This is probably the goofiest purchase I have ever made. I got this off ebay, I paid more then I wanted to though. Technically I only paid about half, as I used some money from selling a few things towards this. It is a wearable raccoon tail and ears, from when Super Mario 3D Land was released. These were given out as a first come, first serve basis at the launch event in New York. I think it makes a great collectible regardless, but also if I ever wanted to dress up as Raccoon Mario for Halloween, I'm all set haha. The ears are a headband, and the tail wraps around using a nylon belt, with a plastic clip. The tail feels like a bean bag. The seller also included the bags.  A very cool item.

Yeah a bit goofy for me I'll admit, but this fell into the miscellaneous category for me with collecting. I figured in a few years this would be one of those rare collectibles, so I figured I'd get it now. The only way you could get this was at the launch of Super Mario 3D Land in New York. It's not sold in stores or anything. Plus the fact its licensed by Nintendo, making it 'official'. Its also one of my favorite power-ups. Will I wear this? Probably not lol.  Although if I do, I sure as hell won't make any attempt to fly haha.

Another example of a miscellaneous item I have is Mario's hat, also a licensed Nintendo product. It was for people who were subscribed to Club Nintendo who reached platinum status. I'm not subscribed but saw it on ebay for cheap so I nabbed it. It's a hat but not a 'wearable hat' if that makes sense.

Got another Genesis Dalek for Christmas! I also ended up with a second 12th Doctor that I will exchange at Walgreens tomorrow for another Asylum Dalek.

On the way home from work tonight, I hit a Walgreens and saw that they were clearancing the "Doctor Who" line. I cleaned them out of both types of Daleks they carried :)

I will hit some more Walgreens tomorrow looking for more Daleks.

I also included 2 pics of my Dalek armies :)

Picked up Yoshi from the Amiibo series last week, then found Luigi on Monday after work. I may pick up Bowser when he's released, but apart from that, that's it. I think they're cool, but just limiting myself to Mario-related figures.

I like the Amiibos overall. Figures that can be used in your game, also making a nice collectible. Neat idea.

I've been out of the Nintendo Wii loop for a bit, and was late in getting the Wii U. Yesterday I went into the Wii virtual console and bought some Wii points so I could download a few more old Nintendo games I wanted. I got the original Donkey Kong (cause why not), Super Mario Kart and Super Mario RPG.

Now for a non-Nintendo purchase. I needed another PS3 controller as mine is becoming worn out and close to falling apart. I only have one anyway. My favorite game on the PS3 is MLB The Show, so why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone and get this MLB The Show exclusive controller. I also saved $10 by buying it off ebay rather then going to Gamestop.

Tonight, while reorganizing my Classic Daleks to add the 3 additional "Genesis Of The Daleks" Classic Daleks I picked up from Walgreens, I noticed something odd about 2 of the new additions: they were missing the raised oval design between their arms.

I have not heard of any oval/no oval variants outside the "Children Of The Revolution" Dalek 2pk's red Alpha Dalek so this is totally new to me.

I may be the first person to document this variant!
