Former Jedi Master Krav Azar was or is a Grey Jedi who had left the Jedi Order because he could not support the Jedi Code any longer and followed his own ways of exploring both the Light side and the Dark side of the Force.
After the Battle of Geonosis he returned to Coruscant, offering his service to the Order for the times of need.
This appearance before the High Council caused some uneasiness with the Council Members as they could not sense him or his motives in the Force and were surprised by the sheer power radiated by the Grey Jedi after Master Azar dropped his Force-driven shielding for a moment to let the Jedi try to explore him.
Grand Master Yoda who had known Master Azar when he was a Jedi was most surprised to see that Azar had barely aged since they had met face to face decades ago and rejected his offer of support as he felt he could not trust nor control him enough.
Krav Azar vanished after this episode, only rumors spoke of rogue Jedi activities not sanctioned by the High Council during the Clone Wars.
Due to his Force abilities, Master Azar survived the Jedi Purge, disappearing completely until becoming an instructor for the Imperial Knights.
He trained Treis Sinde to Knighthood and passed on much of his ways on to him.
After Sinde became a Master himself, Azar retired and has not been seen again since then.
