It will be a hard project for me, because I don't have all the right tools, but this AT-AT build has started....

More to come...

This seems like a very cool project!

Very Cool!! can't wait to see the finished AT-AT!!!

Nice.
Wood is a great medium. I cant wait to watch this build progress.
Beg or borrow those tools and good luck.
3.75 scale?

3.75 scale?
No actual scale... just trying to make something good looking ;)

Yesterday started constructing the "head" of the AT-AT...
some parts still need to be attached together... I'm going to try to paint the missing shape detail like the round curves on the side where the guns will be attached to.

Top comes off and there will be space for three drivers.

And finaly the bottom with some small detail. The bottom will stay open like this so it is easy accesable for small four year old hands

Update/teaser:
The last few days I did not had to much time to keep #Buildingtoysformyson, but every day I did a little bit of work on the AT-AT project.
By now the AT-AT is almost completely build. Only some minor details. The first paint layers are already aplied to the "little dog" (my son calles it so) and I,m hoping to finish it all this weekend.
Here is a teaser pic taken from the already fully painted "belly"

Another small detail I have been constructing is a small inner part that my son asked for: a boardcannon! This one in the picture is demolished already because I made it to perfect... after painting it, the spare millimeters that I left over for moving were taken by the paint so there was no more movement left :-\ There has been a new build already, but that one I will show you when the project is done!

Nice, you will have to do up a Veers now too! I really like this wooden SW line you have created.

Just awesome work.

He looks good in here and even better on the front page.

This is GREAT! I love that you have your own style to the aesthetics of the AT, it totally communicates the shapes while keeping your style intact. Honestly, it looks like it'd be an awesome toyline, in the vein of the POP Vinyl stuff..
