Thanks, that paint effect is pretty easy to do, You just use your base color spray one layer normally then for teh second hold the air brush back so the paint drys when it hits the project, that way it doesn't "lay" down and rather is almost like a textured finish, then lightly spray a contrast color the same way clear it and it's done.

Man I love that A wing. I sure wish hasbro would give us one like that. It exactly matches the titanium one. I like that five oh one too. I hear you on that sticker and paint thinner thing! I had a similar experience with some walker stickers.

Here is a vintage style sandtrooper I did years ago. The torso was created by a very talented guy named Ryan Shaw, I just painted it up and tore apart a minty vintage stormtrooper for the limbs. I deliberatly left the paint on the backpack less than perfect to capture the vintage feel. I also have a Rocket Fett Ryan did, it is suberb.

Nice! Now that is one vintage custom. What year do you think it was, Sarge?

As far as what year? If your asking when I did it, I would say 2004 or 5, or when Ryan made sculpted the torso, I would say 2003 perhalps, it all blends together.

Ryan does, he used to have a site devoted to his customs but I don't think it's around anymore, He carves and builds in wax and then makes molds and does injection molding I believe. He did and does fantastic work, I should see if I can get him to join up and share his work.

Now granted this isn't SW but it is the first custom project I have done all spring, so here it is.   I was at a car show this past weekend and saw this lonely 1957 Chevy headlight bezel sitting dirty and alone, it struck me as it would be a cool shop clock if I did a little work to it,   teh chrome wasn't the best so I buffed it with 000 steel wool, repainted the inserts and trim a satin black, cut a backing from 1/4 inch plywood, printed a face from cardstock on the comp, added a hobby lobby clock kit and done.

57Chevy wall clock

not thrilling I know but atleast the airbrush working once again ;)   and yes Tamer I started on those chin guns as well :)

Very classy Wayne!  I think that would go well in any car enthusiast's garage!

That scratch built swamp speeder is awesome.  From someone who has tried to scratch build and failed numerous times that is simply amazing.  I know how dificult it is to get things to look right...  of course it does help to have a miniature to look at!

Been a long time since I have done any custom SW work but I had to get some guns painted for Tamer, Custom ATAT side guns made from some elite force thing if I recall correctly, I just cast some pegs and epoxied them on and painted them to match his custom ATAT
