spuda's Dreadnoks
« on: July 23, 2010, 06:39:18 AM »
I'm giving this it's own thread because it's such a big project.... it's 6 customs combined into a 3 man cobra motorcycle gang....  here is the backstory:

Dreadnoks and their moto-bats

the dreadnoks were a ruthless, albeit disorganized and dim-witted, band of thugs for hire who had no real direction before the terrorist organization COBRA took them in...

Each Dreadnok member had a terrible love for killing their enemies with weapons that made them suffer... usually using tools and weapons in ways that they were never intended.
For instance Dreadnok Ripper uses the "jaws of life" to rip his foe to pieces...
Torch, a bit of a pyromaniac, uses a flamethrower to burn his victims...
and Buzzer uses the ever elegant chainsaw...

So naturally when cobra scientists began testing a new form of Battle Android Trooper that could be disguised as various forms of vehicles they chose the (expendable) dreadnoks as their guinei pigs.

Cobra Scientists used the aspects of the biker gang to forge their ideas into reality. Each new Battle Android Trooper was to be given traits suited to their "owner" and would follow the dreadnok's commands to the letter.
Since the dreadnoks favored motorcycles as their primary mode of transportation the cobra scientists used that vehicle as their base.

And thus the "M.o.t.o.-B.A.T." was born.

Thanks.  I kind of have been making it up as I go along.  I've been wanting to do what alot of others have done and compile my ideas into an established "verse" and call it my own "joe verse"...  basically my ideas for it string together and and all customs that are modern day earth storylines.

so I basically have two schools of thought customs wise;  one being a star wars verse; the other being an "earth verse"

my "earth verse" strings together marvel, dc, gi-joe, modern military, transformers, etc into a single continuous story line.

for example cobra obtains iron man tech through hammer industries to build the "hammer bat"
Cobra obtains transformer's technology to build transforming BATS
Iron man and the avengers team up with the Gi-joes to battle the ever increasing cobra threat....

eventually (I hope) to construct a few transforming 1:18th scale transformers in joe and cobra vehicles to go along into this verse too... my dream is a giant megatron battle tank for cobra...
Inspired by the "rolling thunder" optimus that has been around on the net for a while by another collector.   It'd be a huge project but I want to attempt it eventually.

Looks great well done.

Ron

thanks!  everyone,  I realy enjoy the feedback.

I have two more in the works for this trio.  I need to finish the chainsaw blade for Buzzer's bat and then I need to make one for ripper...

I'm taking suggestions for Ripper's BAT robot's accessories.    Ripper's main weapon is the jaws of life and a rifle with a large bayonette blade.  What I thought I'd do is make the spikes on the front of his bike more pronounces as well as add large bladed weapons on the hands and legs of the robot once it transforms.... what do you guys think?  any ideas?

Lookin good Devin. I love all these crossovers that you do. Those bikes look perfect to use for these guys and then they transform into BAT's to do some major damage. On the front page.

I wish you weren't so quick to throw this up there.... but oh well.  I'm posting the other two and the three together here in a little bit.
