Just got a superb present from a good friend, a collectible that eluded me for a long time already: Rawcliffe pewter Darth Vader's TIE Fighter - really cool and detailed for its size, well worthy of my collection:

I waited for more than 10 years for this DVD to be released: Vlad Tepes original licensed DVD, containing the real historical depiction of Vlad the Impaler’s life and struggle against the fierce Ottoman Empire. It is not a documentary, it is a movie with some great Romanian actors.

The movie was released in 1978, is directed by Doru Nastase, and Vlad is played by Stefan Sileanu, there couldn't be a better suited actor to play him. The movie received ACIN 1979 Award, and the Sitges Spanish Award in the same year. The DVD is Region Free - All so it can be played on any DVD player, it is spoken in Romanian and has English subtitles. This movie is A MUST for any Dracula or Vlad Tepes fans.

Be sure to watch this one with Stefan Sileanu as Vlad and not other Vlad Tepes movies. ;)

I just got framed a nice piece of pop-art: hand printed lithograph with scored punch outs - it is quite big too:

Serg, thank you for the Christmas Card.

I also wanted to let you know that I spent a part of my morning on page one of your collection showing my father in law, who is helping me in my current project, your great collection especially your display cabinets and I am using this style to design my own entertainment center / bookcase / display shelf area.

I am going full glass doors because I like the look of yours so much. I am assuming those door hinges are spring loaded to stay shut? I am going to use the push button corner ins and outs for mine, but I couldn't see anything like this for your cabinets so I am assuming the stop is in the hinges.

Time to get this collection back on the front page.

Thanks Shawn. Glad you got the card! Not sure how are the  push button corner ins and outs but indeed my doors hinges are spring loaded and they stay shut or open. The glass is very heavy so when you make your cabinets try to lower the back legs of the cabinets. Not sure how to explain it but if I open all the doors to a cabinet a LOT of weight is in the front. I never open them all together, but having all the cabinets held together by special connectors and also a few millimeters lower on the back legs helps - like a fridge where if you do this the door will always close behind you. You can also try to connect the cabinets to the wall in the back.

Awesome display!

Thank you :)

I understand what you mean Serg. I was thinking the same thing about my doors and this whole thing will be attached to the wall at many places in the wall's framework so I won't have to worry about that. I will show you what I mean about the push button door holders when I get to that stage. Once again, your cabinets have been my inspiration and after I get this done I am planning on doing some more display cabinets that are not so high in another section of my basement den man cave.

I framed 2 signed Ralph McQuarrie prints from the last 3 remaining in my collection. I kept only the Imperials prints. You can see the evolution of this talented artists signature, the first one was with full sig and the latter, when Mr. McQuarrie was ill the autograph consisted only in the R.M.Q. initials alas.

Attakus 1:5 Stormtrooper statue in a trade with a good friend. One of the last representations of the Stormtrooper that I needed for my collecting focus:
