Here is one of my favorite pics from last year. I will try to get an update. It is usually me doing the picture taking in my family. I am the slightly larger of the two people in this pic by the way. :P

Here is a pic of me in front of the water display at the waterfront in downtown Branson. The makers of the Bellagio's fountains constructed this 7 million dollar opus.
And then, here is a pic of me giving Jhonny Carson a hard time in Branson's Hollywood wax muesem while Bill Cosby looks on.

That is a pretty slick photo Chad! Were there other options, or was that the only one you could get? Man, I'm mad I missed it when it was here in Chicago.
-
There were around 12 different pics to choose from. About 4 of them were for kids, 2 of them were padme and leia.
-
I am telling you, that sure makes it look like you need some Sith or Jedi robes Chad!

Jedi robes? Thats would be the same as you opening up your carded collection!

Now this is what I am talking about. Great pics guys.
Serg, you make me envious about that Tunisia trip. Have you created a photobucket or slideshow or online picture album of your trip?
Greg, I was looking at some of that stuff you were standing in line behind and drooling. I had better not go to a major convention, I would spend so much money I would end up divorced!
-
Ya mate C3 was expensive but sooo worth it. need a bank loan just to go to next one..lol
-
Great pics there, Greg! So how much did you spend at c3?
-
At least $500 i'd reckon......
-
Yikes! Righteous bucks!
-
Could have been more but hard to remember. I had a fair bit saved up for my trip over there
-
That pic with Prowse is GREAT!!
-
That pic with Prowse is GREAT!!
Yeah he was fantastic. We had a stall at the Con he was signing at and the guy who owned the stall went up to get autos. He (out of the blue) just asked him if he'd like to be taken out for dinner expecting a refusal and he turned out saying "no probs, i'll tee it up with the Con people"...all the staff working at the stall were taken and the whole night was just fantastic. One of my best SW memories to date.....
-
And seems the cool picture comes with even a cooler story. ;) vadsab

Just sent this custom made Master Replicas wide type plaque to Dave Prowse (when it returns will go to James Earl Jones as well):

-
Too cool Serg!
-
Serg that shot doesn't look like the pictures I recall of you! O0
-
So if i send a Figure to James Earl Jones, would he sign it? like where (address) are you sending it Serg?
DA
-
I think he will sign it no problem, but you need to pay for shipping (International Reply Coupon or cash in the envelope/package) and also find 2 boxes - the larger one with Mr. James Earl Jones address (see blow) and a smaller one to put inside this one with your address on it and the figure you want signed.

Found a couple of jobsite pics showing myself as a grubby ironworker. In the one shot where I am up in the air, hanging on a wall, my hardhat had just fallen off. Both of these shots were taken at a waste water treatment plant north of Blue Springs, Mo.
-
Good to see some pics, I need to put up a few Xmas ones. I am usually taking the pics for my family though. I wish I had you nearer Clint, man I could use a nice ole retaining wall on my hill of a front driveway to keep it from falling down with the winter thaw and freeze action.
-
I guess I never got around to posting a pic so here's onein the SW room and another with my latest car project, I am redoing my Dad's 34, I hate the front grill apron so it's now gone. Never have 90 degree angle on a street rod ;)
-
That's a sweet looking ride for sure there, Wayne. I like your SW room. Looks like you got some goodies in there.
-
Boy that is a sweet ride. Sarge and his muscle cars! I see a few things in your room I would like!

Thanks for the comment on the car but it's not mine, atleast not yet. It's my dads, it's an all steel 34, I'll snap updated pics once it's done again. And as for items in my SW room, everything is negotiable :)

Here are some shots from my recent Florida trip.
The first is of me and Customcloner John in Cape Coral getting ready for a standoff. That's his daughter on the lower left.
The second is of me and my folks on Ft. Meyers beach.
The third is of me on the beach on Sanibel Island.
The forth is of me in Ft. Meyers again.
-
Thats a great one of you and John. That is pretty cool that you hooked up while on vacation.
-
looks like a good trip....
-
Yep, that was a great trip to Fla. I can't wait to go back.
Here is a shot from last night where I and the wifey "on the right" ate dinner with my brother in law and step-sister "in the back" and his son and son's girlfriend "on the left" at our favorite local Mexican Restaurant
-
looks like a fun night out. I need to get a few updated pics here so you guys don't forget what I look like.
-
Here are some more shots from our Florida trip from the wifey's camera.
First one is me under the Ft Meyers Beach Peir.
Second is me next to someone's sand sculpture on Ft Meyers beach " not mine, I would have made the Death Star or something"
Third is me standing in front of the Banyan tree at the Edison/Ford estate in North Ft. Meyers. "yes, that's all one tree"
-
That is some tree! That would have been cool to see a SW sand sculpture.
-

That tree was brought there by Mr. Firestone from India to help Mr. Edison in his research to try to find a cheaper source of rubber. When it was planted in the 40s, it was a 4ft cutting and now this tree takes up a whole acre of the Edison/Ford estate in Ft. Meyers.

Tamer likes seeing me hanging on a rebar wall so I found a couple of shots of it to post. These were taken probably 3 years

No, not really. It just depends on the situation. I'm more afraid of running out of morning coffee.

I don't like going up on my own roof, but I kind of like climbing around on rebar walls. Good exercise.

LOL, he ended up that way, buddy.
-
Okay, that's me.
Do I look rained upon? Indeed.
The pic was taken last Saturday when our Scout Troop set up shop for a public display.
Of course, it poured down on us when we set up our tents.
-
Good shot Volker. It is sure looks like it was rain! I take it you are a Scout Leader. Thats great!
-
Yep, I'm Scoutmaster of Selous Troop here in town.
If you're interested, check out our blog at: www.frederickselous.blogspot.com
-
I will give it a peek Volker!
-
As in the guy who the Rhodesian Selous Scouts are named for? My son was a Boy Scout and my middle daughter was a Girl Scout, but they are far more interested in something a bit more ... aggressive. ;D
-
I will give it a peek Volker!
Well the German was lost on me Volker, but it was nice to see the kids having so much fun! I wish I could start a fire with a knife and a flint, I have never tried it. Kids need things like Scouts to keep em outta trouble imo! I am a teacher by profession so I spend a good deal of time with kids too. I am sad to say Scouting is not something that a lot of kids do in my area.
-
@Doc: Yes, the Troop is named after the same Frederick Selous the Rhodesian Selous Scouts named themselves after. In fact, there will be a brief report about our merry gang in an upcoming book of Selous and the various units who were called "Selous Scouts". We'll be in the very last chapter describing the use of the name in a peaceful context.
@Tamer: Never mind the language, I think the pics will let you catch our drift. We are doing very traditional Scouting and it is dramatically different from what most other German-based troops (or tribes as most call themselves) do. No board games and playing cards for these kids. We spend a lot of time out in the boonies hiking and camping and making do with as little kit as possible. They can rappel down cliffs and in a year and a half I'll take those who are old enough to legally do so, parachuting.
If you want to run a good program, you'll have to be prepared to invest a lot of time, but it's worth it. It is amazing to see how the kids develop themselves. If you feel you have the time and energy, raise a Troop right where you live. It will make one hell of a difference for the kids.
-
I am gonna give that some thought. I like the idea of a more "hardcore" type of scout.
I must say, your command of the English language is, I can see, perhaps better than my own. And to think your primary language is German!
-
yup he does well in the conversion there......See Star Wars does bring the international community together...... ;D
-
Thanks, people.
-
I used to be a boy scout, Volker. I didnt quite get to eagle scout. Cars, jobs, and chasing girls got in the way.
-

yeah, odd to consider that a greater majority of the civilized world is bilingual at the minimum. Only the colonials that are shackled to one language, :)
Parachuting, eh? Sounds dangerous, but pretty fun, as well.
-
Clint, I sort of dropped out when school, jobs, girls and then the military got in my way, but I got back in when I thought it was about time to give something back to the community.
That was just a few years ago.
Many people still think that parachuting is some sort of daredevil stunt, but in fact, it is not more dangerous than driving a bike or a car. However, it can be a great confidence-building tool. Think of a 14-year-old who does this.

Cable TV, mainly setting up the internet for various cities in Florida, from Naples to Tallahassee.
In the Navy, I was a weapons tech, and served on the U.S.S. Eisenhower, a nuclear aircraft carrier (CVN 69).
We were pretty much in dry dock for my stay.
-
I remember saling with the Eisenhower.
I was an enginman on the Thomas s Gates cg51

I doubt I've ever posted a picture of myself on here. Even thoguh I have lost my camera, I might be able to find some older pictures of myself on one of the computers.
-
I couldn't find a picture of myself, so I guess it's time to search for the camera again.

Also, pony nap is a heck of a nickname, :)

Hey - Hermoine is hot! That's plenty of reason to have a poster of her!

I've never been to any convensions....I'm on the verge of doing so. Until I joined you sorry lot I never really could admit to being a full blown Star Wars Geek, but now that has changed....I've finally "come out"...
-
Great pics guys. I know what you mean Jules, my true friends know I collect Star Wars but some of my associates have no clue. It doesn't really come up hanging out with a crew of pro skaters. I thought I would jump in here with a few pics.

LOL! That last shot comes with a pretty good story, I'm guessing! I didn't know you were into skating so much! Very cool! I haven't touched a board in almost 20 years! The only wheels I've been on are my roller hockey skates!
Here are a couple new shots of me. The first one is me in a silly mood, where I shaved a mohawk into my hair! The 2nd one is from a recent roller hockey tournament I played in.
-
I need to do a few newer ones of me too. Great shot that last one!

LE, I'm surprised to see an old geezer such as yourself grinding like that, LOL.Apparently you aren't the only daredevil in your family. Your son looked so comfortable sitting there as you were risking your neck above him.
And look at you, rubbing elbows with the celebs. Man, the Dew Tour looks like alotta fun. It's always nice to see these happy pix of you and yours.
Sorry about all of the r1bb1ng about your age. You know I'm just kidding. ;D
-
Great pics Luke!
-
Thanks guys and I say you are as young as you feel/keep yourself. This is how I stay young...in my head i'm around 27ish.
-
L.E., I assume you know that I'm just joking with you. I have a tremendous amount of respect for you, on numerous levels, not just from your customs.
We're roughly the same age, and I feel that I can joke about age, since we both ( as many on here ) feel much younger than our birth certificates reveal our age to be.
It's funny, I can work circles around people 1/2 my age, as I'm sure you can as well; and I mean physical related labor.
This is my explanation for the geezer remark. Never meant disrespect, as I'm sure you know.
-
Alright, I'm gonna give in. Here's a few shots of me.
Here's me along with my friend Kyle at Fenway Park this past May. Sox won btw.

Lol, Dave. I won't ask about the third one.
-
I think I seen you at a Ozzy Osborne concert.
-
dude, in that last pic, are you wearing pants on your arms?
-
some kinda fancy dress theme?
-
lol nah it was a bed sheet. A few years ago me and my friends did some comedy skits for fun. This picture was taken right before one of the skits. In this one I was supposed to be some king rambling on about a tiny pony. I honestly don't think the skits are that great anymore, we've seen them so many times we've gotten to the point where we are so sick of them lol.
-
is it just me or does Kelly look as inhuman and plasticy as the Rocky statue wailing on Mr Sprywalker?

I still think that she's cute. I always have. I think it's the dimples.
-
Let me tell you I have always thought she was cute. She looks like an angel in person. She is so tiny i felt like I could have broke her in half.

LOL, yeah, I'm a fan, not a big fan.
I wake up every day to Rachael ray, though, :)

to my immediate left is ST6 whipping boy Viper and to my immediate right is Segnett, the human pretzel undone.
JD is by far the coolest guy in that pic, I'm embarassed to say. Thats right, the guy that thinks truckers have fashion sense(look at him closely, he was emulating them) and he's the coolest, :(
LOL, great pick, J.

;D I moslty have to try and brainwash her, when mom (my g/f) isn't around. She's sooooooo not into SW, you know. I guess Linet (that's my little girl) could always dress up as Mara Jade ;)

My 5 year old girl loves Star Wars. I took her to see Clone Wars once and then she asked to see it twice more, far be it from me to argue. ;D She and I sit down every friday and watch the shnow every week. Now she may not get as intently into it as I do but that'll come with time I'm sure.
-
Nothing a little indoctrination couldn't help along...
-
Meh, that has such a nasty sound to it. I'd like to think of it as education. Same goes for music: my girl's been humming along with Zep's Immigrant Song ever since she was 3 y/o ;D Oh, and she digs Primus' De Anza Jig as well ;)

LOL< I had posted it up at the time after the con, but it didn't get a lot of traffic on ST6, lol.
I'm the worst at video, short bursts with poor narration, hell, one of my videos is segnett's back, :(

lol i must love SW stuff, i named my daughter Jayde! ;D
If my second child had been a boy, he'd be called Jorick Jaycen. I proposed Anakin as a second name, but my g/f know it's a SW name. She doesn't know Jaycen is, just thinks it's a different way of spelling Jason ;D
But we had another lovely girl instead, called Dione Jasmijn (Jasmine in English). Sorry guys, Jaina didn't sound right to my g/f ;D
-
Now this is what I am talking about. Great pics guys.
Serg, you make me envious about that Tunisia trip. Have you created a photobucket or slideshow or online picture album of your trip?

Segnett named his kid Jayden, but because his name is Jay and he's a narcisist, :)
I tried natalie, padme, even amidala, but the wife veto'd. So we have Zoe, :)
then the wife saw fanboys over the weekend and connected the tertiary reference to starwars, :)
-
Hi guys. Well here's a picture of me with my pet croc, and me at work.
-
Did a double take on that croc before I saw it was fake. Good to associate a face with a name.
-
Yea thanks oofire. It is good to put a face to everyones name. Nice crockie!
-
Ah, another Firefighter! Nice pic 00Fire!
-
fire fighters, eh/
Its a trick, get an axe....oh, you already have one.
I could have been a fireman, if it wasn't for the job requirements of fitness, heroics, selfless service...maybe I'd be better suited to police work..Hey O!
-
LOL! Simon, you are a comedian! You should do some stand-up!
-
Nice pics, OOfire! I like your pet.

Very cool, JoeRhyno! Where in Chicagoland are you guys from? I live in NW Indiana, just over the border from Illinios
-
we're all spread out, from south near Joliet, Downers Grove area, Aurora, then some up north near Schaumburg and the Wis. border(Crystal Lake-ish)... Pretty much all the North/South/Western burbs are covered, lol.. Oh, and one lonely guy in Skokie ;D
-
LOL! Gotcha. I used to live in West Dundee as a kid. My Grandma still lives in Elgin.
-
What do I look like well Scary springs to mind, lol.
-
You asked:
The photo is from Aug this year my wife took it to prove to me I lost weight (comparing to a photo I had from one year previous, which BTW was obvious when set side by side).
Not bad for an old man who is nearly 40 if I do say so myself LOL.
-
Nice pic, Zed. Nearly 40 and you still have all of your hair. LOL "I am 40 and can see it thinning"
-
Nice pics.
Thinning, lol? My dad still has pretty much all of his hair, which is down his back. I suppose he is one of the "lucky" ones.
Also, I never did post pics on here, did I? I should get some up if I can. I'll probably use school pics because they're the quickest way, plus I hate taking pictures.
-
Nice pic, Zed. Nearly 40 and you still have all of your hair. LOL "I am 40 and can see it thinning"
Yep my grandfatehr had that problem but only due to Polio back in the ancient times. Not sure how that worked but that is what I have been told.
-
Good to see faces attached to names. I will do a snowy one this weekend probably just so you don't forget what I look like.
-
Zed i think quite a few of us are 40ish here..lol ;)....still love the toys just as much though....
-
I know why I like this place now, we are all the same age nearly, I am 40 as well, way cool, I have always felt the oldest on the other boards - well that and everyone on here respects everyone else, which you don't get on a lot of boards.
Oh and here's a new pic of me and one that proves I am 40.

almost 3 decades later I still have Star Wars t-shirts, but now "grown up" adult me has Star Wars tattoos, and I bet I buy 3 times more SW toys every year now than I ever could have dreamt of getting on the best holiday gift hauls when I was a wee lad.
-
Ah, the good ole days. I have got to go through my mom's old pics to see if I can find any of me and my SW toys. Good one NFC.

Oh, the most recent pic of me I have posted in the How to Tame your Dragon non SW movie thread. You will indeed see I meet the three above criteria.

-
Nice pics, SL!
-
Took some snapshots of some old Navy pics that I have been framing and hanging that I don't believe that I had posted before.
The first is of me in my summer working whites in front of one of my ship's helos in Ft Lauderdale Fl, probably in 1992.
The second is of my Boot Camp Company. Can you find me in that shot?
See the company flag in the bottom right corner? I made that. My company commanders liked it so much that when it came time to discipline us, they would threaten to take the flag away from us.
-
Very nice Clint. For the life of me I can't figure out the basic shot. I will give it some more time. I ought to do the same thing for my basic photo.
On another note you will see me in my glory on the front page today. Daggone I have gotten older and greyer.
-
Haven't we all, my friend. That boot camp shot didn't turn out very clearly on here. I will have to shoot it again or scan it and give you another try.

I'm the one at the left with the Kiss shirt :D

I just read that it was this past weekend! I totally forgot to look up when it was, though it wouldn't have mattered since I had to work all weekend. How was it?

me and my girlfriend at CV,that would make a cool breakfast nook huh.
-
Great photo! That would make a cool breakfast nook!
-
If I had that seat, I would have to build a bar around it. Nice shot!
-
thats my dream table for my house.if i had the supplies and the know how,i would make it happen, whether my girl would approve is another story.
-
OH MAN YOU GUYS AINT KIDDING,THAT'S LIKE MY DREAM TABLE FOR MY HOUSE.IF I HAD THE SUPPLIES AND THE KNOW HOW,I'D HAVE IT,ALTHOUGH WHETHER OR NOT MY GIRL WOULD GO FOR IT IS ANOTHER STORY.
Three paths to take, in this situation:
-Don't do it. "Let the woman win". ;D
-Build it while she's away; what she doesn't know won't hurt her, until she finds out.
-Build it while she's there; "this is the home decor you're looking for". (Given, this one requires you to have Force abilities, but when in doubt, shoot it out, right? Or not right? Have no idea where that came in. Nevermind, probably best just to take the first path.)
-
yeah that would go over smooth,"hey babe, turned our coffee table into a Dejaric board."
-
Hehe - why grow up when you can 'act up' !! :P
