Kobayashimaru's Trade Thread
« on: August 27, 2011, 09:31:22 AM »
@all
Hi there folks!
I collect Star Wars Miniatures, the 38mm tabletop war game, and am downsizing my collection.

I am looking to trade two large armies away; an Original Trilogy Empire army, and an Original Trilogy Rebels army.
You can find the army lists here:
http://community.wizards.com/marketplace/go/thread/view/94961/22257693/Kobayashimarus_NEW_Trade_Thread?pg=2

Each army comes with: stat cards (play warn, near mint), miniatures (factory painted, some play warn - all near mint)
1 x 20-sided dice, and 1 random play mat.
Photos are available upon request  ;D

I am looking to trade the Empire army for any combination of the following models;
2 x Episode I Phantom Menace Droid Starfighter 3 pack (1/48th scale)
2 x Magnaguard Droid Starfighter Revell Model Kit (1/48th scale)
1 x General Grevious Fighter Revell Model Kit (1/48th scale)
1-3 x Droid Tri-fighter Revel Snap Kit (1/48th scale)

The offer im looking for would be:
2 x Episode I Phantom Menace Droid Starfighter 3 Pack
and any combination of the rest up to all of the above list.

I am looking to trade the Rebel army for any combination of the following models;
1-2 (or possibly more if you pick up a large lot on ebay) ETA 2 Actis Star Wars Transformer Crossovers Jedi Starfighter [any paintscheme]
2 x Revel Snap V19 Torrent Starfighters (1/48th scale)
1-2 Star Wars Transformers Crossover V-wing Shock Trooper

The offer im looking for would be:
2 Star Wars Transformers Crossovers V-wing Shock Troopers
and any combination up to all of the above list.

---
Any offers of substance will be considered, PM away!  ;D
Some offers Ive had already include
Rebel Army list for
1 x 1/48th Clone Wars Y-wing kit

Empire Army list for
1 x Delta 7 revell 1/48th kit,
3 x Droid tri-fighter revell easy snap kit.

Look forward to hearing from you,
kobayashimaru

I should probably note that I am from AUS... :o

I ship using gratuitous amounts of bubble wrap or packaging peanuts, statcards are shipped either in sleeves or now in ultrapro sheets,
and I ship with Delivery Confirmation Priority International Shipping from AUSPOST

I have a +13 trade rating locally from the Trading Post, a +8 from WotC online and no complaints as yet against my rating.
Further, once correspondence is entered into, people generally find my communication skills exemplary.
Google maps and knowing the jurisdictions of both parties tends to safeguard against any mishaps  ;D

These armies are pretty hefty, hence their high price estimates.
Total valuation: ~$550-600 total for both armies, or $250-300 each.
Asking Price (total for wanted model kits): ~$200 or less.
It works out cheaper cost wise to trade, even though shipping multiple model kits can seem to be expensive...  ;D

@all,
Theres some interest in the Rebels, a couple of questions have been asked so I thought I'd answer some FAQs  ;D

1. Do I (the prospective trader) have to pay for your (kobayashimaru) shipping?
A: No, you wont be charged shipping if you trade with me, nor would I expect to pay for your shipping costs  ;D

2. Can you sell me just the VR or R pieces out of your lots?
A: I want to sell/trade these collections altogether, to trade for starfighters that I will use in tabletop RPG/local gaming.
So thats a no, unfortunately.

3. I'm from Mexico, will you trade/sell to me? Also, can you ship first and I'll pay you once theyve arrived?
A: Well, unfortunately, I dont trade with Mexico, South America or other jurisdictions that dont guarantee delivery.
I also don't ship first, due to bad trades. At a pinch, if you made a good trade offer, I could simulsend...
And if you wish to purchase, I would ask that you pay first. Again, at a stretch, if you made a good trade offer, I could do half now, half when you receive at your end...

I hope this clears a few things up  ;D
Any and all offers will be considered, so worse case scenario we have a nice chat  ;D
Thanks for looking, and keep the offers coming,
Kobayashimaru

Is anybody trading vehicle parts, droids or weapons?
They make really great star wars miniatures fodder...  ;D
