Well stopped by target today, not much going on there.  They did have a beaten up rancor on the shelf, but other then that just the usual pegwarmers.

Well Walmart this morning was pretty much the same, not much going on there.  Which is nice since the pegs won't be full of old stuff come July 26th.

What did you think of that black super battle droid?
Title: Re: Central Minnesota
Post by: Darth C on June 23, 2008, 01:13:41 PM
I liked the color scheme to it.  It makes it more appealing to me then the standard bluish grey one.
Title: Re: Central Minnesota
Post by: Tamer on June 24, 2008, 04:16:11 AM
I wish that battle pack had a least one more newer paint scheme figure in it? Was the black super battle droid the only new figure in this? Oh well, guess these questions are better asked in the other hasbro threads based on line. Sorry I am taking your finds thread to ask my hasbro questions Chad. Glad you were able to find something new.

No problem Tamer, the tri droid is also painted similar to the super battle droid.

Been hitting walmarts pretty hard the last few days looking for the build a droid sets with no luck.  It has been pretty barren up here for a long time.
Title: Re: Central Minnesota
Post by: Darth C on June 29, 2008, 04:46:51 PM
Target had the rancor marked down to $27.98 with 12 of them in this store, would expect them to be marked down to 75% before they are gone.  Order 66's down to $6.98 with around 12 of them left.  Walmart is as barren as the dune sea.  Have yet to see any of the build a droid sets around this area.  Hopefully will start seeing some activity around here soon.
Title: Re: Central Minnesota
Post by: Darth C on June 30, 2008, 01:33:08 PM
Well the dry spell is over for now, found all 6 of the build a droid packs and the 3 new comic packs.  Walmart had 3 displays of the comic packs and about 6 displays of the droid factory packs.  They also had a tone of various TAC figures, not good in my opinion.

Stopped by the Target in Elk River after work to see if they had any clearence stuff, but they had nothing.

Title: Re: Central Minnesota
Post by: Darth C on July 10, 2008, 06:15:52 PM
Stopped by a target and walmart the other day.  Walmart still had lots of droid factory sets and the new comic packs.  Still no sign of any cw or legacy stuff yet.  Target still has lots of rancors over a dozen, but still only 30% off.  They have now marked all of there tac and legends down to $4.64, so it seems like target is getting ready for the new lines.

Stopped by the Elk River Walmart and Target today after work.  No life of any CW/Legacy stuff at either.  Target has basic figures marked down to $4.64.  Walmart has much of nothing.

Went on a run today after work and Target put out some GH figures with the CW cards.  Also saw the GH xwing and jabba set.  Still have the rancors and 66's at 30%.  Walmart nothing new on that front.

Stopped by target and walmart last night.  Still no sign of any of the new stuff leaking out.  Target has there basic figures marked down to $3.32, but the rancor and 66's still only 30% off.

My stores have a ton of legends on the pegs and I bet they try to get full price out of em and then I will have to deal with em clogging the pegs preventing new waves from coming out.  At least your pegs should clear with prices like that.
Title: Re: Central Minnesota
Post by: Darth C on July 23, 2008, 02:14:18 PM
Stopped by 2 targets today.  First store has cleared out about 5 feet of space for the new stuff with a sign that syas, available July 26th.  There prices are going to be $7.99 for basic figures and $12.99 for comic packs.  They had a few tac figures left.  Ran the DCPI's and they got legacy, CW, and evoultions in the back, but not there exclusive commander fox, which is going to be $12.99(what a rip Target!)  The second target not much going on there, but they did have the fox figure in the back.  Did free them up of 3 more gen mcquarries.

Post by: Tamer on July 24, 2008, 05:53:33 AM
Wow, I sure hope wally world doenst raise their basic figure price. Do you realize we are paying deluxe figure prices for basic figs now?  Looks like I won't be buying much at target other than store exclusives.

1315am Walmart in Monticello, again absolutely nothing.

0630 am Walmart in Monticello, again absolutely nothing

0700 am Walmart in Buffalo, found all waves of figures to be released, the battlepacks, and medium sized ships.  No BMF or AT-TE

0800 am Target in Monticello, found wave 1 of CW and wave 1 of Legacy, med sized ships, evolutions, Commander Fox, BMF, AT-TE.

0915  am TRU in St. Cloud, pretty much everything there and can't get the holo grievous until tomorrow.

0700 pm Walmart in Monticello only had out some basic figures.

Made a few stops today after work, not looking for any SW stuff, but di check anyways.
Walmart in Elk River, finally put out all new displays.
Target Elk River, pretty much all of what they had to offer on Sat.
Target in Monticello, pretty much the same.
Walmart in Monticello, not much of nothing, just basic figs on the pegs.  Don't know if they are getting the displays or just haven't put them out yet.

Chad your stores are over the top. I still haven't seen wave two hit my closest wal-mart and my farthest I have only seen wave 3 twice and then most were gone. Kind of funny that usually your targets were the great stores and now it seems your wal-marts are doing the best. Have your targets every caught back up?

Went up to St. Cloud today, since it was a rain day.  Stopped by 2 targets and a TRU.  Tru had the anakins mod starfighter, jedi starfighter with hyperring, more tie fighters.  I haven't seen those around for a long time.  Target had the new comic packs, more of the speeder bp's and anakins mod starfighter.

Made a few stops today before my dentist visit.  Found the FU dvd packs at my second walmart.  The first one had nothing out and the second one just had them on the shelf with the other figures.  Saw more of the legacy wave 3 at both stores.  Target had not much new, they did have a couple of Fox's marked down the $6.48.

I saw those Ultimate Battle Packs also, the Pit of Carkoon and the Battler for Christophsis, and for $63 each, I was underwhelmed.  The Carkoon one was just a plastic mold of a sand dune with an okay looking Sarlaac monster, and of course the Skiff, which was plain as can be; no weathering, no detail.  The figures were terrible. Absolutely terrible.  The Christophsis one was better, in that the ships were fine, but the figures were just repacks, so not much new there.  I guess I could almost see paying for that BP over the Carkoon one since you do get 2 ships and 5 or 6 figures.
