I have been wondering what was up with those two Mandos. Like the leg holsters. I would say I hope you don't tear too much apart on that ship build. I like the looks of it. Back on the front page.

Looks spot on Devin. You are gonna have to start a vehicle thread!

I guess I probably should separate this out into a vehicle thread, check in the vehicles section for further updates!

Pretty cool.  I love that old "micro" Imp Shuttle---what was it? Tyco, Tomy?---used for the cockpit.  I still have that sucker, though my son's got his hands on it now!

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

these are action fleet, not 1:18th scale.  Micro-machines by galoob then later hasbro.  Look for further updates on this in a new vehicle thread in the vehicles section.

Galoob!  I knew it was one of those companies but couldn't remember which one.  My son has my old one and it still had the Han Solo and Chewbacca---each one no larger than your thumbnail---which is surprising that it withstood my childhood.

Also wanted to give two huge thumbs up to Bo-Katan and Viszla.   The Vizsla in particular looks fantastic: still maintains the CW look but clearly better under the realistic style than the cartoonish figures of him.  Both turned out great!

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

current work in progress:

Iron man's deep space armor, or gemini, which will be seen in the upcoming IM3

concept art and preview still shot of this armor:

and the crappy assembler's toy:

Now... not only are the assemblers line of iron man figures a discrace of plastic and do not be deserved to be called "action figures".  (hell, it looks like it came from a happy meal), but the deep space armor doesn't even match up well with the movie armor!

so... I thought this would be a pretty simple one to build on my own.  Test out my sculpting abilities, and do some learning along the way...

here's the WIP shots I've got done so far:

paint:

It's not fantastic.... my sculpting isn't amazing. But it looks better than the assemblers figure IMO. lol.  I hope to get a few coats of the white on the figure without it looking too thick, white is a pain in the rear to paint  we'll see how it turns out with all the details painted.  I'm pretty sure I can hide some of my sculpting mistakes with the paintwork too.

I think the correct term for "what that is" (that being the whole assemblers line) is "CRAP"....

Are we all agreed then........spuda's IM3 rocks - hasbro = crocks.
Looks so cheap, tacky, surely someone at hasbro knows how to use a paintbrush?
