So, you want to know about Funeral Pyre Darth Vader, right? Per a very reliable Hasbro employee, Funeral Pyre Darth Vader has not been pitched to a retailer yet. Hasbro is looking to set this beautiful piece around $30.00, but they want to know what kind of interest collector support will be for it first. They will most likely be polling collector sites, like Jedi Temple Archives, to be gauging this. At best it will be a very late 2010 item, if not a 2011 item. So, start gearing up your support now! We will keep you posted on its progression. And stay tuned, we have a video forthcoming that will be posted on our site as well!
I sure hope they query the Yards on this. I love the sound of it even if it is a little morbid.

If you look at the extreme right side of SuperheroHype's pic, you'll see the right side of a Bespin Security Guard!! DadGUM but can I call them or what!! And JTA's photo shows black and white variants. YES!!! And the Stormie w/ removeable armor - that's Han Solo underneath. You can see his black vest under the right shoulder of the armor and inside the collar area. Plus, those too-short sleeves and the boots help give it away... Then the JediTempleArchives has a photo that *tags* it as such.
Holy sweetness... Slave Leia with soft-goods skirt - better articulation? We'll see. Lotta good-lookin figures in that display!!
Wonder when the "Malasian Connection" will have them up on ebay?
-
Jeditemple Archives. Revenge of the Sith.

Yepper Doc, you made some good calls. I just hope that new AT-AT Driver is better articulated, but it doesn't look it from what I can see.

Does that ATAT Driver look superarty or are my old eyes all out of whack.

Rebelscum also gave us some ship images. I am still waiting to see one we didn't know about though.

looks to me like there is a joint at the elbow and a swing joint above the elbow.
The helmet looks slightly different as does his airbox. Could he be super arty with a removable helmet??? I am digging the new Cody sculpt also
-
Doubt he is removeable or they probably would have shown us, but I do think it might be slightly different.
-
BTW isn't Kal Fas the dude from CW who steals R2?
-
I seen a de battlepack at target that had him in it
-
You can see the knee artic on the ATAT driver, too.
DAMN!! It looks like Hasbro listened to our comments/complaints/gripes/wishes on basic figure design! Even the chicks with bare arms have articulation on par with everyone else!
-

I know they have a CW version, but if this is the guy it would give confirmation that Hasbro is indeed making Legacy figures of the Clone Wars characters. Bring on the Clones if that is the case. I can smell a Hasbro question for next round.
And yes Doc, I am starting to believe you now. That atat driver, for me, is the best thing so far. I just hope it means they will be making a nice huge four legged vehicle for this guy. Did anyone notice the walker footage on the upper rectangle sections on the SW Pavilion? Hmmm.....fingers crossed. We will find out tomorrow.
Oh, almost forgot. Supposedly Hasbro today confirmed there will be a Celebration V next year. They later ammended thier web page, but it seems SDCC will give some info on that too. I am crossing my fingers for Baltimore, but doubt it will be there.
-
tamer, I almost forgot.... Did you see that new concept snowie?? I think I seen him on one of those superherohype.com sdcc pages.
-

Yeah, kinda didn't look SW to me though. I thought it looked like Shredder from TMNT.
-
Shredder, yeah I can see that. Very "heavy Samurai" look to those McQuarrie concept-arts for them. I'm looking forward to most of those figs - in MULTIPLES!!

Indy was good, hope they can do it again there...

Looks like the Crumb on the Crumb bomber is a sticker, and perhaps not a very formed on at that.

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/sdcc2009
just hit the link and watch the hasbro presentation live.
-
The AT-AT Driver has a removeable helmet. Clint was right. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Daggone looks like the ATST is ROTJ, oh well I will still get it.
-
I am hitting the chat room if anyone is there and wants to talk new SDCC stuff.
-
looks like a new Tie Interceptor that is a toysrus exclusive.
-
They just hinted at the Walker! Sweet! They said they can't say anyting yet, but there are gonna be some great TESB offerings for the anniversary next year! Oh man, now I guess I will have to wait till ToyFair!
-
They are also doing another big wing tiefighter, this time in White.
-
I am out of the chat room. Overall I would say the presentation was decent. I was a little let down on no ATAT info, but the atat driver more than made up for it.

Nice looking list and nice looking figures. You know me, I like the clones and the troopers but have seen a few others that I will get. Man, there is a ton of stuff coming out. Hasbro is hooking us up, this time.
-
I gotta agree! And most of them - from what I can see - are nicely articulated; ie: ball shoulders, elbows, and knees and ball-post heads. Looks like a good year to spend a lot of money on figs!!
-
Now let me get this right.............the atst and new dew back were both walmart exclusives?
I need some real pics of that atst.
-
I snagged these shots from the hasbro panel from starwars.com

Boy, looks like Walmart are getting some cool exclusives, this year. Looks like two defferent decos on that atst, Tamer. It also looks like it will be packaged up with one? driver.
-
I am LOVING that Droid factory Wave 1 line up! I'll be getting all of those! This is the first time in a long time I've been excited for Hasbro products!
-
I think I am switching from GIJOE to star wars, like PDQ.
-
I am loving the new TESB wave. Loving it, I will buy every atat driver I find. Every one! I have a dozen saga2 versions that were just made obselete today. I did notice that atst looks like it comes in two decos, one TESB and one Endor I am hoping. I know we never saw that ship on Tatooine, but it sure looks like a sandy paint job to me. Still, I will have at least one, you guys know me. I didn't know Starwarsshop was carrying the hasbro panel too. Cool stuff Clint.
By the way, Jeditemplearchives, who carried the live broadcast of the hasbro panel today, is allowing us the use of said video. It is up now on the front page. It is kinda neat to hear the hasbro folks talk about the items. They also hinted about some fabulous TESB offerings for the anniversary year.
-
Also you are looking at C5 being confirmed next year bet as to where, no location yet.
And this new figure line up. well i guess we are all gonna be broke!
-
That panel is actually at starwars.com.
http://www.starwars.com/vault/collecting/news20090724a.html (http://www.starwars.com/vault/collecting/news20090724a.html)
Yep, I may have to sell my old dewback and pick up the new one.
-
Don't forget G4 is doing a 4 hour Star Wars panel today live from SDCC. I bet this is where we hear where C5 will be.
-
Some very nice stuff coming down the road! I'm most happily pleased with the comic packs and EU wave turned out really great!
For the basic line some very nice candidates, I'm eagerly awaiting the new Cody, Zuckuss, Jabba's guards, Bespin Guards, Slave Leia, oh there's too many to list. :o
-
I hear you Fett.
I am watching the Gfour panel now. Looks like Sansweet didn't do anyting other than confirm that there will be a Celeberation next summer. He didn't specify date or city.
-
I really enjoyed the clone wars panel. I can't wait till season two starts.
-
I am watching it recorded now. Olivia Munn and co host didn't do much for me. They were kinda off imo.
-
I am watching it recorded now. Olivia Munn and co host didn't do much for me. They were kinda off imo.
I agree. Do you think that they paid those jokers for that?
-

Oh, I am sure they did. We are all in the wrong line of work. To think you can make your living off of looking like and idiot.
-
I hope they didn't. Seemed like a waste if they did.....lol
-
I haven't even looked today. Is there any new news from Comic Con?
-
not that I have seen. I am still looking for a good shot of that concept snowie.
-
I know that this cody was filed into a wave of release but I haven't found where this concept snowtrooper is filed into a wave. This snowie is based on the other ESB graphic designer's renderings, I believe, and not McQuarrie's
thanks again to sirsteve'sguide.com for these images

-
I think I saw it with the TESB wave Clint, that concept snowtrooper that is.

I ordered mine, Simon.
Here is a list of release dates and prices of some of the store exclusives that we have reported about.

kmart:
Clone Trooper Squad - September 1, 2009 - $29.99
I notice that commander ponds is at a lower than expected $7.99
$29.99 for a dewback???? seems kinda steep
-
I can easily see dropping about $500 in the not so distant future... and even buying a few things I don't even like.
In time they might grow on me...
come on will power...
-
Still cant find the wave this fig comes in.
Yes, another pic of the concept snowie. This one is based on the conceptual renderings of Joe johnston, the other graphic designer on the ESB staff.
-
god i'm drooling at the astros...hang on a minute... the ESB wave but R2-X2 was in ANH!
-
Why am I guessing that the concept snowy comes in the ESB wave?
