I had a thread for New Clone Wars pics and figured that I should start one for the Legacy line.
Got these shots, today, from rebelscum.com, that are from a new upcoming wave of Legacy figures. These were my favorite two of the ones that were shown.

Sleg shall be mine! (and prolly in industrial quantities, too... ;D)

Sleg shall be mine! (and prolly in industrial quantities, too... ;D)
Yep, Sleg does look pretty cool to me, also. That chest armor piece looks removable to me. What do you think, Doc?
-
Looks like it from here!! ;D
-
Very nice figures can't wait to get them!
-
Same here..... ;D
-
I dunno if this is the exact right thread or not, but it was close!
-
Needa looks good and I like that control ;panel.
-
LOL. Close enough Doc. I do like the control screen they give you with the Ugnaught. I could see a mold of this one getting made.
-
Tamer, ya think?? ;D
Actually, Needa had some major issues. His right ankle was not installed correctly, so it sits cocked out oddly. His ankle joints were made using plastic that is the gray of his uniform, not the black of his boots. The line of his (removable) cap is not even. There was fleshtone paint slopped onto his uniform collar.
However, maybe that was just on my one fig. I'll look at others next time I'm around them.
On the positive side! His rank insignia and left-breast code cylinders are not part of the sculpt - they are a separate piece. The pocket on his right breast is molded to where it would look like it had a code-cylinder in it if there was a silver piece on top of it. IMO - and just mho - we'll see this body used again in the future for other officers! It would be easy enough to do, for sure.
*facepalm* I wonder if it is the body from the Lt. Juntland comic pack... be right back...
-
Nice description on that one. You guys know that you can submit reviews to the Hasbro toy review thread as well, right? It's not going to hurt my feelings.
-
I wonder how Needa would look with a Veers Dress up?

I wonder how Needa would look with a Veers Dress up?
I will look for Needa at Branson, this weekend, and then, we shall see. Or, were you talking about a veers paint dress up like yours is getting?
-
nope just a regular dress up in gray.
-
I was thinking a Veers dress-up in armor... >:D
-
We can do that. Lickety split-like. As soon as I find a needa.
-
I think Needa would have turned out alot better if they'd have gave him Janek Sunber's legs! Hopefully when they get to Piett and the others they do!
-
thanks to rebelscum for these images

I like the look of those BAD parts. I may have to pick up this whole line.
Not shown, bespin security guard, luke snowspeeder pilot, and the ice cream man."what was his name?'
-
All are great looking figs...but did anyone else notice that 3 of the 4 figs seem to come with the same BAD left leg of an HK or YVHK droid?
I will probably get all 4 but would just wonder about the BAD parts released with each.
The concept Snowie looks like a SW/Samurai cross... and finally an ATAT Driver with real articulation. Pretty cool looking R2, but I cant place where it is from off the top of my head.
Zuckuss is one of my favorite loser second tier characters from lots of the comics and EU novels as well and I look forward to getting my hands on a better articulated version also.
All solid buys for me.
-
Oh yeah, one of each from this wave please with multiple drivers!
-
Where's my Rumsleg? :-[
-
found these two images of some upcoming figures over at rebelscum.com
How about this phase 1 darktrooper and the new space trooper?

I see ... piecesparts! I see a Mando vibrogaunt in the making!
-
Is that darktrooper a droid?
-
It's just too damn bad Hasbro focuses so much on creating new figures without putting ANY effort into making sure they actually get out into stores where they can be purchased.
Seriously - GET THE TPM WAVE OUT ALREADY!!!
I am sick to death of going from store to store looking for my #&@$* Rumsleg - why is it so hard to distribute the product?
Ugh, rant over. I am beyond exasperated with the utter lack of new toys lately...
-
My wife's store has full pegs of the Basic/Saga Legacy figs (old pkging) but very little new stuff coming in. She talked to the person in charge of toys and was told restock ain't gappenin' because figs aren't moving. Well, I can help them out there and explain it - when half your figs are CW C-3po & IG-86 & Legacy Ak Rev and Yarna dal'sixtits, NO you aren't gonna move figs! The NEW waves, of which they stocked 2 boxes - FLASHED thru the store. I helped. Seriously, they went from peg to GONE in under 2 weeks. Distribution is not Hasbro's fault - the stores are slow to restock because they got stuck with a load of crap figs no one wants - and that IS Hasbro's fault.Plus, I think the toy depts don't fully understand how Hasbro releases new waves of new figures that people WILL buy and buy in a hurry. I've not seen ANY of the HK BAD wave at my two local WalMarts - prolly because they are still overstocked with Yarna's and IG-86's. Heck, you'd have trouble moving those on ebay for a buck!
-
I don't know about your wife's store, but I do know most major retailers do not order individually from their own store...a corporate buyer does. They look at past orders and sales rates at different markets and order based on that. A person with usually NO clue what they're ordering orders for the entire chain and we're stuck with it all! I once ordered an entire case of figures from Entertainment Earth, the Force Unleashed wave, and was never happier. Perhaps we should start doing that as a group...
-
Yeah, points taken, I know it is a complex issue, but to me, it's a broken system that needs to be fixed.
I see no reason why they cannot adopt the business model of the DVD. Those things have hard release dates and I always know I can walk into a Target, Walmart, etc and buy one the day it is scheduled to be released. I'm sure they don't sell out of every single DVD every week! So obviously they are able to manage their flow of inventory so they don't get drowned in backstock. Why can't they do this with toys?
And also, with DVD's EVERY STORE GETS THE SAME ONES. You don't have to drive to 10 different stores to find the one you want. AND they order more than single pack cases of each DVD, because you know, MORE THAN ONE PERSON might actually want one.
I swear, it would revolutionize the whole pasttime for collectors.

McMetal, that's why EE and such do a grand business. Phatty, you might be right...
/me files for a business license as "Imperial Shipyards Personnel Office, a toy store" and launches a smashingly successful members-only toy-club

Meh...they also rape you on the shipping and handling, they often get new product AFTER the brick and mortars, and I don't need the headaches from my wife screaming "WHY ARE YOU BUYING MORE TOYS?!?!" when the package arrives in the mail. It's just not an ideal solution for me.
Hasbro should simply open their OWN retail store, a real one, not some online junk.
-
will never happen....... :(
-
I have often thought it would be a good idea for Lucas to open a star wars store. Kind of like how the wife always has to go in the Disney store when we are close to one, you know I would be making stops at the star wars store.

Gee sounds like the shops we go to.... ;)
-
Good arguments guys. I don't know about EE though, at least they send you what you order and sent it momc or they take it back and pay the postage. I have never had a bad deal with em. I know one thing I might be in on any idea to mass order figures from EE, perhaps we could even get a discount if enough of us ordered too. I know I want at least on the new ESB waves and multiples of that atat driver.
That being said, that new spacetrooper sure looks more like the dark trooper than the dark trooper if you know what I mean.
-
Well, I am officially off the Hunt.
I finally found my Rumsleg today, and now I am at peace with the universe.
I'm not stepping in another store until I see confirmation that CW Wave 9 has hit. No hurry!
What a great feeling!
-
Sweet! I scored a Rum this week and found a second, but let him pass for now. I need to open mine up and see what I can do with him... I think I'll need several.
-
Yeah, I've seen 1 or 2 since and passed. I planned to open mine right away but for some reason have found myself reluctant to do so. I guess I may as well, since I have no new toys to look forward to anytime soon apparently.
Over 1 week now with no new stuff...too long for me!
-
Hey Im one of the new guys to star wars thing and i got to say im realy looking forward to all the new waves
may the force be with you
-
Hey Clonefelks, welcome to the shipyards!
-
Just trying to put some life into this thread. Maybe not the most appropriate place for my post; but I was able to order most of the latest ANH wave from HasbroToyShop last night. If you order through them, remember the promotional code SW2010 is still good for saving 10%. Plus, if you order enough figures your shipping charges can actually average out to make the cost per figure very close (if not less) that what you might find at retail.
-
I have to admit it's pretty dead on new stuff of late in my neck of the woods, and I have been looking constantly and just seem to be coming up empty handed.
On the plus side our Walmart has figures for 6.00 dollars a pop, I think it's nation wide in America, I could be wrong but I have heard other areas getting the 6.00 dollar price as well, also something else to look out for is the 2 packs and they only cost 7.46 from Walmart as well, I don't know if this is going to be nation wide or just select areas - anycase I hope this helps someone out.
-
Yep, I saw the new $6.00 price in my area today, a few bucks here and a few bucks there adds up.
-
Has anyone seen the SW Legacy(storm helmet package) bonus packs at their Walmarts? Anyone know if there's any Boba or Jangos in the packs?
-
I have not seen these personally yet, but they hadnt released the Evolutions versions of either of the Fetts in blue packaging....
so I would think no, but that wont stop me from checking the first chance I get...
-
Are these battle driods part of any new legacy collection? or did I just miss them? Are they from the CW series?
I've never seen them before..

-
They look like legacy figures to me buy like you, I have never seen these before.
-
ther comic pack ig 97s i think and we got nothing over in here we only got wave with stass allie and bail and breha and the jawa and arfies and i think ther was a rocket battle droid
-
Yup Wattoh is right a little bit more on this it's a Walmart Exclusive Comic Pack it's going to have Rom Mohc in, and its taken from a Star Wars Tales story, hope this helps.
I presume Tunghori has these listed, I want the Walmart second Rogue Squadron Pack with Dllr Nep and Plour Illo, also theres another one General Weir and Storm Commando.
-

Joe that's the ones I was referring to going for 7.46 (last I checked), the only thing is I am not sure what they have in it I know it's pretty varied, and they may have them, but I think it will be more like Jodo Kast than any decent Boba Fett or Jango Fett, but I could be wrong.

I clicked on this button at the top: (http://www.imperialshipyards.net/SMF/Themes/Blue_Roses/images/bbc/img.gif)
after right clicking on the eBay image and getting the properties (it will show the location path of the image) in which you then paste them between the img tags that are in your post.
-
those silly droids are from a Walmart comic pack that's supposed to have been out already. I think its packed with an Imperial officer also only seen in that or at least that one storyline.
-
thanks stenhunter :)
-
IG97 and another random Imp
-
Oh, that's right. I even wonder if my walmart is going to stock these comic packs? I havent seen a new comic pack in some time.
-
IG97 and another random Imp
He ain't a random Imp, he is General Rom Mohc the guy who was in command of the Dark Trooper Project.
As for the other pack with the Storm Commando and General Weir, that one is from X-Wing Rogue Leader Comic.

oh okay
I didn't know that. I LOVE the look of the Phase I and Phase III Dark Troopers but I really don't know much about them and nothing at all about the history of their creation.
-
Night Force if your interested to know more, read this.

And this.

Hope this helps you.
-
I'd be very interested in the Storm Commando/General Weir pack. I forgot all about those, and haven't even seen any of the newest ones yet, so I don't have much hope of seeing these.
-
Phatty that makes two of us, I haven't even seen the Kyle and Darth Krayt out in the wild, and any new figures past the first ESB wave this year.
It's been pretty dire down in my neck of the woods.
Although I have been told that new stock is waiting at the warehouse just there isn't any room on the shelves for the new stuff, I am hoping Christmas and the 6.00 dollars will move stuff along quickly although I severely doubt seeing it is real old stock or legends stock or clone wars stock.
-
im hoping to build on my imp oficers and rom mohc is great to customis give him a long beard burnt face black suit he is now leitenant harkan
-
These figures just started showing up in stores near me. There's so much great stuff coming out this year, but so little money to spend on it :(
