JT, I did both.

The walkways and door are decals, all the rest is paint.

Plain old Windows Movie Maker....It's probaly the simplest to use of all and it's free. Only  problem I've experienced with it is system slowdown, so your pc needs to be up for it if you place a lo of demands on the software. I can d a movie mking tutorial if you like?

They are just tunes I have in my music collection.

Music has always been a passion of mine and often I hear a track and I know It'll be great for a video. If you are looking for music there is a great program called Last FM, once installed it listens to any music you play on either iTunes or Windows Media Player andthen makes recommendations for music you'd like. It also does the same with any artist or track you enter into it. Also Web Radio is a great program for just expanding your music listening.

Another interesting program is WavePad, it's a free, easy to use piece of software that can cut, mix and alter music tracks. It woorks in a similar way to Movie Maker.

Hey, Jules need to ask a question how do you Isolate the figures in a picture do you use green screen or not. You showed us how to bring pictures for backdrops on your thread. I just need the secret of how you get the figures by themselves.

Jt,

I'm not sure what you mean??? Are you referring to Photoshop? If you are, no I don't use a blue/green screen, I tried it, but it lft risidual colour on the gloss surfaces.

If you are trying to take shots of figures to edit into other images, what I usually do is photograph them in close up with a distant background. The background usually blurs and so it's relatively easy to use the polygonal lasso tool to cut the figure out of the image.

I hope that made sense. If not PM me and we can discuss it further....

Hell Hangarbay 94,
I am new to all this an to tell you the truth your work inspired me to want to start my own, I mean I use to do dioramas as a kid but nothing like the work people are doing today. I would great fully ask if there is any way you could email me some full size picture walls and floors or stuff for your star wars dioramas? anything everything, I got a lot of stuff in mind. Unless you could teach me how to make my own that would be great.  Right now I just want to do this one in Revenge of the sith where obi is hanging from that ledge when he is on Utapau. General Grevious is trying to nock obi off. I need the floors, walls and under him, like if obi 1 is about to fall. There is a diorama like this on youtube, but I want to ad a ship and change a few things.  I'd love to do the jedi temple like you did, but I wanna start off slow learn the basics and maybe one day I will try it, I  could definitely use those floors and walls you did in that. Excellent work. Any way Thank you for your time
