Didn't find Bib Fortuna or Mr D'an, yet, but it's amazing which figures they got. Looks like the other case assortment was distributed in the North of Germany. At least that's what ebay shows me:

Resellers asking 20 bucks for each figure in the bay...should I be surprised?

My buddy made me aware of the laser-cut wooden kits. They are in 1/24 scale and include some nice accessories. And they're obviously targeted at creative women out there.I took three different model kits to try.

Got a second Echo here and left the other one for the next collector.  ;)

I got 10 in total, the doubles are for two of my collector buddies. Boy, what a thrilling hunt that was!
5 stores, 4 hits! Absolutely awesome finds for the mileage.

Store report: SmythsToys

Kamen, Germany

Wed, Aug 2, 2023

My buddy and I went on tour again, yesterday.

------CLEARANCE AISLE------

For everyone who still needs an OMEEEGA. There are 3 rotting here.

Jurassic World

Compared to Hasbro, MATTEL still has reasonable prices in my opinion. It's a double-license for them (JP and Mercedes-Benz) in this set, so the MRSP of 74,99€ might feel a little steep. But I think 50 bucks is a good price for this iconic set.

I think I focus on the Hammond Collection from now on and sell most of my Legacy Collection items.

STAR WARS

LEGO

New arrivals on shelves for the August 1st release! And already reduced up to 33%!

LEGO's MRSPs are plain ridiculous by now. It's just laughable what they give you for half a fortune of your money.

This is in a big mall. Especially for German standards. We don't have many malls like this here. Reminds me of an American mall or the one in Roermond, Netherlands.

Store report: Action

Hamm, Germany

Wed, Aug 2, 2023

Went to three more of their stores, yesterday. Both in Hamm and one in Dortmund. They were all sold out. One fellow collector and YouTuber raided all 4 stores in Dortmund on Tuesday. So I gave up after the first one. He found 7 Figrin D'an figures there. I was looking for one, too. Now he has the Cantina Band complete. Nice!

Store report: SmythsToys

Neuss, Germany
Rheinparkcenter

Fri, Aug 4, 2023

I went out to get some more AVATAR items on clearance, yesterday. Neuss used to have two Toys "R" Us stores. SmythsToys took over both, but closed one of them after a couple years.
The one remaining is located in a mall.

------CLEARANCE AISLE------

It's sad to see that this great toy line ends up like this.

STAR WARS

Full pegs, but only the same items in all stores I go to.

Went out to get some groceries tonight and discovered this new version of playmobil's Volkswagen T1 at EDEKA:

Now they do what they always do when their clearance items are (almost) sold out completely across the country: SmythsToys put their Avatar and some of their JW items on extra clearance. But odds are you won’t find them anywhere anymore.

Yeah, I got the same impression. I think it could operate autonomic or by a pilot like General Grievous himself!

Store report: Ultra Comix

Nuremberg, Germany

Wed, Aug 23, 2023

A friend of mine is working in Bavaria this week and he sent me some pictures from Nuremberg last night. The last time I was there was in 2007. I discovered this shop by accident after I was denied to enter the Nuremberg ToyFair. It's the biggest Comic Store I know here in Germany.
They have 4 stories of cool stuff, but Star Wars is found in the basement. Back in 2007 I got the TSC Republic Commando Multipack and the TAC STAP Attack there. Good memories.
Since I didn't take pictures of this phenomenal store, I was very happy about this surprise yesterday.
Ultra Comix is similar to Forbidden Planet in the UK. They also have a lot of Warhammer stuff, too!

Hey, Jeff thank you so much for commenting here. I used to play with playmobil all day as a boy.
I can get you everything you want here and send it to you when I am in Colorado on Sep 5.
Just let me know what you want to have. I can also buy you the comic books of Asterix.
Best regards
Philipp
