We will surely see more details at Toy Fair in a few weeks, but it has been reported that Jazwares has partnered with Hasbro for a new line of "G.I.Joe" toys:

That's an interesting turn of events! Especially because it was Kenner's own brand. I'm glad I was already collecting when Hasbro launched their last line of Joes. I got five figures for 2,99€ each at Woolworths back in 2007ish for customizing. It's crazy for how much cash they go nowadays. But it's obvious to me when I look at all the great figures of this line - super-articulation and TONS of accessories...well Hasbro, where are they now?
I'm glad that Hasbro sold the license to someone else because they confirmed several times that they had no interest in making more G.I. stuff. So instead of just sitting on the License, they give another company the chance now. Let's hope the demand iis high enough. And I hope Jazwares leaves out the screws in the figures' legs.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!
Thanks for spreading the word, Dan!

I see this is either really great news (they are gonna focus really hard on SW) or awful (they just don't care about even lines they own the rights too). Toy Fair will hopefully see some clarification on this with outright news and Hasbro's presentation.
