The Moldy Crow has always been one of my favorite Star Wars designs since I first saw it in Dark Forces as a kid. I even tried to make my own out of cardboard and packing tape back then. It was an absolute monstrosity. This, I’d say is a giant step up. So far, I’ve got everything assembled and put the beige base down. Then I hit the engines and underside with a bit of matte black. But the rust wash had made this thing pop even better than I imagined! I’m planning on trying to add detail to the interior and will be adding the red stripes next. I’m very happy so far, though!

That is really looking brilliant. I agree with you, I've always liked the design of the ship, but I always hated the name! I look forward to seeing this when finished!

Weathering is continuing this morning!

Wow this is fantastic. Let me get some of this on the front page.
It is looking fantastic!

Just a few more steps! I didn’t like the 3D printed chairs provided, so I took extra BMF gunner seats and added them. I want more details inside and I’m considering putting in clear plastic for the windows, but so far so good!

Excellent! I would love to work on a kit like this!

The finished product! When I was a kid, I was obsessed with The Moldy Crow once I saw it in Star Wars Dark Forces. I remember making my own version of it out of cardboard just so I could have one. (It lasted about an hour before falling apart.)
Knowing how deep a cut that vehicle was, there was never any hope that I’d see one produced by Hasbro. Well, now 3D Printing is a thing. I poured about a month of work into assembling, painting and detailing the ever living crap out of this thing and a childhood dream is realized.
I never imagined I’d be able to make something this impressive and I am so happy with how it turned out. This is now the crown jewel of my Star Wars collection.
Also, I was told by the guy from Seinar that he’s going to be resin printing windows as some point and will be hooking people who already bought from him with a set! The one thing I was missing!
