Brickfair Alabama-in Birmingham 2013
« on: January 18, 2013, 04:03:43 PM »
My brother attended this event today with his boys who are into some Lego custom items that are sold at a Brickfair like this in hoards. Paul tells me that there are vendors aplenty with bins full of cast custom Lego parts and that they are pricey. He tells me that I need to get into this what with the casting that I do and he is interested in the various printing possibility's as far as custom graphics for Lego figures goes, with him being a graphic artist and all.

Very cool. Clint some of the first pieces I cast were Lego parts for my son Jaxon. I wish there was something like this in our area for me to take him to. He is a Lego nut!

even more shots from Paul

Here are Levi and Caleb and a couple shots of Levi's diorama in some kind of builder's booth

Paul liked this guy's stuff

Bins full of guns

Modern Warfare stuff

Paul says that the attendees go nuts over the stuff and that the vendors are just raking it in. All of these parts look pretty high quality to me.

I remember seeing some of the LEGO Stuff at CV and thinking how cool it was. I do not want to get into another line, but lets face it LEGO is pretty cool.

I asked Paul about the diorama building areas and he described em as different themed areas-movies, tv and books- science fiction- castles-military- motorized- misc.
Here is another shot with Levi and Caleb behind what looks like a ww2 Navy Amphib ship.

Wish I could go, I'd be looking for parts to make a Nathan Drake from Uncharted.
