you obviously have some great fodder to play around with to make awsome looking customs.

I always love watching your vids, Devin. You are a natural at it.
A good rule of thumb when mixing paint is to make the hue slightly lighter than the color you are trying to match as most paints darken a bit when curing.

You use turpentine to thin acrylic paint? How does it do?

It does great for cleaning the brush out.  But i use water or clear paint if im thinning the paint

Hey so this is a bit off topic, but I found out last night that boil and pop does not work with the older style figures. i.e. The older Republic comandos with the POFT style legs. Any tips?

Figures like old rep. Comando that have hard plastic torsos can not be boiled and popped.  Look at my gi-joe figure takedown tutorial on youtube.  The process is nearly identical.  Its much more dificult, and dangerous though...

I think the next figure to get the tutorial treatment will be a comic pack shadow scout. This is one of the older style star wars figures that has the "clam shell" hard plastic chests/torsos so it will be a very different construction process.  and it will answer some of the questions like what AFE had about non-boilable (I made up a new term...) figures.

unfortunately... the tutorial will have to wait until I get my smuggler figures finished, and possibly a few more christmas figures done.

The last figure in the Romantically Apocalyptic series I was doing:

The engineer:
wip:

and I took the time to re-create some of my favorite pannels from the comic:
