-
Very nice jay, your work is flawless as always I cant wait to see more pics of that Y-Wing
-
Nicely done titaniums, Jay! That b-wing is turning out sweet, mate.
-
they arent titaniums clint they are action fleet
-
lol... I didn't realize it at first... but that dagger b-wing actually made me say "wow" out loud...
that thing looks amazing! very clean and crisp paint job.
and that republic cruiser... I don't even HAVE the republic cruiser action fleet! I love your paint job on it though, it looks great! I think I saw someone else's republic cruiser that they had painted up to look similar to the tantive IV, the blockade runner. that paint scheme looks realy good on that ship...
still oogling that dagger squad b-wing though... man I miss my action fleet ships.
this is the kind of stuff that makes me want to dig them out of storage and customize every one of them, to hell with keeping them mint! lol

awesome work man, this is what I was going to work on over the weekend. I have a bunch of the larger action fleet ships and they are screaming to be painted up.
-
action fleets, ok, i never seen those two before.
-
wow, those are great! My favorite is definitely the B-wing, great work!
-
The republic cruiser is definately my favourite of all of the starships from the prequals & you've done a great re-paint. I also love what you've done top the B wing as well. Great Desk toys.
-
As a huge fan of both the Action Fleet line and your work, it's only natural that I would love these.
Can't wait to see the better pix of your other vehicles, which I've drooled over countless times, but not yet at this site.
-
These are cool Wraith, never seen any vehicles from you before now. Great job, just like those droids you are famous for.
-
guys im on the look out for some cheap G.I.Joe vehicles of the flying kind (or underwater) what im after must be complete in so much as have all canopies ,hatches etc i,m not bothered about boxes ,figs, stickers or bombs and the like i' lookin for 3 particular ones
S.H.A.R.C.
Firebat
Conquest X-30
jay
i think they have starfighter potential
-
lol if you find any extras let me know.. I've been chasing after a cheap one of each of those for a long time.... I do think though that the local wal-mart will be puting up the new roc line on clearance soon, they've already marked down the figs to 5:00, just a matter of time for the vehicles....
-
Someone on RS modded a SHARC about a year ago into a Mando fighter. I think you are onto something with this.
-
well i hoped to do a personal fighter custom with an incomplete vintage Y-wing but unfortunatly some bugger bought it so the project is shelved :-\
-
really nice vehicles jay!
-
A Wraith9 Vehicle would be a rare and wonderful thing...shame you missed the opportunity, but I'm hoping one will pop up again soon.
-
still trawling ebay .....
-
Those Action Fleets look good Jay!

COMING SOON THE PREDECESSOR TO THE Y-WING
KOENSAYR RTB-1 "VALKYRIE"
-
Ooooh, a Wraith9 custom vehicle! now this I'm looking forward to. Remember, plenty of gorge pictures so that I can rustle up a little bit of artwork...
-
KOENSAYR INDUSTRIES:
RTB-1A "VALKYRIE" SINGLE SEAT TACTICAL FIGHTER/BOMBER
The Valkyrie was Koensayr's first foray into the starfighter market but certainly not its last.It sported a rugged space frame and heavy weaponry and shields and a modest payload .its main weapons were a pair of Taim & Bak Rotary laser cannons under the forward fusalage and a pair of concussion missile launchers ,with a rear facing remotely operated pair of Blastech Blasters on the rear cockpit roof .the engines were a pair of "off the shelf" Novaldex J-22 "sunburst" ion drives coupled with a new Koensayr powerplant.
Navigation was handled by an onboard astromech .
this model first saw service in the opening stages of the Clone Wars with the Republic Navy and was a astounding success at first .but after a few months problems began to emerge ,the rear blasters proved to be next to useless in battle so much so that most pilots didn't even bother to power them up ,also the engines required extraordinary amounts of maintenance . that being said the republic pilots appreciated the Valkyrie especially for the immense firepower and heavy shielding
what they didn't like was the twitchy handling and constant breakdowns ,unfortunatley with the advent of faster and better armed droid fighters the Valkyrie was quickly outmatched in terms of speed and defensive armament which led to some Valkyrie squadrons suffering appalling losses .The "Valkyrie" or as the pilots tended to refer to it "The Rancor" or "GunBus" was withdawn from service a year and a half into the conflict. To be replaced by Koensayrs new offering ........The BTL-1 "Y- Wing".(which used an uprated version of the Valkyrie's space frame and thanks to pilot feedback retained many features of the original Valkyrie))

-
That looks great, Jay! It really comes off well. Weathering is awesome too!
-
Great idea and execution Jay. Love the story, the droid, the decals, paint and weathering. Oh yea nice pilot as well.

you were very busy the last days mate. The VALKYRIE looks really awesome and also the custom pilot is top-notch.
as always great job
-
thanks guys i really wanted the valkyrie to sound believable
-
I love it!
The only criticism I have is that I think the body needs more black to blend better with the cockpit area. It kinda looks plonked on. Other than that, the execution & backstory are quality! :)
-

Looks better! vadsab

It's funny, but I was going to suggest that you darken the rear of the ship, but I didn't want to seem critical. It looks just right! I love all of your detailing, and you have applied the same paint effects as you do on your figure customs, so this thing is absolutely superb.

Kuat Drive Yards ARV-20
A Scout Class vessel which was used in the very early days of the Clone Wars, Republic Pilots nicknamed the ARV-20 "the Flea" and it had an even shorter lifespan than the illfated "Valkyrie" it was lightly armed and armoured ,but had a blistering turn of speed , a hyperdrive and a very sophisticated sensor package. unfortunatly the navicomp could only hold one jump coordinate at a time and with much better vessels being introduced "The Flea " became obsolete very quickly ,and was retired from service only 8 months into the conflict. Many are now used as runabouts and have been upgraded with more powerful blasters and better shields and tend to be employed as light patrol vessels especially in the Outer Rim and Wild Space regions.

"Landing At Point Rain"
PoleAxe 2
Astromech R4-X3(see directory)
bio: He was paired with PoleAxe 2 and a pilot called "TwoTone" ,he is a fiesty droid in many ways like R2-D2 but does have the tendency to sulk on occasion,he and his pilot successfully completed their missions on Geonosis ,PoleAxe Squadron was supporting the 327th Star Corps on Felucia when Order 66 was issued and PoleAxe 2 was the fighter which fired the killshot at Jedi Master Tyree Keth's Delta 7b starfighter thus signifying the end of the Old Republic and the Jedi Order.

I have finally got round to taking some pics of my shadow gunship which has been slightly upgraded with weapons and decals
Republic Gunship :
Rothana Heavy Engineering Low Altitude Assault Transport/Tactical Insertion
LAAT/ti
The Tactical Insertion version of the Republic Gunship was a more specialised and expensive variant of the standard LAAT/i,
it was 20% faster, had thicker armour and the standard front laser cannons were replaced by Z12 Heavy Rotary Cannons,
which greatly increased the front end firepower.
The LAAT/ti was also covered in a sensor absorbing black paint scheme (which reduced the ships sensor profile by 35%) .
It was mainly used on highly critical missions and more often than not carried 2 squads of Republic Commando's.
Unfortunately due to its cost the republic could not afford to mass produce this rare variant .

Jay this is one of my favorite vehicle customs you have ever done! I love this gunship! The decals look great and I love the nose cannon upgrade. I know this is one of the more expensive vehicles to produce but if you ever sell her please give me first dibbs! Great story to go along with her, very well done mate!
-
The nose-gun mods immediately caught my eye - gotta love nose-mount gatlings!! Great-looking ship!
-
Did you have that interior black before? I like the grey details left on the floor like that.
I love your improvements, buddy.
-
Jay, I love it! thanks for the compliment but I find black a very hard colour to use when customising, so I very much doubt I could better what you have done. I'd love to see the ship with a compliment of Clones!
Awesome job my friend, Awesome!
-
Jay, this time you've outdone yourself
the LAAT/ti looks absolutely brilliant
I like the new front cannons
as always, very well done
-
Very cool, Jay! As always, great work!
-
Very nice paint job!
-
Jay I love this vehicle. This is one of the vehicles I never picked up and I regret it big time now. I love the mini-guns on the front and the paint job is great.
-
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is freeqin awesome

I had to come back for more. 8)
What did you use for the minigun barrels? Brendan believes they are the barrels from the weapon used by, amongst others, the BARC Trooper and which *may* be a pack-in extra in certain "bonus weapon packs." Is he correct? (my stuff is spread across 3 locations and 40 acres or I'd just run check)

the barrels are from the heavy weapon that comes with the Galactic Marine (which i also believe come with the BARC trooper)

Excellent! Now to work "mold and cast rotary blaster barrels for gunships" into the work-queue! ;D
-
Hey there,
It wasn't till I saw your re-painted Clone Wars Y-Wing that I finally figured out that you're Rasputin from YouTube. I know it's probably not like I just unmasked the Batman, but good to see you here on the forum.
Nice work and can't wait to see what you've got next.
-

Great job with the AF repaints and the kit-bashes. I especially liked the dusty wash on the "Courageous", looks nicely "worn-in".

Awesome, cant wait to see it finished
-
Sweet.

I had to go find an image of an TCW Y-Wing to see just how different this is so far. I am thinking you might be making a Phase II Conversion if you will to making this the missing link between TCW and the ANH Version. Cool deal Jay. On the front page btw.
-
i had originally imagined this as a bounty hunter ship (leaving the engines off) but i think i may do some sort of early rebel Y-wing (before they took most of the panelling off) we shall see how it developes...
i have cut the cockpit canopy so that it opens only in the center section just like the ANH Y-wings.
-
Looking really cool so far Jay!
-
I think it is the perfect segway to the ANH Y-Wing. I have to admit, I am really liking the look.
-
Get some outer wings on that baby, it'll transform it into an entirely new New Republic Y-Wing Mk 2
-
Lookin' good, what about some bent type wings, like Darth's TIE, or Mauls Interceptor.. Those might look good on each end.
