Thank you, Starchaser! I appreciate it.
I had a surprise free day today, so I made it a Star Wars day and finished up some more things that I have been working on for awhile.
First up, my take on the Tonnika sisters. Not perfectly screen accurate and I'm still not super happy with them (they need sculpted collars and I'm not 100% pleased with how they're both looking down...) but they've been half finished in my bins for months, so I finished painting them and am calling it good and walking away from them for now. The heads are by I Am Boba Fett. Bodies are both Joe Scarlett bodies - I chose two slightly different bodies to differentiate them even though that isn't screen accurate. I just preferred them that way.
Now on to some that I'm happier with. First of all, a Rodian bounty hunter who works for "Rosa" the Hutt. He's a mishmash of parts that has been partially together and unpainted in my custom drawers for awhile. The skirt piece is from the Vintage Collection Weequay, torso is Feltipern Trevagg, Cape is from a Thor figure, head and hands are Pax Bonkik. Not sure on the arms and legs, honestly. A tiny bit of sculpting to make the wrists work right and a little paint and voila... (Another photo is in the Yakfinities thread)
And now, the Hutt custom that I thought would be the death of me finally finished. For now, her name is Rosa the Hutt - named by my daughter. I saw an illustration of a Hutt (I believe in one of the Fantasy Flight Games books) that had some small spikes on parts of its body like a horned toad. I used that as inspiration for the spiked eyelids. Otherwise, I added a little bulk, some warts and painted it in darker colors. There are some small details that I'm not completely happy with, but for the most part, it came out how I hoped. I hope you like her in all of her "beauty." (It's hard to see in the photos, but I particularly like the gloss that I added to the eyes, nose, and mouth.
And a wip shot.
