Sideshow announces Sixth Scale AT-AT Driver!
I logged into Facebook and saw my pal Dayton had posted this above image on my page and needless to say I think I hollered so loud they could hear me on the West Coast. He saw it posted by our good friend Jayson at Yakface.com (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2015/07/02/sideshow-previews-16-scale-at-at-driver/) and perhaps we can figure out a joint review when this one comes in. Needless to say I am pretty excited for more images as well as the pre-order information. Look for us to shout that from the heavens when they do start taking orders. Till then check out the preview materials (http://affiliates.sideshowtoy.com/Tracker.aspx?aid=1729&href=http%3a%2f%2fwww.sideshowtoy.com%2fwhats-new%2fimperial-at-at-driver-sixth-scale-figure%2f) directly from Sideshow. What a great day!

Sideshow releases new images of their Sixth Scale AT-AT Driver!
"Suited for cold climate battle, the AT-AT driver comes fitted in a standard-issue uniform, featuring a streamlined helmet connected by pressurized hoses to a life support system, and glossy white armor over a pristine grey flight suit.
Interchangeable driving gauntlets feature a com-link and allow dexterity for handling AT-AT controls, while positive gravity pressure boots keep him grounded in all situations.
Although typically found in the cockpit, Sideshow’s Exclusive Imperial AT-AT driver (http://affiliates.sideshowtoy.com/Tracker.aspx?aid=1729&href=http%3a%2f%2fwww.sideshowtoy.com%2fcollectibles%2fstar-wars-imperial-at-at-driver-sideshow-collectibles-1001241%2f) also comes armed with a vintage inspired rifle blaster (shown below) – a nostalgic feature Star Wars collectors are sure to enjoy.
Ready to serve the Galactic Empire with honor and distinction, the Imperial AT-AT driver will be an exceptional addition to any Star Wars Hoth or military collection!
Both the regular and Exclusive editions of the Imperial AT-AT Driver Sixth Scale Figure will be priced at $209.99, with optional payment plans available. Pre-orders begin this Thursday, October 15th.

Though besides the ear cones that shouldn't be there, e's missing the forehead knob greeblie:

Serg, I figured you would give this the once over and pick out a couple of things. I cannot wait to order this tomorrow!
-
No matter the small accuracy issues, I will be getting this figure too. Though from a local dealer. :)
-
The pre-order is now up folks!

Oh yes, I got my exclusive order in!
-
Pre-ordered my figure too.

Pre-ordered my figure too.
Figured you would have one. I bet you are already planning on how you are gonna tweak those small inaccuracies you noted the other day. Please let us know what you come up with.
-
Need to find out a small pin to glue on the forehead. We'll see when the figure arrives. :)

I hear you, that is pretty glaring if you ask me. Was kinda hoping they would make a fix before they ship em.
-
Indeed. GG, Marmit and Tomy all have this forehead "pimple" there, GG mini-bust wasn't painted silver - I did it myself in 10 seconds.
But they all have it.
-
Serg, I think I am gonna see if I can get hold of someone in Sideshow and ask why no pimple!
-
That would be good, try showing them some pics too. Ask about the cones in the ears too - I know it comes with the TIE Pilot, and it is accurate (in 1/6) for the TIE Pilot, but there are no greeblies like this on the AT-AT Driver.
-
Will do, was dealing with some site issues today, but this is tops on my to do list.

SSC AT-AT Driver review:
Not a bad youtube review, the figure is very cool, but I hate the bright light and over-exposing. Something that made the real suit be confused with white instead of gray years ago too.
And I think I contributed to the adding of the silver "pimple" greeblie on the forehead since I talked to Jason Eaton (who painted the prototype for SSC), and he didn't realize this small greeblie was missing till I told him. He then said will mention this to SSC to add it on the helmet, and seems they indeed added the forehead knob in the end.
Cannot wait for my AT-AT figure to come :)
-
I am looking forward to getting mine too. I will give this review a watch today.
-
The helmet has been changed from the proto, some accuracy being lost. Still cool though
-
Kinda figured it might be a bit different, but still excited to get it. Might have to get two. Still hoping to see Hot Toys is gonna come out with one.
-
Maybe HT will make him too in the future, but the SSC one looks pretty good on his own.
BTW this forum section maybe should be named Sideshow & Hot Toys now. ;)
-
LOL. Maybe it should!
Got my email they are getting ready to process my order here in a few weeks, I am so stoked to get this!
