Title: PENNSYLVANIA
Post by: UnitedStatesDemocrat on August 17, 2009, 09:08:03 AM
Seeing as I haven't met anyone yet from Pennsylvania on here, I should at least show you guys what's available here in PA.  Seeing McMetal's schedule, I suppose I should post when I go, too.  I regularly go Friday or Saturday, but that's winding down as school aproaches.  I will at least stop over there to take some pictures of the inventory.  Here at TRU, they have a whole isle dedicated to Star Wars.  Hope you enjoy.

That's awesome your TRU has a whole aisle! Down here it's more like 1/2 an aisle, most of which is cluttered with lightsabres gathering dust.

Whereabouts in PA are you? I lived in Lancaster for almost 4 years...good times.

You know, a few people believe this is fake.  It is strange.  But yes, that is my hometown.

I have been to Mechanicsburg before. Isn't there a big auto auction up there somewhere? Might be thinking about Manhiem.

That might be in Manheim or Carlisle, but I doubt it is here.

Just yesterday, I ran to two of the stores that sell Star Wars items.  In all the hurry, I forgot my camera.  When I arrived at home, I couldn't find my camera, so I assume it is either in one of my homes, in my dad's truck, or somewhere else ???.  I will try and remember to take a notepad along so I can give you guys an idea of what they have here.  Genrally, it's just average Legacy figures.  As it goes for Clone Wars, I have seen few Clone Troopers at Wal-mart, but Toys-R-Us has a variety of different types of clones.  I might become desperate and pick up a figure at the mall, seeing as it only has plain white troopers.

Since school starts Monday, it looks as though I might not get that trip to TRU in, but I'm going to try.

Unless I go tomorrow by bike, I might not make it to that Toysrus.  I'll try, though.

Guys, I am glad you are trying to meet, but please follow a little internet saftey and pm eachother as this forum is open for all folks to read. There are lots of wierdos around the web and we try to protect our own, but this is a public view forum and I would not like any wierdoes to figure out where you guys live exactly! Remember, never give your real name, phone number, address, personal info., etc. to the general public and never give your age if you are under 18!

I here you Tamer.  By the way Greg, the figures were mostly characters from Jabba's palace.  Nothing much.  I did catch some other finds which you can read about in the Wal-Mart thread.

Pennsylvania for the month of October has been average, especially with Toysrus.

I visited a Wal-Mart last night.  While they appeared to have most of the figures, upon closer inspection the battle packs were all Rebel Pilots Series Three and Imperial Pilots Series Two.  The Comic Packs consisted of the Lieutenant Sunber and Amanin pack and the Grand Admiral Thrawn Pack.  The figures were basic, while boasting a Gree that was not on hand.  The ships consisted of a few ARC-17o's and Droid Starfighters.  They also had a few Transformer's for Star Wars and Titanium Diecast Vehicles.

Yesterday, during my stop at Toysrus, the figures that I haven't seen before were finally filled on the shelves.  As well, the isle was filled with bystanders gazing at the products.  I was pretty happy, but when I saw a Gree that happiness faded as I only brought enough for the AT-TE.  I figure I can find it somewhere else if I look.

I haven't checked a Toysrus currently for the month of November, so I will try and get a report in soon.

My apologies, I forgot to file the report for Friday.  The Gree wave finally arrived here, along with the prestigious Clone Cash.  The collector's tin, with Dooku, Ventress, Rex, and I think Kenobi, arrived there as well, with a few ships.  The legacy figures were the early waves.  That is about it as it goes for figures.

Yikes, that stuff is JUST now hitting up there? Do you ever make runs to Philly? Seems like they get a lot of new stuff there. That collector's tin has literally been out for months down here in VA. Sucks you have to wait so long!

Philly?  I've only been down there once that I can remember besides the numerous times I've gone with my dad when I was little.  The teachers didn't ban going shopping, so our chaperone said we could visit the Independence Mall.  They might of have a toy store on one of, I think it was five, levels, but I was only on the first in one of the gift shops.  Of course that was the inner-city, around Independence Hall.

I guess I should have acted on that lone Gree that I had seen the two other days.  As I expected, all the latest figures that were in stock the other day were completely bought out.  Ah well, I'm sure I'll see some more.

Well, my brother is probably going to Monday Night Raw for WWE, but I don't really like it compared to how I used to, so I might go to Philly instead.  I'll be sure to look for SW figures.

I stopped by my local Toyrus today, but due to the holidays, the figures were depleted with only one or two figures on a hook.  I was thinking about picking up a Rex, which I was extremely surprised to see, but decided not to.

For the citizens of Pennsylvania, I find that Walmart has done no restocking whatsoever recently.  However, TRU is doing well, and I find it best to call ahead, see when they're restocking, and arrive on that day.  It allows you to get figures such as Pre Vizsla!

That same principle of "calling ahead to see when they restock" worked again.  I scored Captain Fordo, alongside a Wolffe, both of which are first-sightings for me.   :D

I am also in PA, near Philadelphia, and have been to the Mechanicsburg area several times.  I don't get to the stores that often, though, so I don't have anything to add as far as what's on the shelves.  Just thought I'd say hello.

Ah, very cool!  It'll be cool to see if what's true here in Central PA is true southeast, if you ever report on findings from stores...
