dag on nice work bud, the ammount of detail in the tiny greeblies your adding to the wing and engine sections realy show your attention to detail (and your patience).

this build is rivaling your imperial dropship.

The images are not showing for you?  I put them at the beginning of the thread.   I have them stored on Facebook but will move them somewhere else if anyone has a a problem viewing them here.

Oh, and I'm looking into getting ahold of a Falcon cockpit for the chairs now.

The solar panels are patterned pieces of sheet styrene from Plastruct or Evergreen.  I forget which.

Nice work.  This is a great build and i love watching it come together!!

Please keep mirroring your Facebook images as many of us here don't use it at all and can't see any images or links you post from there.  FB might be fun but the Yards is far better. ;)

Can you see the images I posted in this thread? If not I will host them somewhere else.  Don't want to leave anyone out.  I didn't know there was an issue.  If you can currently see them, they are linked directly from my Facebook account and I guess everything is OK.

FB might be fun but the Yards is far better. ;)

Agreed. However, Facebook allows me to connect with a wider group of customizers and modelers that wouldn't be posting here.  The reason I use FB for hosting images is because I hate to have multiple image hosting areas I need to update.  Cuts down on my actual worktime which is most valuable and important to me. That said, if there is a problem with people not being able to see images I will take action to correct that issue.

I'm really liking this build. I always did like the TIE Phantom design (and the computer game). You did a great job replicating the intake panels. I'm curious, I know you're using styrene sheets for that, but how are you replicating the cuts so precisely? X-acto scribing and then popping the pieces apart? Excellent job though. I can't wait to see it when you start adding all the little details.

Thanks.  This version won't be an exact replica as I will be taking many liberties with certain things because that keeps it interesting for me.  I will be keeping the overall design of the Phantom, though. Maybe I'll call this a Phantom Prototype from my own Phan Fiction.  Anyway, yes, the styrene was just scored and snapped to achieve the cuts and shapes.

This just looks great. Back on the front page. Thank you for sharing your image updates with us here. My problem is facebook is seen as an evil for a few places I work for (meaning that it is blocked as folks would spend more time on it than doing their jobs) so I appreciate having an outlet I can see it.

Thanks again, all.  I worked on the cockpit and canopy and posted a few new images that at the beginning of the thread.  As you can see I ditched the idea of two pilots and I'm going with a single pilot instead.  This gives me more room to work and will give some space for the LED lights I have planned for the cockpit.  Nothing too fancy but I'd like to have a red glow coming from there.
