Title: Walmart
Post by: Clonehead on August 17, 2009, 10:20:53 AM
I was in a walmart today and seen an empty shelf with a SW deluxe vehicle tag for $64.95.  I even took the tag to a handy bar code scanner to investigate but was told no more info.   Since I haven't seen any shadow arc 170s at a walmart, I was wondering if this might have been a y-wing that I had missed.
Any of you yarders see a walmart with a vehicle on the shelf for this price?

Clone, I saw one last night too! Same deal - empty shelf space, but the tag clearly read SW VEHIC DLXE or something to that effect. I want to say the price was $64.88 for some reason, but it may have been $64.95. I did note that the tag was dated 8/17, so this is definitely something new. The price fits, and I can't think of any other big vehicles slated for release at this time.

It looked like they were in the middle of another aisle re-org (seems like they are always in flux), so I am hoping these will be put out any day. I am checking back regularly. (Hit another WM this morning - no tag, but I have another run slated to a different location at lunch, so we'll see)

Seen the tag at another Walmart today. Still no idea what it is but it should be stocked
Soon.

I've now been to 4 of the 5 local Wal-Marts and only 1 had this tag up - I confirmed again last night - Star Wars Deluxe Vehicle $64.88.

I tried scanning the UPC code too at one of the self-help kiosks but it did not register.

They also had a Xerox of display blueprints clearly showing this item's location and some kind of # like 91350 or something like that. Is that a SKU you think?

This store is now on my every-other day rotation until that bad boy Y-Wing arrives...

Here the only thing I have seen priced like this was clearly for a LEGO vehicle as it was surrounded by..... LEGO vehicles.
Nothing of note new out here.
The Obi and Clone pack with the ARC, Scuba and Heavy Gunner was on the shelves in Kmart at a whopping $27.99 and that is about all. They were the only place with well stocked shelves and their figs are priced at $8.49 or more. And the comic packs Doc wanted with the Imp Knights and the Shysa and Dala figs were there at $14.99 each. Lots of the fishhead and Sunber comic packs at our WM for $12.59, but that was all. Absolutely no new SW.
Lots and Lots of GI JOE, all figs and vehicles released now (since i did my research to be in the know) but nothing my wife or son would let grab me and force me to buy. I really dont like shopping with these people much any more.

I am watching three stores now that are all geared up for a reset. At the wife's store they have rearanged and have now allotted twice as much space for star wars. This stuff is hitting soon!

Watch the clearance isles as with this new reset, alot of overflow is making it to clearance.
I seen unleashed bps for $5 missmarked mighty muggs for $1.50 and comic packs for $10.

Sadly, I think they mystery has been resolved. That tag is for the Shadow ARC-170...I saw them last night at one of the outlying Walmarts...1st time I have seen this item stocked at any Walmart. Price fits too, dammit.

So it could still be October before we see the Y-Wing...BOOO!

Yep, it was the shadow arc that belonged to the mystery tag. I see on Target.com where they say that the y-wing is available in some stores but couldnt find one today. Can Walmart be too far behind?
Title: Re: Walmart
Post by: McMetal on August 27, 2009, 10:59:43 AM
Let's hope not.

Most of the stores on my run don't even have space for a Y-Wing right now. TRU does now that they've created that monstrous new display, but they are among the WORST retail outlets for getting new stuff around here.

I've backed off my Wal-Mart patrols, but I am still hitting them all once a week just to stay current.

Today I finally saw and held the packaging for the Phase III Darktrooper BAD set with Corran Horn and Whistler and General Grievous and his droid companion( dont know who it was right now)......
and somebody had stolen the BAD Darktrooper parts.
So obviously I didnt get them..... and still havent seen the parts to build it.
Only real new thing was the Shadow ARC-170.
There is always the weekend...

I have also seen some stood factory sets where the dark trooper parts were missing. That's a big boo on hasbro for not rubber banding those parts in like they did the figures.

Not only did the
Warsaw Walmart have nothing new but unlike the other stores, they had shrunk their star wars section to a smaller size.

Since the 64.88 tag is not product specific, they should be
Able to stock the y wing in the same slot as the arc170.

Good call, this is in fact exactly what they appear to be doing. Galactic Hunter has pics up now of the Y-Wing on the shelves at a Wal-Mart in Texas, list price $64.88. Looks like it's crammed right in there with the Shadow Arcs.

Of course there is no sign of this anywhere here in VA yet, but I have at least 3 more Walmarts to check tonight, so we'll see.

Finally got to a retail store today, but it was for school clothes.  This time I remembered to take notes.  The stock was pretty basic, consisting of popular Legacy Collection figures.  Besides this, they had character and droid two packs, an astromech droid with a character.  Besides this, they had lightsabers and build your own blaster kits.  As it goes for Clone Wars, the single figures were depleted.  They had bigger sets though, which I managed to pick up a speeder bike 501st trooper.  The battlepacks they had were only Jedi vs. Sidious, so that was depleted as well.  Altogether the stock was fairly good.

Well, I was 0-5 yesterday.   :'(

I guess we are just never going to get anything new around here.

Or else everything will show up at the same time when I don't have enough $$$ to buy all of it.

Not having new toys is bad enough, but not having new toys while other people are getting them in other places really stinks.

crap crap crap! Since the stateline store had nothing on we'd, I skipped it yesterday. I just read at coreplanets.com that they got the two packs and the ego packs in yesterday.
Arrerrgh!
Looks like I am getting rained out today. I may check both the raytown and blueridge stores on the way home.

I managed to make it by one non-local WM last night.  Of note, a Turbo Tank, a shadow ARC, the CORPS! armored speeder, and some Trek figs.  Comic packs were the Ewoks, Sunber/Amanin, & Quarren/Mon Cal Rogue Squadron pilots - at full price.  Of the HK47 wave, they had 1x Owen and 2x Typho.  Now, come CW figs, they had Windu w/ armor, Ani and Ahsoka in spacesuits, Echo, Denal?, and others.  No Cad Bane, tho.  I picked up ONE of the Trek figs, a Cadet McCoy, I think, that were piled up on a clearance rack but not tagged.  Needless to say, they were $6.97, NOT marked down on clearance like their neighbors.  Kinda torqued me, but wasn't a surprise.  No Darktrooper 2-packs.  No lots of things.  ROC Joes were fairly well represented - I found the one I wanted at the front of the pegs, so I didn't dig any further.  No need in depressing myself over what I can't get right now.   :-X

I didn't get any SW figs - admittedly, I was carrying around the Windu for the armor parts, the Space Ani for the jetpack, and the Ahsoka for the...potential.  I *almost* got that CORPS! speeder.  Yes, it is that kool.  If I had a couple of Hailfire Droid missle racks, I'd scoop it up and build a Battlefront  AAC-1 out of it!

I got the Joe for a specific purpose and the Trek fig for the parts.  I figure I'll repaint his lame self to use as a station background denizen later.  Prolly a maintenance dweeb.

Doc, If you happen to get back there, I will trade you one of my  evo rebel pilot 3 packs for a minty ewok comic pack.
Darth Aussie is needing one.

At the raytown store, I scored a y-wing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only one that they had. They did put those evo packs in the clearance isle again and I picked one up for doc but didnt deem them quite minty enough to get one for Tamer unless he wants one. A little shelf wear on one corner, buddy.

I then went to the blue ridge store and found a droid factory pack minus the stolen parts for $13, Corren Horn and Whistler astromech. Also, they had the star trek figs on clearance again for $5. Masterfett, they had an original spock with the t2 part, I believe, if you still need one.
On an endcap in the back of the toy section, they had the clone wars 2 packs and the new evo sets. They were minus the imperial pilots II set but I grabbed the other two and the two packs.

Finially, I found some new stuff. I used clone cash in 4 different transactions today and in between my walmart discount and the clone cash, I saved about $35. "yes, I stopped by a TRU, also.
I gotta run to the lake but will email some pics to Tamer if he has time to post em.

SCORE!!!!!! Now to find the one last evo pack, that pesky snail tank, and those darn battle packs.

I went hunting for Octuparra Droids and the CW 2-Pack Wave 2 figs, but no luck.

One of the Wal-Mart's did have the new Legacy figs in though...sadly only 1 of each. I wanted a Rumsleg for sheer coolness, but the helmet looked pretty deformed in the only one they had. I decided to pass; they're bound to start showing up elsewhere soon enough.

Why did VA get passed over for the new exclusive?

I picked mine up at lunchtime...the Walmart near my office had just put them out on display. Best $36.75 I ever spent! (Although they were displayed along with all the $24.77 starfighters, sneaky) I was hard pressed not to buy TWO of them!

It has some serious heft...this is a solid package, fellas.

I like your thinking Doc.  There have been no changes here in NW Indiana, in Walmart, Target, Meijer, or Toys R Us.  I'm looking for only a couple of figures, because for the most part, I'm out of the figure collecting business, but they should have been released LONG ago for cryin out loud.  I have no need for the Spacetrooper, Han or Luke in Stormtrooper disguise, or ROTS Anakin or Obi-Wan.

JTA has a blurb up about Walmart suddenly jacking up the price of the CW 2-packs to $16.97. Yikes! That's more than buying 2 figures individually!

WTF would prompt an arbitrary hike like that? I got mine for around $12 each when they first came out.

And they had the new CW wave out Wednesday. I didnt get Luminara, but did get Argyus and a Spacesuit Obi Wan for my son.
No new comic packs or ships.
They did have the BAD wave with Holo Sidius and Rum Sleg and Clegg Holdfast and the Jawa and The Gungan Warrior and Queen Padme figs making the L8-L9 droid, which I had to get.

I'll be at our local Bay Area Walmart Sunday to check out what they have. It's been about a week since I was last there. I really want an ATST and 2 Gunship Pod packs...

Anyone seen the Gunship pods in Cali yet?

we have the pods here, but thats it, oh and the  jabba set.

I talked to the hasbro rep yesterday, the atst has not hit in her district yet.  She did say it was delayed, but didn't say if it was a local delay or one at the factory, :(

Is it just me or does it seem like wally world is just about the only store to get new stuff? I was thinking about going and getting one of those big wing ties exclusive to Target, but Walmart seems to be the only store getting new stuff in.
Title: Re: Walmart
Post by: narceron on November 10, 2009, 07:18:02 AM
I'm currently only looking for three items, the DCU classics green arrow, target serpent armor, and maybe, maybe the atst, but yes, walmart seems to get more stuff.
Title: Re: Walmart
Post by: McMetal on November 10, 2009, 08:12:02 AM
Walmart is rolling with their excusives, that's for sure. They picked a good time o get them out on shelves, in stark contrast to Target, who apprently have no interest in geting their 2 exclusive Clone Wars BP's out in stores in time for the seasonal shopping surge. (Even though we have seen packaged pics of both sets since SDCC in JULY!!!)

I would definitely say Walmart and TRU are the only stores worth checking right now. TRU is the only retail outlet to stock the new wave of Battle Packs for example (Endor, Rishi Moon, Gelagrub).

I have yet to see Target's exclusive Big Wing TIE fighter now that I think about it. So that's 3 exclusives they have stuck up their collective arses for no apparent reason.

For those interested, Walmart online now has the dewback listed,  click the link under our banner for a looksee,  AT-ST still not listed, but some 2 packs re up as well,
Title: Re: Walmart
Post by: DS-61-2 on November 10, 2009, 11:34:35 AM
The large wing tie fighter has been online from target for over a month I ordered 2 of them and was awarded free shipping.
Title: Re: Walmart
Post by: McMetal on November 10, 2009, 08:47:57 PM
Yep, but they should really consider getting these out in stores. This is likely to be another shaky year for retail and I don't think there is a downside of getting your exclusives out there 6 weeks before X-Mas. Walmart and TRU don't seem to think so anyway.

I saw remnants of TCW Wave 10 at another Wally tonight (Padme and Ziro's Assassin Droid) so props to them once again.

I also just heard reports about the new wave of BP's being spotted at Walmart - incl. Rishi Moon!

First sighting of the new Legacy Wave at Walmart today during lunch. Looked like a full set out on the pegs - Hrcheck Kal Fas, Leesub Sirln, etc. Pretty cool, but not anything I felt compelled to purchase.

Oddly the same store had no Dewbacks or AT-ST's that I could see. They have popped up at most of the other stores by now.

Title: Re: Walmart
Post by: McMetal on November 14, 2009, 06:52:23 PM
Yeah, and I would add that you REALLY need to search for these things (the AT-ST) depending on the store you visit. They are never anywhere near the actual SW section. I have seen them on endcaps, crammed in on the clearance aisle, stuck with Legos, you name it.

USD - outstanding!!!  Too bad I'm no longer eligible, since wifey works there.

Well I found out why I haven't been seeing anything at my local wal-mart, all of the toys are boxed up to the cieling in the lawn and garden center. I mean the entire lawn and garden center (outside section with tall roof). The sad thing is tons of em say SW on the side of em, but how can you sell Xmas toys if you don't put em out for people to buy. It is ticking me off!

Maybe thats part of it, but I am telling you there are so many they would have to wheel out pallets for a week striaght to clear em out. They are the entire section from the floor way up to the cieling. Lord knows how many of em are mangled up now.

Keep your eyes peeled for the blockbuster value packs that are appearing in walmart stores. These packs feature two legacy figs in the old packaging back to back and taped together. They go for $7.47 a two pack. Good luck getting em apart and keeping em minty but it's a great value. So far, the wife has found ones in her store featuring FX-6, Commander Faie, Stass Allie, and General Grievous. If these value packs cover the whole wave that these figures were in, we should also be able to find versions containing the two Organas and the 327th star corps trooper.

She picked me up a FX-6/commander Faie two pack, today and yes, they came with BAD parts.

Yea. 6 bucks

Santa (I) picked up match stick, thire, sandtrooper, Cody - movie version, zeros assassin droid and the camo.  droid

and a exespensive dewback.

Walmart put a new display in the middle of an aisle a couple of days ago, maybe 2 or 3 hundred characters,
and they are gone. My two clones (boys) found a few of the characters, listed above and went and hid them on a different aisle. LOL. So I went back and bought them last nite. They will be so bummed next time we go there and they find them gone. Glad they did it or I would not have gotten anything. I could not believe how fast this stuff was sold

Post by: Tamer on December 09, 2009, 05:31:26 PM
Oh, I found the Sw ones alright, way up on a top shelf I couldn't get too. The coast was clear and I was going in. I even had my little multitool knife handy to open the boxes. The thing that burns me even more now is the fact that now these boxes are soaking wet. The storm we got last night evidently dripped through what limited covering there is in that high section. I doubt they would have been undamaged had I been able to get to the boxes. It took me fifteen minutes to find some as there was pallet after pallet of toys there.  What a joke, I did notice they lowered the figure price finally and did stock some newer CW figs, not the newest wave, but better than I had seen on the pegs. Like I said there were so many toy boxes I could have missed some too, but wow I wonder what they will do with all those toys when Xmas is over? Maybe I can find some great clearance deals, but this store stinks at it.

The only problem with the comic packs are the price Walmart is  charging for them now, and in reality they are only kit bashes, not to say I don't want the figures it's just at the min there is more important things on the go, also out of both comic packs all I want is only one figure from each - Rom Mohc and General Weir, I think I am going to hold off and see if I can pick them up cheap somewhere.

As for the Clone Wars figures the last one I got was Hondo, haven't seen anymore since, that are new.

Anycase landed myself a Commander Bly CW figure, nearly picked up Commander Stone but he really doesn't look that cool, I will get him but most probably later on, obviously all the good figures were gone such as Aayla Secura and Thi-Sen, actually those are the only 2 I want now, until the next wave comes out or is this the one with TX-20 in it.

took this shot of some empty pegs at the Independence MO walmart on 40 Highway. When I asked a toy section associate if they had any other star wars figures she replied "no, that's all we got"

Idiocy, Most of my stores have not restocked their figures pegs for months. By the time that the new waves hit these stores, their patrons will have forgotten that they even sell Star Wars stuff.

Good Job, Slackers!

That is pretty much what ours in Manhattan KS looks like, except they have 3 SW Transformers and 0 that is zero figs.
I bought the last one, which happened to be a Imperial Scanning Crew fig.
Can you believe I never picked this one up before?
At least I found something to buy after 3 months of nothing.
I hope they get stuff out here soon.
Even the discount items are not really discounted. They have had the same Geligrub set out for 6 weeks for a price of.... $23.59????
That is not a discount, and they can keep the big blob with a cool fig for that much.

They really did pack in too many Obi's and Ani's in all the waves.
I think I have about 5 of each and 3 or 4 are identical thanks to multi figure packs and lowball EBay bids won .... right after buying them in store.
They did have the Snow Obi at least. My son finally got that one just tonight.
Our stores still have the helmet pack CW figs and helmet Legacy figs.... from like a year and a half ago at least.

Both my locaol walmarts have the same looking pegs. I don't think I am gonna see the vintage stuff for quite some time due to CW clogging the pegs. I don't know how they are gonna ever put out new CW figs either. I also wonder if they will just raise the price back up to seven bucks or so. I keep hoping by accident I will go in there and see new vintage stuff at the four fifty price tag, but I know I am dreaming.
Title: Re: Walmart
Post by: Tamer on June 09, 2011, 05:14:11 PM
Wow, its been awhile since this has been updated.

Well I went looking for the new vntage wave today and came up empty handed, but I did see where Saga Legends are now $4.50 on the pegs.

I think the saddest thing was the fact that there was almost side by side a vintage rots clone trooper, a vintage 212th clone trooper, and the saga legends clone trooper at $4.50. Both of the helmets on the previous two were yellowing and the saga legends trooper, almost half off the price of the other two, looked better with a whiter helmet and general armor. I don't know what plastic they are using for some of those early Clone piecies, but I hope they have gotten rid of it.

Alright Wally world, it's your turn.

What I have for a while now known to be a wasted trip proved it self again the other day as I made the fruitless trip down the action figure isle at my local walmart hoping to find some new star wars or gi-joe figures. The isle has looked like it was ready to be reset for a couple of weeks now with no pegs designated for joes and the same crap in the star wars section with no new clone wars figures and the same phantom menace wave of star wars figures that should of went the way of the clearance isle a year ago. It's a terrible circle you and Hasbro are making here. If you dont move and replace your old stock, hasbro wont make any more. if they dont make any more, you wont get any more. Either way, it's the collectors like me who suffer. If you are wondering why the action figure collecting public is turning to the internet to buy their figures and not your store or certainly not your site, walmart corporate heads, its because you dont carry anything  worth buying. Are you really not going to carry the new gi joe lines as well? You alone seem to be the reason that the good figures are so hard to find.

Shape up or find someone else to frequent your toy isles. I'm not inclined to waste my time there anymore.

Do they really think that they are going to move that stuff, Dan? Have they even been monitoring it?

Dan, go to your walmart right now and move all of their star wars action figures to the clearance isle, Just as a forceful suggestion. Perhaps an associate will wonder along and put a red sticker on each of em. Perhaps some stock man will make his bi-monthly rounds and noticing the empty pegs, will mark a check on his clipboard to go ahead and break out that second dusty case of phantom menace wave figures out from under the coffee pot back in the stock room.

Do they really think that they are going to move that stuff, Dan? Have they even been monitoring it?

I think I've all but given up on retail stores in my area.  Ever since they shut down the TRU closest to my home, the only store I frequented and had luck at, I can't find a thing.  (Albeit I had to do it by bike on the mornings they got truck in or else somebody would snatch up the good figs, but still, I at least found something.)  There's nothing out there anymore, whether it's at Target, ToysRus, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, etc...  Nobody touches their pegs anymore as long as there's stock sitting on them.  It sucks, and it's not like I'd prefer to go onto eBay or any other site because the good items that Hasbro should be mass-producing instead of what they've been pumpign out now just get bid on through the roof.  I don't mean to complain, but it's not like I can pay top dollar just for one fig.  I'm a kid, like Hasbro claims to be targeting, and even I'm not content with how they're managing their fig production/distribution.  Like Shawn said, it's depressing.

Is anyone else seeing their wal-mart SW Sections reset to nothing?

For me this would mean I would be in dire straits as the only SW Retails stores I have are Wally Worlds. I have to make a two hour run to get to stores like Toysrus or Target. I am already bummed because WM is not carrying the six inch line, but now they might go to no SW altogether?  :'(

Bec's store just reset their toy modular and SW is gone.  All the Sandstorm Scene wave & TCW figs are up in the the clearance area, red-tagged as d/c'd but not marked down.  Lotta Lego sets are steeply marked down - SW and older City sets.  I grabbed the last John Deere Mega-bloks set tagged at almost 50% off.

TMNT is big, wrestling is big, SW & GI Joe are gone (well, they never HAD Joes here), Marvel/Iron Man are trimmed WAY back.  Even Superman is trimmed.  Batman, untouched. (those wretched POS figs...)

Sad.  Just sad.

One of my local WM's has basically cleared out anything other than the SW light sabers.  Literally two rows for SW, but one is left for those sabers.  DTF and some Qui-Gons are still hanging on the other pegs.

The other local WM by me has a more devoted SW section and has stocked a couple cases of the 3.75" TBS line.

GI Joe is clearanced out for $7 a fig at both...

If you're still looking for the Vintage Collection TIE Fighter, which is exclusive to Walmart, you can currently find it reduced to $19 (76% off) at your local Walmart!
Some comments on JTA made me aware of this bargain and Brickseek.com helped me to find them! A friend of mine picked one up for me in Michigan. The price tag was at $59, but at checkout the actual price was $19 as shown online.

According to brickseek (and posts on JTA) they can be found for $40, $19, $10, even 8 bucks!! or as low as $2 - yes two dollars! accross the United States of America. But the lowest price at which they were actually found at stores is $10.

You can use www.brickseek.com to see exact stock of Walmart stores near you:

SKU: 891805680

Happy hunting everyone & good luck from Germany! Get your TVC TIE Fighter as long as supplies last.

Kids Warehouse sells TVC Klaatu on Walmart.com for just $5.99.
So if you still haven't gotten this brilliant figure or look for cheap custom fodder, I'd give this a go!

Not a Star Wars find but an important tool for modelers/customizing
Found this dremel 8100 in the clearance isle marked down to $45

My old cordless had bit the dust last year. This baby boasts a lithium ion battery that should last well and charge quickly plus a slide switch for operation that seems like the smoothest ever with more control over slow speeds. I have had several dremel tools over the years and this switch alone puts em all to shame
A bit bulky compared to the cheaper models but the way that slide switch works is worth the price of admission.
Includes fast charger, wrench and a small assortment of Bits for sanding/polishing

Well now, time to perhaps hit the clearance isle. Dremels are just handy for so many things. Looks like that speed control is way better than any I can recall.

Hey that's very cool! Nice find! I got mine for 49€ from Amazon in 2012. It's also wireless and thinner than many other models. If you're interested, I can make a review on such devices. Since I became a dental technician I think differently about Dremel...

This is one fine vehicle, the details and features are incredible and the design is also pretty nice! Still reminds me of a flying carrot lol

Well I had one in my cart for about two seconds and when I tried to check out they were sold out. They also released these not all at once so I didn't even have a chance to to get the other two six inch figures. I don't know why these didn't hit their site all at once? I guess maybe they wanted you to keep checking back.

I will wait to see em in stores anyhow. I am pretty sure the six inch figures will just be the realistic style releases we already have, but just in the CW Anime style packaging. Kind of like they did with the Target Fathers Day special.

Look at this tamer

I happened across this Black Friday style cardboard action alley display in a local Walmart today.
In one side, there were carded carbonized TVC Mandalorian figures for a less than respectable price. I went and had one scanned to make sure that price was marked correctly.
Around $6 higher than the TVC carded price back in the toy section.
Highway robbery, for the holidays.

Yeah those crazy carbonized figures. Not only do they look dumb, they charge more for them.

I preordered 2 orders of 3 of the stormtrooper with E-web deluxe pack. Hopefully I'll get at least one order.
The Maldo Kries mando with spiders still isn't up yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Yeah, the ole carbonized silver foil cards. They got me a few years ago when they did this, not so much now. If I see one maybe, but doubt I will get it at those inflated prices. Feeling the same way about the black series deluxe figures now.

The vintage deluxe packs did go up for pre-order yesterday. I think the Ahsoka sold out almost instantly and the spider pack wasn't working. Wal-mart online has some issues.

While we're all still waiting for the first HasLab Razor Crests to be delivered, Zavvi run a dedicated promotion to all geeks and fans out there. Living in Europe I had to buy the Crest from Zavvi.
Since the first two orders I got from them were delivered in awful condition, I haven't bought from their site since.
But I think it's extremely interesting to note that the brand new Walmart exclusives are also available to pre-order on Zavvi here in Europe. Thanks Hasbro!!

Love that Giphy, JD! I talked to a friend tonight after I had sent him the link to Zavvi. And he did not pre-order these deluxe figures mainly because he's just tired of pre-ordering. And he usually buys everything TVC at least twice. We're both waiting for the Crest to arrive. Hopefully in good condition!
He's waiting for pre-orders with a volume of about 1,500€ and is therefore tired of just throwing more and more money into the fire without getting any product.
Hasbro need to stop relying on advanced payment when they let their customers wait for up to 2 years!

Oh, and remember these days?

I don't buy EVERYTHING TVC, but I make up for it in army builders. I skip most repacks. Gladly skip the carbonized.
. I just have 3 cases from EE. Stormtrooper and Rebel army builders from Pulse. Walmart I have a few of the TCW figures, 6 of the stormtrooper deluxe, and the mando spiders.  Of course the razorcrest, i think that's all the outstanding orders I have.

I might be in the minority, but I think the new tvc figures are amazing. I gladly pay $14 for them. Every figure is like 20+ poa, hidden joints, great face paint, they just lack accessories. I don't mind paying $20 for a deluxe figure  i didn't get the deluxe ahsoka because I already have 2 in the wave 7 case, didn't want a 3rd, but the accessories are pretty cool. Btw the new stormtrooper has rocker ankles, that in my mind makes it the perfect Stormtrooper figure.

If you can believe it, I was able to order all these sets  yesterday minus the Ahsoka Set.

Now, to deal with how Wal-Mart will ship these. I think my order said these were coming the 10th as well. I think their site has some issues.

I think sometimes they also cancel pre-orders. Oh well, feels weird to actually have gotten the pre-order in. I put it on our FB Page when the Kries set went up, but by the time I got here it was already sold out.
Title: Re: Walmart

Maldo kries is back up, saying shipping Jan.20. Mine said today, but obviously it didn't ship. I don't know when they're supposed to actually ship. Typical Walmart fumblings, they don't care.
Ahsoka is still sold out, but the rest are still available.

So according to https://www.starwars.com/bring-home-the-bounty
There is a TVC  TBOBF Boba fett deluxe with rocket firing feature up for sale tomorrow, supposedly, at 1pm EST.
I already know it's going to be blink and miss. The odds of successfully acquiring this figure is  approximately 3,720:1.  Maybe the $26.99 price tag will deter some people.

*correction* this is not exclusive to Walmart.  My bad yall.
Title: Re: Walmart

Man, what can they think up to charge more for a regular figure?

Well I'm the one who's always complaining about not getting accessories, so put my money where my mouth is. The accessories are okay, the headsculpt looks really great. The flame effects are cool. The stormtrooper helmets, I don't really feel the need for. I can dremmel them out to swap with stormtrooper, for an alternate bashed in head.

I have two theories as to why this Fett and the tbs fett are so high. One, its a one off figure sculpt that will probably never be used again. So they have to make some money on it.
Second theory is maybe Tameura Morrison gets royalties for using his likeness. Maybe he has a special contract. Those are just theories, trying to wrap my head around why they cost so much more.

There is a TVC  TBOBF Boba fett deluxe with rocket firing feature (...)

I wish it was, but I suppose it's just a removable missile like for the VC34 Jango Fett:

Title: Re: Walmart

No its not rocket firing. Initially when it was on Star Wars. Com it gave no details only a small thumbnail. I had to assess what it was. If you zoom in real close it says removable in several languages. Not firing.
They spring this stuff on you, a day before it goes on sale, and they don't give you any description.  So my initial posting has many errors.

Thanks for the good advice, JD. I'll see if I buy the so called deluxe Boba...but I can hardly imagine that Hasbro won't release him with a regular VC number when he's the main character of (T)BOBF. Fortunately, we're not on JTA here where every syllable is weighed and loaded with (negative) emotions. So don't worry about your first assumptions when no fuc.. information was given by Disney/Hasbro.

Yeah I dont know what's up with boba fett, and why he costs so much. It costs the same as the Maldo Kries mandalorian pack, and you get a big spider two little spiders and an egg, with a slight repaint, maybe a slight retooled mando and baby yoda. Boba fett should be at the $20 mark like the WM exclusives  especially if it's going to be carded, which it may not be, I don't know.
I know Fennec Shand is coming in the wave 37, 2 in a case, so i didn't get a third.
Yeah I haven't gone on JTA in a long time  they don't serve my kind. They're pretty much obsolete and irrelevant now.

Mine was packaged the same, but luckily it didn't get crushed. My brother works for usps, he always says, pack it as if you're going to throw it down a flight of stairs. I remember in high-school we did the egg drop challenge, where you construct a device that protects an egg from being dropped 20 ft. That's how you gotta do it.  They should go back to high-school.
