Picked this one up at walmart for $12.99?
I have long said that I prefer the legacy figures to the skinny clone wars figures and that I would not pursue them to collect them. Well, I was wrong. I was almost hooked at Gree but after seeing this pack, I am hooked.
1 of 2 walmart exclusive packs, this is the Lt Thire and trooper Rys pack.
Both figures have the great articulation that exist in all of the cw clones and removable helmets. Thire has the cw style flip visor on his helmet, and has the kamaless twin holster belt combo. He has the long rifle and two pistols to go with the overly large missle launcher. He also has a pauldron like Captain rex.
Rys comes with a medium blaster and this interesting backpack which has a fold over soft goods flap with a peg-connector to hold it closed. The backpack straps thread into two receiving clasps at the bottom but it barely fits on a clones back because of that large square protrusion in the armor. I believe that both head sculpts are the same but where Rys has all black hair, Lt thire has a thin strip of grey where the hair meets his scalp that gives him a more seasoned look.
Awsome pack, folks, and since it's a walmart exclusive, there is a chance that it won't be around very long. If you get a chance and want it, nab it up when you see one.
