I'm building a Drink Dispenser for my friend at RS for his cantina table. Hope you guy/gals like the production pics...

Here's what it looks like with a figure. Also, my messy room...
-
Looks good so far. What materials are you using?
-
Well the base is cut foamcore, then it will be wall dapped and then sanded. Then I'll paint it and work on the the drink coils and IG-88 heads.
-
Looking good so far!
-
Very cool this looks nicer than anything I could come up with! Can't wait to see it finished.
-
Let me know if you want to work a deal on some resin IG heads. I've got a mold set up for them and I bet we can work something out. :D

Yeah, Doc's IG heads are nice. I ordered some from him for my cantina.

I love "in production" pics, but it looks like it might be too low?

Looks good to me. On the front page. I can't wait to see more progress on this.
-
That is a nice start! Depending on how accurate you want to get, Spooky is right it should be about 1/2 an inch highier.
-
V.2 is still in construction.

Top base finely sanded, the other side needs to be the same way.

The trimming up close.

What I used for the trim.

The base needs some patch work and when the top table has it's bottom like the top I'll connect it.
What it will look like connected.

What it'll look like finally connected.

Total cost for materials is:
Wall Dap $6
Foam $1
Vine Plant $1
Grass Plant $1
Spanish Moss $1
-----------------------
$10
Notes: cracks are sculpted in the dap, had to wait for a 50/50 dryness to do them. Dirt stains is a mix ratio of 45% Folk-Art paint, water 55%, then you take the brush and hard stroke the brush tip with your thumb towards the dio. Then it flicks little dots on the dio. (Learned this on PBS from one of their paint shows for tiny bubbles for underwater paintings.)
-
The drink dispenser looks terrific. I mean, essentially perfect: great execution!~
I like the nice touches you added to your 1/6 dio: the moss on the edges and plant roots draping the ground look good. You really are ramping up your output! Nice work!
-
Good stuff.
-
Good stuff indeed. I couldn't figure out which thing I wanted to use on the front page so I used them both. Nice work OP.
-
@ JediMerc - Thanks man!!!
@ Jedi Minstrel - :D
@ Tamer - Thanks Tamer! Hopefully the Dispenser will be done soon.
-
Oh yea man, that is a great display! That Capt. Rex is such a great figure!
-
@ Luke Sprywalker - Thank ya man!

Superb dio's. I love your use of the cable ties, that is a very clever touch indeed. Thanks for sharing that one!

Looking very nice; you've paid great attention to the details. This looks perfect already and paint, etc. hasn't even been applied. Very nice!
-
Version 3!!! Made a new one taller (You were right Spooky...) and adding the fixtures. Still needs the IG heads and paint on the pipes. Needs more pipes and some instruments on the table I think. Commence comments! ;D

Figure Scale Comparison
(http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n553/Orangepauldron/DisPinCER6.jpg)
Though this is my 3rd Version, I've decided later on to do another later this year. For the table top I want to make it glow like the movie. I've figured that part out. Clear Star Cases, same thickness as card bubbles is the material to do so. I tested the clear thin plastic with some white paint spray painted on one side. The other non-painted side gives the clear plastic a light bulb effect, not a real "glow" light bulb effect; but a fake interpretation. That's the best way I think #4 Table Top should be. Now I got to figure out how to get the wire to look straight, if you see on the pics there bent this way and that.
Also, if you guys were wondering where I was. I was sick for a whole week with a bad bug that made me sneeze and cough up... I'll just leave it to cough up.
-
Wow, this is looking daggone sweet! Time to go get this on the fp.
-
Thanks Tamer!
-
Im really into this project man! Looks killer I can't wait to see the table all lit up.
-
Nice job! It is a great feeling completing something you have worked on for so long.
-
Great work! Can't wait to see #4.
-
It's all looking very good.
