Ive just realised I never actually said 'hello'! LOL!
Typical Brit just turns up and starts posting all over the place! LOL!
Hi Im Adam Bear, but most of you will know me by now as ShamanLogRay or SLR!
So who am I? Well thats a long story! LOL!
Im a 45 year old, single, male, I was born in Cornwall and now live in Norwich, I work for the Local Council and spend most of my time dealing with Anti Social Behaviour (ASB), especially loud drunken parties upsetting the neighbours, so I spend a lot of my time dealing with the less pleasant side of British Society and trying to resolve neighbour issues. So I like to relax from the stress by being artistic.
Although Ive always been a Star Wars fan, its the making of things that I enjoy the most and wouldnt consider myself a Collector, the figures I have are simply there because they help to bring my creations to life, I am also very biased towards the look of the Imperial figures, Im not overly inspired by the Rebels Im afraid! LOL! Hence, why you can never have enough Death Stars! LOL!
The making of Star Wars Dioramas is a farily new thing to me, I only started in 2011, up till then I was involved in other Creative activiites, mainly influenced by growing up in Cornwall surrounded by Ancient Mystical Sites I was drawn into Neo Paganism and studied various aspects of this for many years, it also encouraged me to be creative and I ended up making and selling hundreds of Ritual Tools such as Wands, Staffs, Smudge Fans and a lot of other similiar things.
A few years ago I decided I wanted a complete change, so I wrote a book called 'Shamanic Links' as my swansong to that aspect of my life and was lucky enough to get it published ( its available on Amazon etc, if anyone is curious enough to look it up! LOL!) and decided I would start making things that were simply fun, hence why my signature is 'just for fun' and it also explains my Avatar being Ewok Medicine Man Log Ray, Im called Bear and I was into Shamanism, so he seemed a fairly appropriate little chap to represent me! LOL!
Anyway, thats basically who I am and I must say I have been on several of these types of Forums but this is by far my favourite and I have found my experience here very inspiring, encouraging and friendly and not the least bit Geeky and look forward to continuing with this sort of creativity for a long time yet!
