanks a lot Jules and I hope you like the little emblem that I made for your great Combat Engineer squad
-
Fiala, I really enjoy making these banners for people, and I find it a privilege that people actually ask me to make them...
Here is your Avtar to match the banner...I'm really pleased that you like them, they do stand out from my usual designs, as do your customs stand out from the crowd.

I was busy this weekend (two custom bases and we had a hornets' nest in the garden).
But I found some time to make a fast custom. First of all the idea isn't from me. Jay made this about one year ago.
It's a trooper for the 327th Delta company led by commander Deviss. I hope I can also pick up a secound commander Drax for a custom.
Thanks a lot for this great custom idea mate.
Here is Jay's video:

The completed trooper:

Clone Assassin Commander Leto
Leto was the commander of the 1st Assassin company. He wasn't trained by a Cuy'val Dar. Palpatine himself trained him for only one purpose, to kill Jedi.
Leto and his Assassins supported the 501st legion during order 66.
After the creation of the Galactic Empire, Leto was absorbed into the ranks of the Stormcommandos.
A big thanks goes to Jules for his awesome hangar background.

18th mountain infantry regiment
Mountain warfare refers to warfare in the mountains or similarly rough terrain. Mountain warfare is one of the most dangerous types of combat as it involves surviving not only combat with the enemy but also the extreme weather and dangerous terrain.
The commander of the 18th mir is senior commander CC-1987 "Falco".
The other trooper is an old custom that I made last year. His name is" Arx" which is latin for mountain.
Special thanks go to Jay(wraithnine) for the awesome Warhammer decals and LE (Luke Sprywalker) for the idea "Bacara helmet with micro binoculars".

I think you enjoy making hasbro look bad. Your customs are inspiring yet again. ( not that they never werent am just not to good typing stuff) Amazing mate and as always loving the ensigns and stands.

I don't know how you've managed to track down the grave of the fabled Midas, and dug this poor man up with the sole purpose of having him touch your figures, but you should be ashamed of yourself. Let the man rest. It's just the right thing to do.
Saying that your work is phenomenal would be like spitting in your face, as that term doesn't begin to describe the level at which you create.
Unbelievably good stuff.
-
great emblems fiala!
-
Man sensational work the figures and dios are awesome and you still make brillant emblems, keep up the great work.
Ron
-
Gentlemen, let's climb on the mountains of Austria for memorial of our best customer from Austria FialaFernbrugg!! These clones simply look awesome!

344th Artillery Division
Hi all
Here is a new dio that I completed today.
Dekka (Commander Faie custom) is of course from the master himself, Jay. He sent me this figure for some stands that I made for him. Dekka is a phenomenal custom figure and I’m very happy to have him in my Clone collection. Thanks again for this oustanding figure mate.
Here you have the official topic for Dekka: http://www.imperialshipyards.net/SMF/index.php?topic=768.msg63699;topicseen#msg63699
The other figure was a Commander Deviss from TLC. The weapons are all rebuilt clone and droid weapons.
So here you have:
CT-2297 lieutenant "Dekka" and CT-1164 "Hama" with a AT-LIM90 (all terrain light infantry mortar) from the 344th Artillery Division"The Groundpounders", "Spearhead Company"
I hope you like it:

What an amazing piece of work! The clones look like large scale figures. Have you used Gundam pens to create the stripes? if not I'd love to see a tutorial or video of you painting a helmet. The detailing and precision of paint application is Swiss watch perfect....
I found myself staring at these for some time. You have some superb skills.
Jules

That is a beautiful dio, Christoph, and it really makes these already outstanding figures shine in whatever heavenly display area that you have set up at your home. Great Collaboration to you both.

clone trooper sergeant "Boomer"
CS-2207, nicknamed "Boomer," was a clone trooper sergeant who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.
Sergeant Boomer was a tough veteran soldier with a tendency to wisecracks. After having fought alongside Rex countless times, Boomer became one of Rex's most trusted soldiers and good friend. (wookieepedia)

Kal Skirata
Kal Skirata, born Falin Mattran—sometimes called Kal'buir (Mando'a for "Papa Kal") by the clone commandos that he trained— was a Mandalorian instructor for clone commandos in the Grand Army of the Republic. After being orphaned, he was adopted by Munin Skirata. As Skirata grew up, he became the husband of Ilippi Skirata, the biological father of Tor, Ijaat, and Ruusaan Skirata. He would also become the adopted buir of Omega Squad and the Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos. Through RC-1136 of Omega Squad, and Jedi Knight Etain Tur-Mukan, he was the adopted grandfather of Venku Skirata later renamed Kad Skirata.

its an incredible custom man!
-
Dang brother thats a truly awsome custom amazing!!
-
Thank you gentlemen appreciate all the comments
commanderCharlie:
I used the head from the new A-Team Hannibal (Liam Neeson) figure for my Kal custom and the head from an AT-AT commander for my Walon custom figure. Not the best choice I know but it was the best that I could find in my area.
Tamer:
Me too mate. Multipacks with super articulated Delta Squad&Walon Vau and super articulated Omega Squad&Kal Skirata would be great or some other characters from the novels like Etain, Jusik, Corr etc.
I think there is a good chance to see some new RC figures in the near future 'cause Hasbro used the new sa RC body only for the evolution pack Fi Skirata figure till now.
-
Very, very nice figures, Christoph!
If you need some Fi figures, I've got four to spare...
-
Very cool. Republic Commando are some of my favorite SW books. Great job.
-
Chritoph, Kal looks awesome. Paint work is perfect and the weathering is just the same. Nice head choice as it gives him the older look. To be sure his hair could have fallen down a bit just like the Hanibal head. Top shelf custom for sure!
-
i really lovee 'em all

christoph your figure and stand are bloody fantastic! absolutly stunning mate i'm glad those decals came in handy .
-
sweet custom FF
-
I must say that this is the type of trooper I expected to be driving that at-sts and at-ats on Endor, not the drivers they are showing. And even though they didn't show the Walker drivers on Endor, I do believe this would have been the type of at-at driver they would have pictured.
Christoph, needless to say I am quite enamored of this figure. I really don't see anything I would have changed. From the skull transfer to the yellow triangle on the breather to the weathering to the camo body I think it is simply seamless in application. It is truly one of your finest works yet. Ofcourse there are some folks who tell me I am crazy when it comes to these guys, but I know my at-at drivers.
-
Christoph, that is one amazing design you came up with. I love this figure! It looks even better on your stand. Nice idea adding the photo backdrop.
-
although i didnt vote on this it was in my second place for all the customs on there by far
-
fiala, its an amazing custom, the paint job and the stand re really cool!
-
Christoph, I do love this figure and that stand is a great piece. I too love the integrated photo backdrop.
Well done, sir and, Congrats once again. On the front page.
-
very cool custom..
-
FF,
The ATAT driver is absolutely spot on...The camo and weathering is perfect.
-
Congrats on winning the contest! You did an outstanding job on that figure.

thank you very much gentlemen

thanks a lot guys

Sandtrooper (squad leader)
The custom is nothing to get excited about but I've missed a sandtrooper squad leader for a couple of times. I found the new super articluated sandtrooper on Vintage card on my TRU patrol last weekend and I thought the time has come for a custom.
I used Revell sandy yellow mat (32116) for the wathering and Revell orange (32130) for the shoulder pauldron repaint.
The other Sandtroopers are all the evolution pack version which is my favorite version so far.

Great sandtroopers man, they look really really nice!!
-
i have a few sandtroopers , and by god what have you done with it !
its fantastic!!
-
That is the best sand weathering ever!!!
Great job!!!
It looks so real!!!
great job!!!
Rich
-
Fantastic weathering, When i do this it never looks natural ...
I have not seen these at the local TRU yet....may have to go check tomorrow.
-
Sweet sandtroopers, Christoph!
-
Christoph, they look brilliant. I really like that color for weathering, it looks spot on!
-
great job on the weathering. I agree with you that sandtroopers shouldn't be shiney and new, they should look used and wore out. I plan on weathering my vintage trooper and dewback rider (both the same exact figs btw) and making a more realistic set of sandtroopers.
-
Good weathering job FF!
-
Christoph the Sandtroopers look great! Your weathering is perfect! Great looking squad man! Well done.
-
Fiala....oh Fiala! Seriously you are turning out some seriously, seriously awesome customs, this set of sandtroopers are just superb. The weathering is absolutely spot on and you've got the colouration and application down to a fine art.
Love them!
-
thank you so much for all your great comments gentlemen but plz note that only the squad leader is a custom. All the other figures are from the "Clone to Stormtrooper" evolution pack and they have already a perfect weathering.
spudafett: You are right spud. A shiny Sandtrooper, that is a paradox in my opinion. I'm looking forward to see your set of custom Sandtroopers.
and
Jules: a compliment from the weathering master, that means a lot to me
-
very cool nice job
-
I've a new video for you gentlemen
I hope you like it:

Christoph that is a great video! The figures are great the dio is awesome but what I really like is thw patch and extra ornamentation on either side of the name plate. Well done my friend!

Great work! I love the weathering work that others are so great at!

super cool customs here :o :o
just WOW - I absolutily LOVE your "Gebirgsjäger" Trooper or the flamethrower guy, the one with the "dog" and.... ah, so much more ;)
you do fantastic things, my friend. So if you ever want to see some of them in artworks ... ;)
and thanks for your kind words on my version of L.E.s Hunter, very uplifting - pushing me to work even harder!
-
wow :o
that is a very nice offer Art, thanks a lot
a ArtdeWhill image with a Clone Assassin or a Firestormtrooper would be awesome
-
Well you guys know me. I had to have an Endor AT-AT Driver after seeing his. He kindly agreed to make me one, but when I got my driver take a look at what he sent me. Needless to say I am at a loss to describe how great these are and how much I appreciate this. I just stared at the custom cardback for about a half hour. Folks hasbro couldn't have done as nice as job as this. There are absolutely no flaws and the paintwork on these is pristine. Thanks Christoph. Ok, look at the photos. And no, I will never part with these.

I hear you. I guess my bday is tomorrow so it could have been that, but wow what a great box to open. I haven't been this pleased since I heard they were super sizing the walker. I will have to look, but yes there was a bad part in there. It was amazing to see all the artwork that went on with the cardback too. From the front endor driver image to the back with the great pose and the ROTJ scene with the Walker. I will tell you it looks printed, I couldn't see how he modded it!
Woow man this is amazing, lucky you!
Yepper, I feel like going to play the lottery. I still have a big ole smile on my face. I put both of them on display in my SW cabinet / den area so no little hands can get on em! My little girl told her momma that she didnt' get nice toys like this for her bday! I really had a good laugh on that one.
-
I'm floored......better than anything hasbro would have done, Very amazing skill.
-
You mean that custom card isn't printed????? Oh Tamer, I am jealous of you and happy for you at the same time. Fiala, I do applaud you on this one even more loudly than usual, as I do like custom cards and this one is shining. The dio looks great as usual as do the figures. Don't plan on Tamer ever forgetting this one. Happy Birthday, Tamer!
-
Damn impressive you gotta be stoked with that mate congrats.
Ron

I had to take another peek at em before I went to work this morning. I noticed that the blaster in no longer the regular one. My picture is a bit blurry, but see if you can spot the mods to this one. Fantastic!

You lucky lucky dog thats an amazing set of customs sir fiala is the man !!!
-
thank you very much gentlemen
I must say the card was one of the most complex customs I made until now but it it was alot of fun to make.
CloneSniper78:
It is a BAD part in there but it is the standard HK-50 body part so nothing speacial.
Tamer:
I'm very happy that you like the figures and the dio. It's great to see them in your awesome collection.
Too bad that the weapon is dropped, I wish I had used an elastic band.

I just need to put his arm up more as I put it down to try and take a decent picture. I wanted to get a picture of the whole blaster pistol with rifle stock. Very ingenious Christoph.

Danger!! Mines!!
A land mine is usually a weight-triggered explosive device which is intended to damage its target via blast and/or fragments.
Minefields are considered a defensive or harassing weapon, used to slow the enemy down, to help deny certain terrain to the enemy, to focus enemy movement into kill zones, or to reduce morale by randomly attacking material and personnel.
Since combat engineers with mine-clearing equipment can clear a path through a minefield relatively quickly, mines are usually considered effective only if covered by fire.
As of August 2009, the Landmine Monitor identified at least 70 countries that were considered to be mine-affected. As of 2005, more than 200,000 square kilometers were suspected to be contaminated by landmines.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FIALA!!!

Merry Christmas to you. I see you're using both Imperials and Rebels in this scene. Very nice. I remember hearing stories about soldiers on both sides of a war, putting down weapons and toasting or even sharing a meal at this time of year. What an inspiration you have put together. Perhaps 2011 will see more peace.

24th anti-spacecraft regiment
A surface-to-air missile (SAM) or ground-to-air missile (GTAM) is a missile designed to be launched from the ground to destroy aircraft. It is one type of anti-aircraft (or anti-spacecraft for Star Wars) system; in modern armed forces missiles have replaced most other forms of dedicated anti-aircraft weaponry, with the anti-aircraft cannon pushed into niche roles.
I myself was in an austrian air defence regiment during my military service as an observer for an Oerlikon 35 mm anti-aircraft cannon.

It looks like he just fired the missle!
I will get this on the fp soon too.

Here are the types of cannons I directed (I was FDC) while I was in the Army.
They were going to be replaced with these though

nice little base and cool emblem,
top notch work, Christoph, 15 out of 10 :)
-
wow that is great!!
-
Amazing work as always. To be entirely honest when I first glanced at the FP photo I thought it was someone in costume shooting a real launcher, that's how great this looks. Of course the background blends almost seamlessly with your base and that adds so much realism to the figures photos.
The blast effect is amazing, I love it. Did you use hot glue to form the missile's exhaust or something else?
the entire figure is done expertly, I'm always impressed with your work.
-
Dude really !?!?!? What more is there to say your the master (or in here one of the best))
-
WOW!!!
Holy Cow!!! I have never seen anything like this before!!!

Special Ops trooper (animated version)
It's been a while since I've made a custom figure.
Here is the animated version of one of my favorite Clones. The figure is a modified Rex with new paint job, new antennas and a new head. I gave him a modified DC-15s. The helmet is modified with a micro binoculars from a Commander Deviss figure.
The additional armor pieces are taken from a Mace Windu figure.
paints: blood red, gray, silver and black
I hope you like the CW SpecOps trooper.

clone trooper lieutenant (pilot) "Hawk"
"Hawk" was the call sign of a clone trooper lieutenant and pilot who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. An expert pilot, the trooper was named for his eyes that had the precision of a hawk bird. He saw action on many worlds during the war, including on Christophsis.
[wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hawk_%28clone_trooper%29]
Not really a spectacular custom figure but I guess the chance is quite low to see a Hasbro "Hawk" in the near future. That's why I decided to make one for my CW collection. The figure itself is a modified Odd Ball.
modifications:
*elbow armor is now in the correct place
*chin hole for the old helmet design
*weathering
*and of course Hawk's markings
I hope you like it:

Wow! Hawk looks great, he seems to have walked right off the CW encyclopedia page.
-
i like clone pilots and this is a stunner!
-
Weathering figs often gets overlooked, but this is an example of what quality details add to a figure.
(And the paint details on his helmet aren't at all shabby either!)
This guy looks great because you've made him look "real". Excellent work!
-
love him Christoph! i made Hawk a while ago and he is an overlooked figure ,your version is superb!
-
awesome hawk
-
Daggone Christoph. This looks like you walked him off the page!
My comments are on the front page.

I am finding animated clone wars figures to be more and more interesting and this pilot turned out great. Another stunning example of your work, Christoph!
-
Great job on that clone.

Very nice figure!
Your work is spot on, absolutely wonderful.
The weathering is perfect: not overdone, just about right!

Absolutely smashing custom work, as always! I really wish that Hasbro would check this site out sometimes and see the talented work being done here.
-
Awesome job the weathering is spot on :o
-
Hawk is an awesome pilot and you have done a superb job of bringing him to life. I say to life as he looks so real! The weathering is perfect as are the birds of prey.

Clone ordnance specialist (bomb squad trooper)
Clone ordnance specialists were specialized clone troopers in the Grand Army of the Republic, trained to disarm and dispose of bombs and explosive devices. This was the most dangerous job in the army and it required a gentle touch, steady nerves and a sense of how machines work from the troopers.

WOW, so very well done!! fantastic paint job!!

nice ff

Incredible! How did you do that bomb?
-
Very, very nice Christoph! They look perfect my friend. Yes, how did you make the bombs? They are spot on man!
-
That is awesome :o
-
Yes! Very well done - I like how the paint lines aren't 100% perfect...which they shouldn't. I'd like to think these guys apply the color to their own armor so it should appear to be worn, imperfect and scratched up a bit. The bomb accessory is a nice touch! great work!
-
Fiala you know i am a big fan, I really think your work is awesome, and this guy looks amazing my friend!!!
Great Work!!!
Damien.
-
FF, what a superb custom clone, you picked a hard colour scheme, the execution of which is absolutely superb! A stunning figure!
-
I'd love to have a few of these guys. Really cool!!
-
Very nice, on the front page.
I love those reference shots alongside the character encyclopedia. It really shows how true to the TCW image you are being Christoph.

Just awesome! Bomb squad giy is one of those I have been meaning to make a while now.

i had to look at the replys to figure out that this was a custom! OMG, YOU ARE AMAZING!!!

Ordnance specialists, also known as bomb squad stormtroopers, were specialized stormtroopers in the Imperial Army, trained in ordnance disarmament and disposal.
A group of bomb squad stormtroopers was stationed on Tatooine to support the Sandtroopers in Mos Eisley. This was the most dangerous job in the army and it required a gentle touch, steady nerves and a sense of how machines work from the troopers.

-
most excellent stuff, Christoph!!!
mind-blowing bomb expert trooper - love the outdoor shots - and again great excitement to see your sandtroopers.
your work rock!!
-
Wondeful paint and amazing weathering. The details like the dio-shot and the message on his pack just knock this one out of the park. Very well done.
-
Wow, I have never used a back shot for the pic for a front page news story, but it is so detailed I just had too.
Nice work Christoph.
-
This guy is awesome Christoph! So well done and your legendary attention to detail. Your special touches put this one over the top! Great diorama base you have made as well.

-
awesome Christoph my friend how did you make the bomb for your bomb squad trooper ?
-
Simply amazing work, Christoph! A great updated version of the popular bomb squad clone. That was a powerful scene in "the hurt locker" and the dio mimics it nicely.
-
The orange does this guy well; nice job on the apps. I love the comparison/tie-in to the Hurt Locker!
Nice touch on the Aurebesh on the gear pack; that is awesome!
-

Blue Shadow Virus bomb tutorial
(https://i.imgur.com/m8zZpxI.jpg)
the bomb is pretty simple to make:
step 1 (material): you need a steel ball, cotton bud, wire, super glue, wire cutter, scissors, cardboard, brush and paints (yellow, red and grey)
step 2: cut the cotton bud (2mm long) and the wire (3mm long) into four pieces.
step 3: glue the cotton bud pieces on the steel ball and after that the wire pieces into the cotton bud pieces
(https://i.imgur.com/LQ0extT.jpg)
step 4 (strut): the strut is made of cardboard
(https://i.imgur.com/1TpwB3C.jpg)
step 5 (paintjob): I used Revell enamel paints and a fine brush

Stormtrooper Commander Gree
in fictional Stormtrooper armour.
I know he died in Episode III but he is one of my favorite "movie commanders" and I always wanted to have a Stormtrooper Gree in my collection.
The figure is nothing special - just a repainted Vintage Stormtrooper with custom radio unit and pouch. I used Revell and Tamiya enamel colours.
This is my first custom figure since 2011. I hope you like it.

That's a great looking figure there.
-
Great concept there with Gree! Nice paint apps.
-
This is a really nice figure. The dirty camo turned out nicely. Pretty, pretty good for a three year hiatus... ;)
-
Awesome work Fiala, I can't believe it's been since 2011. Time sure does fly.
-
Wow, he might look better as a Stormtrooper Commander! I like it, off to share.
Has it really been since 2011? Wow, doesn't seem that long, but guess it is!
-
I have to say that I am blown away by your OT style Gree. This kicks every and all ass.
At one point, I planned on making something like this - this style of Stormtrooper squad using the Gree pallet for reference. I am way behind on doing that, but seeing this really gets me feeling like I need to get my tail in gear. I realize mine would not turn out nearly this well, but they would still be fun.... just not as fun as this.

I for one would love to see more color phased Imperial Troopers rather than the stark white norm.
-
wow
thanks a lot for the great feedback gentlemen.
Sorry for the bad photo quality. The sun was a bit too bright that day.
CHEWIE: I'm sure your Gree is going to be great. I can't wait to see your version of a Stromtrooper Gree.
Tamer: You are right. I would like to see more Stormtroopers with colour markings. I hope the new Rebel series will bring us some colourful Stormtroopers.
-
WIP Stormtrooper Commander Bacara
I decided to make a phase III version of Bacara after my fictinal phase III Commander Gree.
The helmet was pretty tricky. I had to separate the phase II helmet from the additional plating.
The figure will get a soft goods Kama.
Stormtrooper Commander Bacara should be finished soon.
-
Wow Christoph, I like this a lot. I also think what you have done is pretty much made an AT-DP Driver for REBELS sans those face plates.
Wish you would have these parts casted up before they all get put together. I can't even imagine the variations you could create with this. Fantastic. Off to share.
-
nice combination Christoph!

Interesting idea Shawn.
I'm not sure how a AT-DP Driver looks like but the picture I found on Google looks like a combination of McQuarrie concept Snowtrooper helmet, General Veers helmet (without snow goggles) and AT-AT Driver body (without harness).
This would be a nice custom but I have only one McQuarrie concept Snowtrooper and I don't want to destroy this rare figure.
-
You nailed the face plate to use for this in my opinion. It would be cool to see this go together.
-
Nice conversion on that bacura/stormie bucket.
-
Stormtrooper Commander Bacara
After Mundi ordered his troops to push against the Separatists, Bacara received Order 66 via an encrypted channel directly from Palpatine—Order 66 effectively labeled Ki-Adi-Mundi, along with the rest of the Jedi, as traitors and enemies of the Republic. Even though he had a grudging respect for Ki-Adi-Mundi and the other Jedi, Bacara's ultimate loyalty lay with Palpatine and the Republic, and he did not hesitate when given the order from his supreme commander. As the General led the Marines in a charge against the Separatists, Bacara and the surrounding troopers stopped, raised their rifles, and gunned down the bewildered Jedi in a hail of blaster fire. Bacara was later glad that he had killed the Jedi Master, as he considered the Jedi to have been traitors for trying to overthrow the government.

Stormtrooper Commander Bly
Commander of the 327th Imperial Star Corps.
Shortly after the death of Secura, the Republic became the Galactic Empire, following Palpatine's Declaration of a New Order. Bly continued to serve under Palpatine's new regime and was sent to Yutusk to control a protest rally. While on Yutusk, Bly and fellow trooper CT-6734, nicknamed "Galle," were contacted by Lord Darth Vader, Palpatine's second-in-command. Vader reminded Bly that he still had incomplete missions on his record, then offered the commander the chance to finally complete one of them.

-
Just browsed through you thread, FF. Apologies for not doing so before, but you've really developed your skills over time. Those Bacara, Gree and Bly Stormtroopers are exceptionally well done.
Interesting that you use enamel paints. I take it you prime the figures first?
-

Thank you Mr.Black.
No I don't prime the figures. The Revell enamel paints don't need a prime in my opinion.
I clean the figure with water and dishwashing liquid to remove dirt and fat before I start to paint.
I protect the figure with clear coat when the paintwork is finished.
-
Good job man!

Very interesting. How do you cope with the issues of using enamel paints on the softer vinyl plastics, like removable helmets and arms? As far as I know, enamels won't 'stick' to that type of plastic and remain tacky, as opposed to acrylics.
-
Cool Bly, I really like the Stormtrooper version.
-
I've really been enjoying your updates of these PT clone commanders to their OT stormtrooper counterparts. Interesting in that you use enamel paints; I would not have considered going with those, but your work with them is very good (as Gree, Bacara, and Bly have shown).
I concur with Mr. Black: your customizing skills are now complete. When I left these boards some time ago, you were but the learner; now you are the master! Va1
-
Christoph, are you ever envisioning trying one of these in the 6 inch scale, if the figures get a little easier to find? That would be cool.
-
Thanks for your comments gentlemen.
Shawn: Great idea my friend. A 6 inch version of the Stormtrooper Bly would be awesome. I will think about that as soon as the 6 inch figures are easier to find.
-
Man, that stormie Bly is great! I love the six inch idea. Cobbling up the visor would be fun.
-
Great idea, updating the clone commanders into Imperial troopers! Can't wait to see you do more!
-
I've been waiting so long for your return to custom figures and i gotta say you did amazing. Keep it up!
-
I can't wait to see if he makes more great Stormtrooper Commanders based Clone Trooper Commanders or ARCs.

Stormtrooper Commander Cody
Soon after Order 66, Palpatine's rise to power was completed with his ascension as Emperor of the first Galactic Empire. As a result of the Grand Army's reorganization into the Stormtrooper Corps, Commander Cody and the remaining clone troopers who survived the Clone Wars composed the first generation of Imperial stormtroopers. Ultimately, Cody remained in service to the New Order for years. In that time, he witnessed the rise in recruitment of birth-born Humans as enlisted troopers, which in turn led to the decline and marginalization of the original Jango Fett clones.
[wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/CC-2224]
Here is my Stormtrooper Commander Cody custom figure. He is my fourth Stormtrooper conversion after Gree, Bacara and Bly. Neyo will be the next to complete my conversion of all five "movie commanders" into Stormtroopers.

Stormtrooper Commander Neyo
While patrolling Saleucami's plains by twilight alongside General Allie and trooper CT-3423 on speeders, Neyo received a call through his comlink from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to execute Order 66, a Republic contingency directive that declared the Jedi Knights to be the Republic's enemies and mandated the destruction of the Jedi Order. Following the declaration of Order 66, the Republic was reorganized into the first Galactic Empire by Palpatine, who crowned himself Galactic Emperor. Neyo retained his rank of commander in the new Imperial Army, and later filed a report to Imperial Moff Marcellin Wessel and Emperor Palpatine on the circumstances of Allie's death.

The thighs and forearms are from a The Force Unleashed Imperial Jumptrooper. I used the helmet for the Stormtrooper Commander Cody custom.

Clone trooper AT-AT pilot
AT-AT Clone Wars origin and development
AT-ATs were first designed and assembled by Kuat Drive Yards during the Clone Wars. They were evolved from the AT-TE walkers first employed in the Battle of Geonosis, as well as the AT-PT.
[wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/All_Terrain_Armored_Transport/Legends]
Selected from hardened combat troopers, the Heavy Armor division of the Vehicle Command Crewers, also known as AT-AT pilots, were specialized soldiers that were trained to pilot the All Terrain Armored Transport or other heavy armors.

Love the clone at-at driver. Only criticism would be that I'd have added the shoulder pads, but I can understand not doing that since the clone pilots don't have them.
The colors are perfect though. I'd love to see a concept At-at or prequel version at-at to go with it.
Your little model looks to be about the same size as the concept series action fleet. Maybe you could re-paint one of them in clone wars era deco to go with the new driver?
-
Really nice job on the clone AT-AT driver. I like the fact that he looks "transitional." Brilliant work!
-
Nice paint job on that AT-AT Pilot

I really like a the soft goods straps you put between the holsters and the belt! The paintjob is superb, I am always stunned by your painting skills! Did you use a TBS Snowtrooper Commander for this custom?

Rex turned out really well, but that Rebel Spec Ops trooper is to die for. Amazing work!

Very nice update on Snowtrooper Rex a realistic version, way better than the cartoon version IMO

HALO CLONETROOPER
Inspired by the great concept art mady by jubjubjedi on deviantart: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Star-Wars-Clonetrooper-concept-43871253
HALO:
High-altitude military parachuting (or military free fall (MFF)) is a method of delivering military personnel, military equipment, and other military supplies from a transport aircraft at a high altitude via free-fall parachute insertion. Two techniques are used: HALO (high altitude – low opening) and HAHO (high altitude – high opening).
In the HALO technique, the parachutist opens his parachute at a low altitude after free-falling for a period of time, while in the HAHO technique, the parachutist opens his parachute at a high altitude just a few seconds after jumping from the aircraft.

I agree with Ron! I love all the different Clone Troopers found on DeviantArt...they put their immagination into graphics and you made it reality! This is another awesome awesome Clone Trooper with so much detail...I can't stop looking at it! It's always amazing how many custom parts you find to recreate your concept!

Sweet!

I ran out of time to comment yesterday morning as Toy Fair was dominating, but great figure and I did get it on the front pages. Great figure. As a former member of the 82nd I loved the theme of this one. Great work Christoph!
-
Not that the whole thing isn't awesome, but I especially love the carbine. I know what a pain it is, kitbashing weapons on that scale.

That HALO Clone is absolutely excellent! Fantastic execution on a great concept. Amazing paint job.

Airborne Clonetrooper
Inspired by the great concept art mady by jubjubjedi on deviantart: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Star-Wars-Clonetrooper-concept-43871253
Airborne forces are military units, usually light infantry, set up to be moved by aircraft and "dropped" into battle, typically by parachute. Thus, they can be placed behind enemy lines, and have the capability to deploy almost anywhere with little warning. The formations are limited only by the number and size of their aircraft, so given enough capacity a huge force can appear "out of nowhere" in minutes, an action referred to as vertical envelopment. My special thanks goes to my good friend Philipp (DarthMore) for the incredibly good resin cast phase II clonetrooper helmet.

Christoph,
over the years we've been talking a lot about the concept illustrations of Clone Troopers found on DeviantArt and I really enjoy how you turn them into Action Figures!
The paint job looks suberb! I didn't expect that this simple resin cast would look that great once it's painted!
Much respect for yet another premium custom Clone Trooper! I like it a lot!
By the way which Jetpack did you use?

That is just FANTASTIC! Awesome work FialaFernbrugg

CRIMSON STORMTROOPER
Specially trained Stormtroopers for operations in the extreme temperatures of volcanic areas.
Repaint of a standard super-articulated 33/4" Stormtrooper with Revell 330 fiery red, silk.
Weathering with some dark washes and Revell pigments.
The base is made of modelling clay and the lava is made of wood glue coloured with Revell 730 orange and some red washes.

Christoph,
what an excellent execution of the Crimson Stormtrooper! I've always been amazed by the concept of these specialists! Again, you nailed the shade of red! As far as I can see it's red metallic, isn't it?
One might say that Stormtroopers count to the "easier" figures to customize...
But just by looking at the pictures, one can tell that you put a LOT of effort into it (as always), especially talking about color and accuracy of the details! I mean look at the helmet alone or the hands! The armor looks fantastic! Also nice stand by the way!
Top notch as always! 10/10!
I also got something in the works you will like!
Best regards from Germany!

IMPERIAL SHOCK TROOPER
Imperial shock troopers were high-class stormtroopers pulled from the Stormtrooper Corps of the Galactic Empire. They served as elite frontline forces of the Empire, and also as bodyguards for Emperor Palpatine himself. They were the successors to the clone shock troopers who were part of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. [wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_shock_trooper]
The figure is a modified and repainted "5 points of articulation" Rogue One Stormtrooper. The detailing of the figure is really good but the missing articulation in the elbows is a real disappointment. I changed the position of the forearms with wire and putty.
I used Revell flame red silk-matt (330) = RAL 3000 for the repaint. For the weathering I used the Revell weathering set pigments.
My last custom figure for 2017. I would like to thank for your support and your comments this year.
I wish you all a Happy New Year.

Fantastic Shock trooper mate and great paint apps.
Ron
-
Superlative! I mean fabulous paint work! The wired arms look great too - much easier to hold a weapon.
-
I agree, great work on the arms and paint. Nice way to start the year. Off to share.
-
Such a great sight to start the new year with! I am glad you found this Stormtrooper! Many people consider this version the best Stormtrooper in 1/18 to day! I got it lose and also hope, Hasbro will retool this excellent figure to an SA version.
Talking about excellence: The work you have done onto this figure is simply amazing! I mean adding the wire to the joints so perfectly clean is difficult enough, but painting the Stormtrooper like this is just a composition of elite skill! I agree with the comments above! Another fantastic addition to your custom shelf! I am extremely impressed with this custom in particular because I also plan on repainting some resin Clone Trooper helmets for Shock Trooper customs...the lines above the visor are the detail that challenges me most - but seeing your custom gives me hope that it is possible - in theory if one has your incredible skill...but I'm not sure I can do that, too.
The stripes of the Clone Shock Troopers' helmet are also even thinner than the stripes on the Imperial armour...
Your Imperial Shock Trooper looks just great and again you gained my full respect for this awesome paint-job!
- Philipp
-
Wow, nice work, paint lines look pretty crisp. But man, I had no idea about the sculpt work on that trooper! I know Hasbro has always had a lot of trouble getting the sculpt on the ST helmets right and back in the day the BustUps helmet was highly sought after by collectors and customizers to replace the Hasbro ones. I need to get me a bunch of these, though!
-
Thank you gentlemen for all the great comments.

IMPERIAL COASTAL DEFENDER STORMTROOPER
Coastal defender stormtroopers, more commonly known as shoretroopers, were a specialized variant of the Galactic Empire's stormtroopers trained and equipped for combat in tropical environments. [wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Coastal_defender_stormtrooper]
Here is my modified and weathered "5 points of articulation", 3 3/4" Shoretrooper.
The figure has now bendable elbows and swivel wrists. I'm going to post a detailed tutorial of the added articulation in the near future.
The E22 blaster rifle is also modified. I added a strap and a flashlight to the weapon.
The weathering was made with different enamel washes and a pencil.
I hope you like it.

Your customs are a work of art! Both the Shoretrooper and the Stormtrooper are lovingly weathered and painted, and the addition of articulation to them elevates the figures to a new level. I can't wait to see what you work on next!

Death Trooper
Death troopers were an elite variant of the Galactic Empire's stormtroopers who were part of Imperial Intelligence.
[wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Death_trooper]
Here is my modified 3 3/4" 5-points of articulation Death Trooper.
Death Trooper modification list:
Added articulation:
-swivel wrists
-bendable elbows
-swivel waist
-bendable knees
The pauldron and the ammunition pockets are now painted in matt black. The buttons on the ammunition pockets are now brass-coloured.
The sensor units on the helmet were painted in a darker green.
E-11D
The buttstock was upgraded with wire. The blaster was painted with matt black and weathered with silver pigments. The muzzle was painted with silver and red and blue oil colours to get the "heat" effect. Red markings were also added.
SE-14r
The blaster pistol is a modified variant from a TIE fighter pilot. I added a string to the belt so the pistol can be added to the figure.

Stormie the stormtrooper doll is made out of parts from an old rubber and wire.

Really well done modifications on the Death Trooper! I didn't know the doll even had a name! Stormie turned out great and I woudl've never expected that one can utilize an eraser to replace modelling clay! The added articulation is great as said before in all the comments above!
Nice adds to the weapons as well! And the holster for the blaster looks great, too! Also nice wirework once again!

Wow, that is one awesome looking trooper. You really did some awesome paint and mod work on this one. Love the blaster too. Off to share.

I actually haven't had much time to look at the picture closely since you shared it with me last week.
Since then I had been waiting for your post on here to see and read the full story about this project.
Over the last days I kept checking back on here if you had found the time to share this awesome sutom with us, yet. I was very curious you know ;) I even checked the forum this morning because I know you're an early bird!
It was a nice coincidence that Havoc_Hobby shared two Shoretrooper customs last weekend, too! It's obvious that the design of these coastal defender stormtroopers has become very popular since Rougue One! I love it, too, and I have to admit that Hasbro's sculpts are well done! If their "action" figures only had more than 5 points of fun for 8 bucks...
Talking about details: The details in paint apps on your Shoretrooper are nice and clean as always! The weathering highlights all the details on this great sculpt! And of course the added articulation makes it a perfect army-builder as we know it from the good old days.
I'm still not a fan of 5POA and I porbably never will. But they are a nice opportunity for Original Vintage Collectors to revive their childhood nostalgia for themselves and their children.
I'm always glad to see that you find good use for my legacy of model building equipment.
Thank you so much for sharing! Both of your Shoretrooper customs is stunningly well done and definitely made my Sunday even nicer!

Thank you very much my friend. I agree with you. I'm also not really a fan of the 5POA figures and I would prefer fully articulated figures but the 5POA figures are nicely detailed and affordable. With a little bit of work you can create a nice figure out of them.

Well, with the Squad Leader I think your series of Shoretroopers is complete, isn't it?
I think it's most remarkable how you make plastic look like authentic fabric! I mean look at the pants of these troopers! With the added weathering they all look as if they were taken right off screen! The modified E-11 looks great, too!
Also your pictures are taken and edited very well, too! Don't need to mention anymore how awesome I find the added articulation of your 5 POA figures...this will look good on the frontpages.
Most impressive work my friend!
Thanks a ton for sharing and have a great weekend!

Since Rogue One Deathtroopers count to my favourite Imperial ground forces. And I really like the concept of Ghost Troopers, which I hadn't heard of before! This armor looks just so stunning!
The mat white paint looks great on the armor! I assume you dry brushed it?
I also love to see how shades and pigments highlight all the details...this is just a fantastic custom, Christoph! It's always stunning to see how much attention you pay to accuracy and detail. The helmet, the boots, the rifle - just everything looks spot on!
Thanks for sharing this awesome concept & have a nice weekend!

Imperial Tank Commander
(HC-4120 First Sergeant Jimmon Arbmab)
Imperial combat assault tank commanders, also known as tank troopers, were specialized vehicle commanders who commanded the Imperial combat assault tank pilots piloting TX-225 GAVw "Occupier" combat assault tanks.
[wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_combat_assault_tank_commander]
A 3 3/4" Tank Commander is still not available so I made my own by repainting a combat assault tank pilot from the Jedha Revolt battleback.
Added articulation:
-swivel wrists
-bendable elbows
Colours:
-Revell enamel Dust Grey (77)
-Revell enamel Purple Red (331)
-black panel liner
Weathering:
-black wash
-brown pigments

I'm surprised that this tank commander got an individual name in particular...Jimmon Arbmab - I like that! A friend of mine from High School becomes a tank commander, too!
The background information is always appreciated and this screenshot of the Imperial Tank Commander is VERY cool, too!
I'm also tempted to get this battle pack just for the tank pilot...it dropped to 17 bucks by now. And you turned it into a fantastic Imperial Tank Commander my friend! Your custom proves that this 5POA tank pilot is actually a good mold! As discussed many times before and most recently on SDCC the approach to Hasbro is to just articulate their figures because most of them look decently. I'm glad that they just announced which seems to finally be the definitve version of the Stormtrooper. It's good to see some more dedication to Rogue One.
I'm most impressed by the paint apps you added to this pale looking figure! They look that nice and clean! Do you use tape for straight lines or do you just have a very calm hand?
That #77 Dust Grey from Revell looks spot on! And man, look at that weathering!! This custom also looks as if it was taken right off screen. And I love these outdoor pics, too! I remember seeing this rock in your backyard!
Thank you for sharing the recipe, again! You did a fantastic job on this one (as always) and added so much value to this figure by adding more articulation! Now, I go pick up my jaw from the floor once again...
Have a good one!
- Philipp
-
That figures looks phenomenal. From the added articulation to the paint work to the weather this is a figure most folks would love to own. Oh Hasbro, what you could do if you would leave out the 5 poa and actually give us some decent paint work.
Off to share.
-
Really great paint apps on this figure. He matches the reference art exceedingly well. Brilliant job!

SAW GERRERA
Here you have a reworked version of Hasbro's 5POA (3,75") Saw Gerrera from the Jedah Revolt battle pack.
The figure is pretty much a complete repaint. I tried to bring out all the little details on the medical suit.
I also used thin wire and fabric strips to bring more details on the figure.
I used Revell enamel colours. For the weathering I used different washes and pigments.
The display stand is made of nut wood. The symbol of Saw's militia is sprayed with white Tamiya spray paint.
I hope you like it.

One loud WOW on all this awesome Rogue One action here on page 78!
(78 pages of custom excellence already by the way...). And if this wasn’t impressive enough, your Saw Gerrera looks AMAZING!!
Favorite detail: EVERYTHING! But I should mention that my jaw just hit the desk when I saw his cape! Christoph, it looks insane!
Furthermore I like the fabric straps on his armor and the details you added to his staff!
Also the wooden display stand looks fantastic, again! Thank you a lot for sending me some. I might dare to use one of them to try this out.
Are you going to share with us, how you prepared the stencil for the emblem?
I really like the character of Saw Gerrera and it’s such a relief to see a super-articulated version of him! It’s also good that you got two (actually three) of the Jedha Revolt Pack (thank you so much, again!).
The Imperial Assault Tank need a crew, doesn’t it?
Looking forward to our conversation tonight!
Your background looks very nice and blue by the way! I really like the shade of blue the light put to it! Your pictures look brilliant!
Salutes & much respect!

Sure does look way better to me.

That’s such a nice pic! I’m always amazed where you find these hats in the right size all the time! I forgot you had the Shock Trooper in 1/6th scale, too!
Thanks for this holiday tribute, have a wonderful time and a good new year, Christoph!
Also congratulations to your 3000th post on here!

Imperial combat assault tank pilot
Imperial combat assault tank pilots, or tank troopers, were Imperial combat drivers specialized in operating the TX-225 GAVw "Occupier" combat assault tanks. [wookieepedia: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Imperial_combat_assault_tank_pilot]
Another Rogue One custom figure I made: This time pretty simple. I took a 5POA tank pilot from the Jedha Revolt battle pack and gave him some articulation in the knees and elbows and wrists and I added some weathering.
The addded articultion was made with wire and foam rubber round cort (you can find a detailed tutorial here on ISY in the tutorial section).
The weathering was made with AK washes, Revell pigments and a pencil.

Its awesome how you take that 5poa junk and turn it into a beauty. Awesome!
Off to share.

I really dig how you add articulation to these figures. These foam tubes make it possible to add joints seamlessly! Like Tamer already said, I really like how you put magic into these dull 5POA figures. Your skills in weathering have become exceptional and make me appreciate Hasbro’s sculpts much more! Thanks for sharing! These two Tank Drivers and your Ghost Trooper look phenomenal! Much respect! I also like your outdoor footage! Best regards to Austria!

Nice! Really excellent job weathering this figure and thanks for pointing out the tutorial. He looks great in the tank too (thanks for sharing your review as well).

Wow! It’s good to see your passion so alive still. This guy looks incredible
I’ll check out the tutorial

Thank you for your great feedback gentlemen.

Baze Malbus
Baze Malbus was a human male born on the desert moon of Jedha fifty-three years before the Battle of Yavin. Once a devoted member of the Guardians of the Whills, Malbus became a freelance assassin during the age of the Galactic Empire.
[wookiepedia: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Baze_Malbus]
Figure: 3,75", 5POA from the Rogue One Baze Malbus vs Imperial Stormtrooper battlepack
Modifications:
- added limited articulation in arms and wrists
- wiring for the radio device on the chest plate
- drilled out hole in the exhaust vent of the weapon-backpack
- drilled out muzzle
- repainted weapon
- weathering
Here you have a simple custom figure. I added some articulation in the arms. The weathering was made with washes, pigments and drybrushing.
I try to make a tutorial for the added articulation in the near future.

Sure does breath life into what I basically classify as statues. Awesome to see this movement. Off to share.
-
Baze looks really good. The paint job is stellar and the articulation is seamless. Really nice job on this.
-
Talking about seamless articulation! Tamer & Starchaser are right! I was wondering how you added the articulation. I supposed you resculpted the joints at the elbows. Talking to you yesterday was very interesting and I'm looking forward to reading your tutorial on Baze! Hasbro have done quite a great job on their 5 POA figures since 2014. Baze Malbus and Chirrut Îmwe are no exception and I really hope we'll finally get them on TVC cards with equally good headsculpts!
As said before, you've become a master of weathering! You made him look SO much better! It's a blessing to see Baze like this because an excellent character deserves excellent representation in action figure form!
Now, one image comes to my mind...so when are you building your next diorama? ;D

NOVATROOPER
As stormtrooper honor guards, Novatroopers were assigned to either historically significant locations such as the Sith burial grounds of Korriban, or to guard captured enemy starships, they were also used as specialized troopers on the front-line.
[wookieepedia: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Novatrooper]
Here you have my 3,75" Nova Trooper. I used Revell and Vallejo paints and a Tamiya clear varnish to get the shiney look.
The backpack is a resin cast Glactic Marine backpack made by DarthMore. Thanks again my friend.

You never fail to both surprise and impress us all! What a very cool Stormtrooper variant this is! I wasn’t even aware of the Novatroopers anymore. The black and golden design looks excellent on the armor! Also the backpack is a nice detail! I’m glad it was useful to you. Thanks for sharing this awesome surprise on a Saturday! The background information you provide is always most exciting!
So good to see another masterpiece from you!

DLT-19D heavy blaster rifle
The DLT-19D heavy blaster rifle was a long-range heavy blaster rifle and a variant of the DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle, featuring a scope and two underbarrel devices, one of which was a glowrod. Used by some of the Galactic Empire's death troopers, the DLT-19D was carried by death troopers that participated in the capture of Galen Erso in 13 BBY.
[wookieepedia: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/DLT-19D_heavy_blaster_rifle]
I've always wanted to make a custom 3 3/4" (1:18 scale) DLT-19D since I've made my upgraded 5 POA Death Trooper. Now it is finally finished.
I used a lot of different Star Wars weapons for the custom. First I removed the bipod from a DLT-19. I made the picatinny rail and the box on the side from thin cardboard. I shortened a scope from a EE-3 (Boba Fett) blaster. I also used a cotton swab to create some parts. I made the wiring with a 0,4mm steel wire.
I hope you like it.

Now that is freaking fantastic detail for such a small scale. So nice. Looks so much better than the regular blaster rifle. Sure wish this could be scanned and 3D Printed or a cast made of it. Folks would buy this!
Off to the front pages. Great work.
-
Damn! That blaster looks amazing! Outstanding work!
-
Brilliant, just brilliant! You did a fantastic job especially considering the small scale. Your custom looks spot on to the reference images. This ia project you should be both pleased with and proud of.
-
That DLT-19D is awesome mate and the all the little details are perfect.
Ron

Tamer:
Thank you very much Shawn. It would be great to get at least a DLT-19D for the 6" Death Trooper (maybe a future custom project) but at the moment the only option is the 1/6 Death Trooper from Hot Toys.
Don:
Thank you very much Don
Starchaser
Thank you very much Starchaser. I'm pretty happy with the result.
hemble
Thank you very much my friend.

Sorry for my late response. I can only agree with previous comments: That's quite a transformation! Your modded DLT looks absolutely epic! Day and night compared to the basic version by Hasbro. I'll figure out how I can supply you with more accessories for more custom mods like this.
Again, your talent is remarkable. So good to see that you found time & motivation to return to the hobby!
-
Thank you very much for your comment my friend. Don't worry about the delay I know you are very busy at the moment.
I'm glad you like the DLT. It would be great to make a 6" version with more details.
