I am also hearing rumors of a vintage special boxed toysrus edition at-at and word that there will be two other special boxed items as well.

This sounds much more promising.  It looks like the retail on these, according to Hasbro, will be $7.99, so that is a HUGE boost for me.

To me this destroys the original concept,

I liked the "limited" run, releasing original style figs on the old Kenner cards,   by adding "repacks" and non OT figs to it is plain shit. How the hell can it be vintage if it was done in the past 11 years?   I hate it and won't be buying many.,  add in the "greatest hits' and that is just anotehr way to screw the collectors by tossing in crappy selling figs to clog the pegs, it blows.

Hasbro really needs to be careful with character selection on the Greatest Hits candidates.  For instance, you put a previously released 4-LOM on one of these cards and you'll sell them; but a lot of folks who may have picked up two--one carded and one loose--might now only pick up one.  Put a Rancor Keeper on one of these cards and you might not move many of them at all.

droidbait. We have high resolution images of these same figs up in the vintage wave one thread.  The pictures also come up in a large size so you have no need to hit an attachment.

That's the 1st I have seen with Han's welding helmet. That's cool.

I might have to do some research or look through some old figures, but I'm thinking the welder may have originally come with one of the Chewbacca figures a few years back.  If it's the same mold, the sample here definitely has a better paint job.  The welder I'm thinking of was simply cast in a silver/gray color.

I'm talking about the welding helmet. Chewbacca came with goggles and the welder but Han's welding helmet is new.

Oops mis-read the post.  I agree--that welding helmet is cool.  With the so-so head on the Han sculpt, I'll probably opt for displaying the figure wearing the mask/helmet.

He might be cool being posed on top of  the Millenium Falcon holding the welding mask  up to his face. Can't wait.

I have to say, the accessories included with this Han Solo figure are the primary reason I'm interested in getting him.  I'd have preferred a proper Bespin Han but this will do.  I'd posted earlier I'd be posing this figure wearing the welding helmet.  Mike, your last comment actually got me thinking whether or not the mask itself had a strap in back.  I'd assumed so; but that doesn't mean it does.  If it doesn't, I hope the figure's articulation would allow a convincing pose as you suggested--holding it up over his face.  Something tells me we won't be getting enough range of motion in the elbow to do so.   We might not be able to hide that hideous head sculpt after all.   :-\   :)
