Imperial Radio
« on: October 06, 2009, 07:47:06 PM »
What's currently on your dial,,

I was thinking about sharring my playlist on playlist.com

I was just curious to what is on everyone elses "radio" dial

Right now I am listening to a band some may have never heard of but maybe Darth Aussie has.

Juke Cartel, (Toby Rand) doing Solsbury Hill.

Personally I have a wide range of musical tastes from Rammstein to 50's 60's some classical scores. Most anything but Rap and old country and western

Currently I'm a talk radio junkie.. I listen to KNEW 910 AM. (They have a live stream you can listen to if you like. ) Mostly it's Armstrong and Getty in the morning and Mike Savage in the afternoon (for laughs).

If I do listen to music in the car it's Bowling for Soup, Fallout Boy and various electronica.

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

I switched mine up now, a little Storm and the Balls,  goofy but funny

Nightwish, Rammstein, ACDC, Def Leppard, DragonForce, Eagles

That was the main components of the last two play-lists, anyway.

I'll take Willie Nelson over Big & Rich any day (get yer rap outta my country!)

Mine vary upon my mood. From Bach to  Metallica. Otep to Rollins Band. I'm all  the place. I won't listen to Rap, Hip/hop (trip/flop), or country and western.

I really like hannity, he's very cool.  Rush, well, he's a local boy made good, so I support him, but he's becoming more howard stern wears a tie, as of late.

I can't stand the no spin guy, "you're entering the no spin zone. . ."  Right.

And Glenn "I'm a prophet of armageddon" Beck, a joke.

I try to listen to a lot of conservative radio, to balance out all the NPR nonsense they put in on science friday and what not, :)

I love NPR and Sirius is growing on me.

If it's the radio, it's classic rock for me most of the time.

If it's a cd, I'm going through
My metal years again and have recently been jamming on Maiden, Metallica, Megadeath, anthrax,Dio, stuff like that.

If I get a wild hair, I might pull out the Blues Brothers or even Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes. Just depends.

Basically just Classic Rock for me, unless it's a good band from today like Nickelback.  I mostly listen to my iPod, though, which to is filled with Rock.

If I'm listening to the radio, it's Alternative.  I'll listen to just about anything EXCEPT Country.  Seriously, sober up, get a job, buy a new dog, and stop humping your sister.  I do, however, concede to being a big fan of Johnny Cash.  On my iPod/iPhone, right now are most of the songs from The Hangover, along with some other songs all over the spectrum.

I hardly listen to the radio. On my way to work I listen to CDs and on the way back home too. At home I occasionally tune in to KinkFM (www.kinkfm.com) a Dutch alternative radio station. Contrary to 3FM, the national goliath of radio stations, KinkFM does not solely play mainstream crap.

I like a whole lot of musical styles, bands, artists. Sepultura, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Robert Johnson, Propellorheads, Hendrix, Biohazard, Dick Dale, Joss Stone, Fear Factory, Isaac Hayes, BB King, Faithless, etc. etc.

Still very much into heavy metal and the likes, but my guitar teacher broadened my horizon big time. But I just can't get into rap, hip/hop nowadays. Run DMC, Public Enemy Grandmaster Flash, I like that, but that new stuff? Nah.... Heck, I even like country a bit. There's a couple of songs on the Devil's Rejects soundtrack that are pretty cool!

I'm into alternative rock. Rap is crap. The closest to rap I listen to is the Beastie Boys. They are my favorite, along with Everclear. I also listen to Green Day (up to, including American Idiot), The Offspring, and "Weird" Al Yankovic to name a few.

I also recently got into Andrew W.K. All his songs sound the same, but damn they are awesome. Especially his song "Ready to Die". I've never heard a song about death with such a happy theme to it lol.

In the car I usually tune in on a news channel and see what's going on in the world.
At work our IT guys let us use internet radio. My site is www.lastfm.de where you can choose all sorts of music channels. Right now there's Lynn Anderson's "Rose Garden" playing on the Country Tag Channel.
Since I'm not at work at this time of the day, I also have lastfm on at home. Hey, they just switched to Patsy Cline "Love Letters".
My other channels are A capella, Swing, Bigband and Military.
