Anyone hear about this. Well not much is know about it YET. With E3 starting today on tv from 11am CST I think we will know more about it. Not much is know other then it has to do with Boba Fett and that you will be a Bounty Hunter in the game. Thought I would start this and see if anyone wanted to talk about it. I know some are sad that we are NOT getting a Battlefront 3 but this new game called Star Wars 1313 DOES sound interesting though. Be sure to turn on Spike tv and G4 for ALL of todays reveals on video games. YEAH today is the start of the next 3 days of fun filled gaming news. Here is a couple of links for this news about it.

They must have been watching my Darkchild Underworld movies!
That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw this debut!
-
Jules, you hit the nail on the head when I first saw the trailer for this. That is Darkchild through and through. I wonder if we could ever get them to admit it!?

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

you are right! Hangarbay

I just saw the trailer.... It's not really Darkchild...from what I can gather it's Mass Effect 4 with Star Wars branded on the box. The franchise is becoming so far diluted that I'm happy locked in my man cave creating stories of my own, that way the OT is still mine.
-
I was thinking the same thing Jules. The SW Games used to be great original ideas, but lately they seem to be knock offs (I was gonna say cheap, but I would have been wrong) of other popular games. For me bring back the days of original flight sims like X-Wing Alliance and first person shooters like Republic Commando. Those were the glory days if you ask me.
-
And don't forget Dark Forces.... When Kyle Katarn went to Nar Shaddaa I was totally immersed.
I guess the games industry, like the film industry are influenced by one thing and one thing alone...money, Creativity or taking a risk does not factor any more as these things cost so much to produce.
Making.a game aimed at us 40 something life long fans may not be the most profitable venture which is why we perhaps don't see any really good FPS shooters or space sims based in the OT era.

Well I can't argue that point either Jules. We ought to do a CAFN Podcast sometime on the best SW Video Games of all time. You could help us co-host and talk about X-Wing Alliance.
-
Certainly a podcast about gaming would be very interesting. After being dissappointed with the first KOTOR game I'd love to find out what folks think of the latest offering from BioWare.
I think reminiscing over old games and finding out about new ones would make for a very interesting Podcast.

I agree we could do an interview with folks who have experience in both. I think after the Rogue Squadrons my knowledge is very limited. We would need Pat or Wookie Balls or another gamer. I was so bummed, I couldn't find a pc joystick yesterday. Might have to order one on amazon or ebay.

It pays to get the right one.
Also if you have any problems getting it to work on W7 I can guide you through it.

I plan on taking a day this week to try to figure it out. I need to get the joystick first though.
