Wow! Those cards are amazing. I had no idea someone could do that. Very impressive! BTW, I have a stormtrooper with just a bit of yellow and I read that you could bathe them to remove/fade it. Is there more information on the bath recipe?

If you hit the CAFN Button (top right) off the main page you can listen to Ray talk about that particular process and recipe.

Cool deal. It would be great to see before and after pics. I have yet to try this process myself but aim too someday.

Hi Ray,

Many thanks for the warm welcome and for the advice regarding re-painting my Falcon, greatly appreciated.

Definitely going the repaint route, since my Falcon shell has discoloured badly with horrible orange marks.  My Falcon was stored in an attic and the extremes in temperature have taken its toll.  I was torn about committing to painting the shell since it will no longer be original.  However, at present it looks really rough.  The good news, its pretty complete and the glass, sidewalls and radar not too badly discoloured; only the shell itself.

I purchased some repro decals from eBay and truth be told, they are not great, the colours  are way too dark and quite a few suffer from Moiré pattern where they have been scanned!  Therefore, I fired up Illustrator and in the process of creating my own.  Once the weather gets a bit warmer, will commence with the painting.

A great thread from start to finish, really looking forward to seeing Dagobah and Mini-Rig progress.

All the best,

Hey Ninco!

Hope all is going well with your Falcon! Step one of my Dagobah is done... Here's my battered old Bespin Luke from my childhood, lovingly cleaned and spruced up (complete with a pair of donor hands!!)

I just need a Vader cape and Dagobah will be rolled out...

Hey Art - thanks Buddy, always great to hear from you!

Barry - restoring that old girl made me feel like  a kid again too - I can't believe just how much fun that old toy was. And I will admit to playing with it for a little while after fixing her up!!!

Here's something a little bit special...

This is the latest figure from my 'Line That Time Forget' project, I give you the...

AT-AT Door Gunner

This is a special, one off custom for my buddy Shawn (to ease the pain of our M.I.A E11 blaster rifle!)

This guy is 99% complete - he's only waiting on an slightly altered vintage Zuckuss rifle and his custom vintage Kenner ESB card. Once those are sorted this guy will be his his way to the US!!

All the best,

Ray

Ray, that is just off the cuff!

Now to give a little background, we have been having a horrible time figuring out where that e-11 one to one replica blaster is that Ray sent me. We will just say both of our postal services have been less than stellar in all this. Thank the maker for insurance. Ray, none of that postalness was your fault my friend. Now will I send this back when it gets to me, no way!

I think it looks wonderful. What a great addition to my vintage AT-AT Drivers. Kenner should have made one!
