Alright guys before I start I must say the new 6" line is spectacular. I saw the first wave in Target and they all look great. I could only afford one so I picked up my favorite character from the OTC, none other than Luke Skywalker.
The figure has a ball hinge neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles. He has a ball jointed torso, Joe style ball jointed hips and a swivel joint in the upper thigh as well as the top of the boot! I hope the pics below can show the figure's quality and articulation. I will definitely be buying more of these 6" figures. Enjoy!

see for me ..despite all the hooha these just look like scaled up 3.75" rather than 6" collectors pieces ...naaah i will stick to Sideshow.

At least the articulation is looking pretty good in these. Joe-like even.
Thanks for all the pics!

I agree. I'm glad these pics were posted. Especially the close up of Luke's head. You can really see the poor paint application. Customizers will be able to go nuts on these! But I think I will stick to my 3 3/4.

Thanks for the review Tom! Also for the great photos. I do like the articulation but feel they could have given us a removable holster with him for the same cost. I am shocked at the sloppy paint aplications as these are supposed to be high quality collector pieces. The head sculpt isn't great but would look much better with a repaint. If I get Luke I will have to repaint him it looks like.

Wow, looks great as far as movement. I guess we had all hoped the after seeing the great arty work perhaps they would take the same approach with thier paint apps. Guess not.
Thanks for doing this Tom. It was our first six inch review. Time to go share.

Yeah, I agree. Hasbro really botched the paint on Luke and R2. I repainted Maul's horns and they do look better (see my customs forum on ISY).
I've been comparing these figures to NECA's 7'' figures and the difference is amazing. NECA is now using translucent plastic for flesh on some of its new figures, like Arnold from Predator. It looks amazing. The skin looks soft, sweaty, and real. The articulation is well hidden and if NECA figures have peg joints they're always blended in well. Even worse, the NECA figures cost LESS than Hasbro's 6'' (around $13-15 versus $20).
I'm going to be more selective about buying more 6'' figures. Greedo and Boba Fett look good, but I don't think Hasbro has gotten the flesh tones right for characters like Luke, Leia, or Han.

I finally have a review button up on the front page for this. I do apologize for not getting to this sooner. I will endeavor to get better with these as reading your reviews is something I enjoy.
