Hi Everyone!
I seem to be amassing lots of creative stuff so I thought I'd put together a web site to display it all.... It's not trying to be another Imperial Shipyards, it's simply a showcase for my work.
As well as my work I'll also include a resource page, where I'll put diorama decal sheets and vehicle decals.
It's not finished yet but please take a look and let me know what you think...

Looks good Jules. Easy / self explanatory lay out, I like it.
-
Very cool! All of the wonder in one easy to locate page!
-
Cool I might need to make me one of those to showcase my work over the summer as I'm having severe computer troubles at home and can't access this site unless I'm at my grandparents as I am now. Looks great Jules.
-
Looks great Jules. Once again your graphic skills are awesome.
-
looking great from what i can see im at 64kbs ATM and takes forever to download lol.... took me 20 minutes alone just to view your awesome new chapter of XA
-
Ahhh...that's the soundtrack....I've now removed the soundtrack, that should make things run a bit faster....
Did the FP take long to load?
NEWS ITEM...
I've just been asked by a Modder to do some Mission and Cutscene artwork for a superb Clone Wars Mod "Rise of the Empire" for the X-Wing Alliance game...it's actually thwe guy who created the original in-game briefing screens....how cool is that!
heres the link to the MOD's screenshots...it sounds like great fun. I'll show you the Artwork when I'm done..

Awesome Jules, are all these new images, like the back Grounds and so forth from the game with the brilliant touch up's from yourself?
i cant get over how .............. VIVID these Panels are!!
-
Trev,
I'll show you what I used to create the backround...
The image below is a screen grab from Mission 3 of the game. (Although I'm on Chapter 5, it's still only mission 3 of the game). I cut out the cargo cannisters and then added the nebula image behind them. I then added a starfield behind that. I used the Colour Balance tool to alter the nebula colour to a more bluish tone and set the layer opacity to about 40% so that you could see the stars through it.
I then added a new layer set to "Screen" and just airbrushed the sun into the image to emulate the original. Finally I added the Falcon, which is one of many images taken of my son's Falcon, that lives in their...(eherm, our), playroom...

Ok, for those of you who never visit the web-comic forum, SHAME ON YOU!!!
If you like Star Wars art, then the image below is just a snippet of one page out of around 30 that will be featuring in the next exciting chapter of X-Wing Alliance...It should be ready by the end of the month, if not sooner...

-
Oh man that looks awesome Juales! Can't wait!
-
Cool deal. Boy this one looks to be full of space battles. I like it.
-
Here are a couple of images I am particularly pleased with, it's for part 2 of Imperial Horizon, written by Phatty and illustrated by me...
The one with the two Ewoks is a composite using a Ralph Mcquarrie painting. Who needs to build dioramas when you've got Photoshop!!!
And here are some photos that went towards creating the latest chapter...

-
Hell YES! I swear, you had a direct line inside my mind, because those are exactly what I had envisioned! Great works, and I can't wait to see the next chapter all set to go!
-
WOW! :o All of these look great but I really love the first 2 you photoshoped! Well done Jules!
-
every picture is a statement of perfection...
-
I really liked that top photo and the lighting effect is just spectacular. I also like how the writing is integrated around the images, that is a nice effect. You have enough dark edges for me to be able to read. I also like the fact that both the writing and the images are so integrated meaning that both build on eachother and don't overpower one another if that makes any sense.
-
Stunning images, Jules. I must have missed that one that you posted on the 7th. I love everything about that one.
-
another bunch of fantastic images, great play with light and out of focus!
and you took the words right out of my mouth: Who needs to build dioramas when you've got Photoshop!!! :)
-
Thanks guys, its always great seeing your reactions. At the moment I'm having a lot of fun putting Pats words into pictures which has given me renewed inspiration.
-
Hi everyone,
I'm now working on the next part of Imperial Horizon. Here are a couple of artwork teasers...
-
:o FANTASTIC Stuff.... excellent captured mood.
-
How do you do that lighting effect?! Freaking sweet Jules.
Wow, I wish I had even a fraction of your graphic design skills, just a little bit!
-
Julian the images are fantastic! Really love the shot with Ace and the sun rays coming through the trees!
-
Jules, you have me salivating! I can't wait to see my words put to your images once again!
-
Wow! Just...wow. Awesome teasers.
-
awesome
-
This re amazing pics jules!
-
Thanks to Art De Whill I've been trying my hand at more adventurous artwork using model kits. Here is a composite created using a 1:72nd scale Spitfire and Heinkel He111 that I've recently made. I know it's not Star Wars, but it is something I wanted to show you guys. I've created a movie type poster and then a painting effect.
I'm thinking a photo novel story set in WW2, Pat, if you're reading this, what do you say, another collaboration perhaps?

-
great pictures
-
I wash my hands in innocence ;D
jokes aside, I am very glad to hear that I served as inspiration.
Again you did a great job: roaring action and stunning clouds!! Its like I am in plane up there, too.
And of course it doesn't have to be Star Wars every time. The main thing is that you share your stunning work with us :)
THX for doing so.
-
" roger that sarge "
-
Jules this work of art is stunning! You know it doesn't have to be SW to get me excited. Very well done and great composition. A WWII photonovel would be awesome!
-
how can we not be inspired by the bravery and courage displayed in the greatest aerial battle known to man ,great image mate
-
Jules, it's a great piece of work to be sure! It's virtually impossible for me to say no to a project with you, so we will have to discuss it a bit and go from there!
-
i honestly think that Jay would be you man for this project as well Jules.... after a many hours of talking to the astromech god, i now call him a historian in this department he knows sh!t tins (a hell of alot) about this subject, he loves his fighter jets,
i keep telling him he should of been a history teacher...
-
Thanks guys for all the comments, I've quite enjoyed making these model kits, though it's been a while. I'm now gearing up for the next season of X-Wing Alliance, so I'll leave you with a final Non-Star Wars image, also created from my 2 model aeroplanes. Enjoy!
-
Jules, this is absoutly amazing - true WW2 aviation art!!!!
-
Oh man Jules, that dog fight image is awesome! The clouds and sun coming out is intense! The aircraft look great and I love the way you have captured the moment in the sky. Very well done my friend!
-
Thanks guys...
These are the last ones promise...it's just that I saw these airships while looking for images and thought WOW they would look cool in my images...

very retro future mate
-
:o :o
FANTASTIC!! I just love this retro thing. Excellent mood/light/composition! Simply a masterpiece. I love it, especially image #1.
-
Sweet. Reminds me of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
-
Sweet. Reminds me of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
yes, thats right - I loved the look of that movie.
-
Sweet. Reminds me of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
thats exactly what i was thinking ! just couldnt remember the name of the movie lol
-
Actually, I think it looks more realistic than Sky Captain. Jules, you've blown me away. Again.
How does this site manage to attract and keep the artistic talents we have?? It's awesome!
-
sweet
-
Thanks guys, these were just a bit of fun so I appreciate all of the feedback.
-
Oh wow! More tantalizing images! I love the skyline and the blimps are sooooooo cool. Reminds me of transports escaping in Empire. Well done and what is with promising these are the last ones? You know how much we enjoy these? Just as much as your SW stuff! I applaud you and your diversity!
-
It's funny, because there are two stories I've been wanting to illustrate. One is a Flash Gordon style illustrated novel, 1930's TinTin type of thing, and these images would really suit that piece of work.
The other is a story about a secret organisation of Micro agents. Set up in the 1960's during the Cold War their secret base is located in a large book located on the top shelf of a massive library in the United Nations....
2 great ideas for children's books, if only I had the time!!!!
-
both of those ideas sound cool, Jules. Especially the latter. Those latest images are stunning.
-
Why thanks Clint, it is always a pleasure getting feedback from you.
-
Time. The nemesis of the creative. I know that foe well.
Jules, these are so awesome looking! So realistic, it's as if you were there in the sky photographing them as they flew. I definitely think this is a project we can work on together, though it may be some time.
-
Hi folks...
I just thought I'd show some of the artwork that went into the Illustrated story that Pat and I just finished off...I hope you like them!

HO...LY...Crap! These are such awesome images! Where is that imperial outpost from? Did you make that behind our backs?! I need to see more!
-
Sorry to disappoint LE, but it's just a 3d mesh I found on the Web. Funny you should point out that image, it was possibly the most labour intensive one I did for the story as there are so many different elements, all of which needed a ton of work to blend.
-
Jules, those are fantastic! such great use of color, light and shadow...so cool!
-
AMAZING, as always, fantastic mood/lighting and exciting POVs!
-
Those AT-ST shots blew me away. Excellent, all were good, but as I like the ground vehicles those hit home with me.
-
Dude, we need an applause smiley. Those pieces of art - for that is for sure what they are - are incredible! Awesome work - again!!
-
the ewok look cool
-
Your hands definitely were not idle over the holidays, my friend. Awesome work!
-
woow, amazing artwork jules!
-
Guys,
As some of my favourite CD-Rom games are getting quite old their cases are also looking worse for wear so I decided to create new CD Jewel Cases for them. To do that I've used the Fellows print labels and cases and have designed my own covers and inners.
Here is some of the artwork I've created so far...
HOMEWORLD STRATEGY GAME -

-
I'm lovin the DVD case and label!
-
Holy smoke.
I do not know how some SW based company has not grabbed you up to do their artwork for them. Wow Jules.
I have not played this Homeworld strategy game that sounds cool, but I sure do have all of those old pc cd-rom games. It has been years since i got them out. No way those would load on a modern windows system. I would love to play em again.
-
Shawn, I've got an XP system right next to me and all it does is play old games like the ones you see here. It' doesn't connect to the net so there's no antivirus crap slowing it down...it's my baby!!!
-
Jules this is awesome work! I agree with Shawn!
-
most exciting stuff, I enjoyed every piece :)
-
Thanks guys...
I've been sorting out my workspace and getting rid of stuff that takes up too much room. I normally have all of my favourite DVD's and games close to me, but it didn't look professional when my clients came to visit so I need to shrink down my collection. By replacing the large DVD boxes to the smaller and neater CD cases I can still have a nice collection but in a much smaller space.
Here's some more that I'll be keeping in my small but essential collection...my 'desert island discs' if you will....

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Blakes7, it was a British sci-fi show from the 70's and very early 80's. Awful special effects but possibly the best set of characters ever created for a Sci-fi show, and a format that has been copied in shows like Andromeda (uuurrrgghhh) and Firefly (yay!!!)
More of my collection to come...
-
Sweet. Once again, great graphics.
-
Very nice, Jules! Nope, never heard of Blake's7 even though I did watch 70s and 80s british sci fi somewhat. got introduced to Hitchhikers Guide that way.
-
Oh my, very nice indeed! I need to check into these other ones you have shown. I have never seen either one.
-
Really nice!
-
It all looks rockin but I love the Emperor art the best!!!
-
cool images mate
-
cool
-
Thanx guys!
-
Here are the last CD cover designs for my essential Sci-fi film list

-
I'm loving these covers, especially the Alien/Aliens version!
-
This is truly impressive Jules
Once again, fantastic graphics
-
Woow that alien cover is awesome!
-
Here is a piece of art I worked on for the next X-Wing chapter, unfortunately it won't make it into the final draft so rather then let it rot in some folder on my PC I thought I'd show it to you fellas!
-
Wicked shot, buddy. I like the reflections on his visor.
-
Oh my that is a superb image! As Clint said the reflection on the goggles is a gret touch. I love the view outside the cockpit andbehind the pilot. Hey that pilot looks like Grizz Frizz! Thanks for sharing!
-
I love your style, but I think the angle, perspective, on the engine and wing are off from the cockpit...
-
Spooky,
Yea, you are probably right, the original image was taken from the cover of an X-Wing novel I think, here is what I used:
The final image I will be using is this (for those of you who don't want a spoiler look away now!!!)
So fortunately we won't be seeing the wing section!!!
Well spotted though...
-
I love looking at your images, but that wing/engine just looked off to me...
-
Wow, great blow up image! I liked the other one too!
-
Wow, that's too bad it won't be used, because it's a great image. I like the use of colors in it as a whole.
-
Woow jules thats amazing!
-
Hi everyone!
This is an image showing a latest custom with an imaginary Star Wars storyline...set 2 million years after Yavin, Star Wars Apocalypse is set in an anarchic Galaxy and is about a thief turned good guy who is recruited as a secret agent by the Galaxy's last Industrialised Star Sector.
-
Oh yeah! Sounds like my type of story.
Does this mean you are starting a new Web-Comic? I can't wait to hear more about this.
I had to get this on the fp. Wow I am getting excited. A new project from Jules, its gonna be good.
-
Hell with X Wing Alliance I've already got my hands full...
This is just a 'what if' idea right now, but I'll be producing some customs set in this timeframe...
-
LOL. I figured it was a lot.
Still, what a neat concept.
-
Spooky,
Yea, you are probably right, the original image was taken from the cover of an X-Wing novel I think, here is what I used:

Well spotted though...
That is the best "explosion" scene that I have ever seen! I love the way that you just did not make a "fireball" out of it and included electric arcing as well fantastic work my friend, just fantastic!!!!
-

Excellent custom, it reminds me of the McQuarrie concept for the Rebel trooper. I love the storyline that you described, no one has ever gone that far into the future with Star Wars. I hope this project comes into being!
-
Oh, well done! I like the concept. This is very cool!
Via Google: Today is the 119th Anniversary of the first documented Ice Cream Sundae...Have a happy Sundae!
-
That iis a breath taking image my friend! This new verse is very interesting to say the least. I have been parting out some space pirates that may fit into this verse as well.
-
Very nice, I like the idea of taking a story completely out and away from what we've seen before.
-
That's an awesome picture for Apocalypse! I hope you get around to making it. It looks like a great story idea and would be cool to read.
bbfet
-
That "Apocalypse" image is gorgeous!
-
wow, that "Apocalypse" image just rocks, its a masterpiece, thrilling poster artwork!!
-
I just wanted to create a piece of artwork using my latest custom....enjoy!
-
Very sleek my friend!
-
That is fantastic Jules!
-
wow, again: great poster artwork!!!
-
Oh yeah. I like the action shots you always do with your new customs. Great stuff. On the front page as are my comments.
-
Tamer, it never ceases to amaze me how you and Pat continue to champion the work of the artists and customisers, even though you rarely create work of your own. From a personal point of view I still get a buzz when my work appears on the front page, so thanks once again for your time and enthusiasm, it is very much appreciated...
-
Well for me one of the high points of my day is getting on here to see the creativity and my customizing is about making sure I do everyone's work justice on the front page!
[at1]
-
Awesome image as always, Jules. I love the integrated graphics.
-
Love your new customs; the background artwork looks fantastic too!
-
Truly amazing Jules, I love your work!!!! lvva
-
Guys, this is the first sneak-peak at what is to come...
I will be illustrating a story written by Kessel Run Imports, featuring customs by Luke Sprywalker and possibly other forum members, this promises to be a very cool collaborative effort. We are still at a very early stage, but the project is definitely gearing up for action.
More news as it happens folks!
-
Graphic looks really good. Again, great use of colors. Let me know if I can help in any way with the collaboration..
-
Beyond words Jules, outstanding
-
FANTASTIC WORKS!!!!! Have you considered a limited series of signed prints? I know i would love some. Thanks.
-
Wow. Great Graphic. On the front page.
-
Another amazing graphic Jules!
-
Apocalypse looks like it could become a truly amazing story!
-
that is one pretty image, Jules!
-
Thanks guys...I'm really looking forward to starting this project...
-
I love the whole premise for the story, great idea Jules! I saw your post over at RI, any takers yet?
-
Just browsed through your portfolio (that's what it's for after all ;) ) and as expected I am impressed, Jules. Your images are very vivid in colour and style. Love the X-Wing pilot shot, that's an awesome one.
The Blakes 7 artworks are amazing! I saw only a little of the show when I was 6 and don't remember much of it. But I do remember I thought it was a pretty scary show at times...
The Imperial Horizon shots each ooze atmosphere, great pictures.
And well, as you know I'm as much a fan of the X-Wing games as you, the cd inserts are a sight for sore eyes. Love that Totally Games logo in there!
The WW2 pictures are terrific as well (trying to find different superlatives here, mate :D). I'm a sucker for WW2 aviation and my first ever model kit was in fact a 1:72 Airfix Spitfire. If a can find the time I'll definitely pick up that hobby in the future.
You're a very talented man, Jules and quite an inspiration for many of us, myself included!
-
Incom, it seems that you and I share another thing in common.... Arfix's 1/72nd Spitfire! yep, my first model too.
It's great that you've taken the time to browse through my work and I really appreciate your comments. I'm sending you a PM as I have a slot open for our new image gallery and I'd love to give you your own showcase there.
-
Hi folks!
I'm now gearing up for the start of Star Wars apocalypse and blow me down I'm stumped at the first hurdle! I realised that as this is set far far in the Star Wars future I'll need to work with whole new ship designs, nothing can be recognisable from the existing Star Wars cannon. So after looking around for ideas here is the first image showing possible ship designs for the story...
The ship in the foreground may just possibly be our main characters mode of transport, a small yet long range transport, it's lightly armed but it has one trump card up it's sleeve.....A cloaking device!!!! If you have any thoughts or ideas for names I'm all ears... The image shows the ship being chased by what looks like Pirate Clan Star Destroyers....
The good thing about this project is that I am free to create stuff from scratch, design and style can be really different, so I'm going to try to create a whole new look taking the Graphic Novel genre up another notch or two...I only hope that I can go back to X-Wing Alliance after working on this...
-
Wow Jules looks great. I will see who beats me to the fp with it!
I am also getting this and your last pic full size so I can add it to the wallpaper gallery. I am using it as one of my backgrounds already!
-
Perhaps an older model "P-Wing" fighter, the Pick Axe?
-
How about the Star Wolf or the Wolf Star? The front end kind of reminds me of some type of canine feature.
-
Great stuff Julian!
Seems to me, with the cloaking device, that "Phantom" should be part of the name.
Maybe "The Phantom Menace" as a tip of the hat to the original universe.
Maybe "The Phantom Star", "The Phantom Anomaly" or "The Phantom Cuda" after the American Muscle Car the Plymouth Barracuda.
Just food for thought..
-
What an excellent recommendation! The Phantom Star! sounds great... Phantom Menace is also a bloody wonderful idea. It's a tough one... one that I shall ponder over.
-
Thats a stunner, Jules. I would like a framed poster of that one.
-
Got this up on our facebook page today too.
Has everyone seen our new Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?sk=approve&highlight=10150292083108093&ref=notif¬if_t=mention#!/pages/Imperial-Shipyards/234428276594079)? We would really like it if you would like it! ;D
-
Awesome job on this ones!
-
Hmmm...... nice image - Homeworldesque?
For some reason when i look at the image and that particular ship the name Void Rider comes to mind.
-
I was thinking "The Star Specter" also Jules.
RoadWarrior's suggestion of "Void Rider" has interesting implications. There was a ship referred to as "the Void Rider" in an issue of MARVEL Comics; STAR WARS #38. The story was kind of a side story from the regular stuff they were putting out, a filler right before "The Empire Strikes Back" came out. It centers around a mysterious ship that appeared suddenly after Luke and Leia's ship malfunctioned escaping Imperials, leaving them stranded in Hyperspace. The ship seemed to transcend time and space and was unlike anything the two had seem before. It's lone pilot had escaped a kind of Viral Apocalypse and became lost in the void in between space and time, eventually becoming one with his ship. The ship also had an advance droid who was programed in Lightsaber mastery. The droid nearly bested Luke in a duel.
Eventually the pilot realized that Luke and Leia were not enemies and returned them to regular space at the point at which they had jumped to lightspeed. Unfortunately the Imperials were still there and attacked the "Void Rider"... unfortunate for the Imperials that is. The "Void Rider" had an advanced bio-weapons system that was able to totally annihilate a squadron of TIE fighters and a Star Destroyer. The "Void Rider" jumped back into hyperspace leaving Luke and Leia safe and was never seen again.
It would be very interesting if this ship was somehow related the galaxy's future...
-
Oh now you are putting a huge spanner in the works! What an amazing story...
For this project I'm leaving the story stuff up to Kessel Run Imports, but I know he is checking out this post, so who knows.
Thanks DS for the rare snippet of Star Wars cannon.
-
That little tale DarthSinister's referring to, is one of my favourites from the Marvel era. The ship Luke and Leia fly is also one helluva design. I believe Luke also has to fight a very tough droid.
Here's some links to that:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars_38:_Riders_in_the_Void
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ship_%28sentient_spacecraft%29
And iirc, Leia looked very sexy in that issue....
-
The story reads more like a Star Trek episode, it's definitely outside the comfort zone as far as most Star Wars fiction goes....
-
I've been playing with ideas for the Pirate Ships, here is another test rendering....This story is going to be presented in a very cartoony/comic book style....
-
wow, stunning image, Jules, great colors and atmo!!
-
Hi folks!
Just an update on the Apocalypse project...
I'm going for a pure comic book look on this one, and combined with Kessel Run's writing and Luke Sprywalker's customs this promises to be a very exciting project.
I'm on page one right now but should be ready for a release fairly soon. In the meantime here is a quick teaser...
-
Whoooa awesome image jules!
-
very impressive Jules
the image is awesome
It's great to see the sandcrawler in action
-
Wow Jules. Impressive. On the front page.
-
I cannot wait to see this fresh new look into the Star Wars universe.
-
as always: fabulous stuff!! cant wait to feel the burning sun on my skin :)
-
I believe that I am in graphical overload seeing this. I like the comic book feel to this image for a change. So soft yet powerful at the same time.
-
Thanks for your comments everyone!
Now..I have a favour to ask!
I'm in the process of choosing a Pirate ship for the baddie, and I have narrowed it down to two ships...The Scythe, which has a more old ship feel to it, or the Mask of Anarchy, which is a sleeker, more menacing design...which do you prefer?
Armament - 2 x Heavy Turbo Cannons - 4 x Ion Cannons - Tractor Beam - 6 x Star Fighter Launch Bays
(http://i683.photobucket.com/albums/vv191/hangarbay94/Imperial%20Shipyards%20Stuff/Skythe.jpg)
Armament - Heavy Particle Beam - 12 x Anti Fighter Cannons - Rear Hangar bay
-
Definitely the "Mask"!
-
Yep jules, i agree with our friend here, The Mask Deffinetly!
Damien.
-
I'd have to say the Mask as well.
-
Definitely the "Mask"!
I second that :)
-
Well it looks as though we have a winner! I'll reserve the Scythe for another day.
-
Ok, so here she is in her début scene....
And here she is in comparison to a Star Destroyer....
In the far future smaller fighter type craft are too expensive to carry in large numbers therefore Space Cruisers carry minimal anti fighter defence, instead they are far more manoeuvrable than their distant counterparts and mount powerful beam weapons that can knock out an enemy in a single shot from far greater distances than Turbo Lasers. They are deadly but take time to re-charge, so ships also carry 'boarding tugs' carrying heavily armed terror troops, who attack and take control of their foes from the inside...
In a one-on-one fight the Mask of Anarchy would need to make a direct hit on a vital area of a Star Destroyer's hull if it were to have a chance of defeating it...but given the skill of the Pirate Ship's crew and the ruthlessness of her boarding parties, I wouldn't want to stay around and find out...YYYAAAARRRR!!!
-
Cool jules, great image and awesome info!
would be really nice to see that battle!
Damien.
-
Looks awesome. Love the name.
On the front page.
-
Thanks guys, this is going to be one hell of a collaboration!
-
Here is an image of one of the main characters and out-and-out bad ass Pirate... Rorch Visbach, Captain of the Mask of Anarchy....
-
Jules, your graphics are mind blowing. I can't wait to see your final presentation! That image of Rorch gave me such an epic feeling!
-
I agree, and I love the way you did the reflection in this shot.
-
this one rocks!! super awesome artwork, I love your style!!
-
This is looking really great Jules. I will fall off my chair if/when I ever see one of my figures in this story. :o
-
This is looking really great Jules. I will fall off my chair if/when I ever see one of my figures in this story. :o
Dude, I WANT TO FEATURE YOUR CUSTOMS IN THE PROJECT!
As you know each shot requires a lot of digital manipulation, resizing, shading, colouring, cutting etc, so it is important that the images supplied to me are of a very high quality otherwise it makes the process almost impossible. That is the only hurdle to overcome...
I now have all the characters needed for the first chapter, but I'm going to produce a list of characters for the next part as soon as I get it.
Jules
-
Intense imagery, Jules!
-
Oh jules thats an awesome incredible pic, can´t wait to see whats next!
Damien.
-
Jules we are all seeing your brilliance with the new ISY Look and we can only wonder what you will do with this project.
Great new teaser image, on the fp and we look forward to seeing more!
-
Awesome image!
-
Too cool, I lovr the reflection, can't wait to see this thing in it's whole!!!
-
WOW! once again I am overwhelmed by the wonderful comments, thanks everyone for your kind words.
I am having lots of fun with this project, mainly because I am not constrained by existing cannon, I can pretty much do as I like in terms of graphical and design styles, meaning I can be far more creative.
I am nearly finished now, but before I release the 1st chapter here is another character introduction....
-
As always, BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!
-
Oh yeah, another one to put on the fp tomorrow.
Once again another visual treat.
I would also love to hear how you guys have integrated your various styles. I think I am correct in that the majority of the figure customizing is Sprywalker, with Kessel Run Imports doing the writing, and then Jules doing the graphics.
Think me and Chad could get the three of you in a podcast call to talk about this great project and all the various parts of customizing this entailed? I would love to do a photo novel podcast.
-
She looks great! Nice work Jules.
-
There are two versions of Jez, desert dress Jez and travel dress Jez, the shot seen here is my own custom, Captain Horvan Vecanic (who you haven't seen yet) is my own custom, and all other figures are LE's.
As far as a podcast goes count me in!
-
she is a fantastic character! and this project is an awesome collaboration.
-
I'm getting very, very excited for this! I love the teaser images: this is what the OT was great at....allowing our minds to imagine instead of showing anything and everything about the story being told. The character reveals are looking awesome, great designs, looking totally "Star Wars-y"
This is going to be one awesome project to see completed! (Why can't Lucasfilm just hire you and Spry to put together the supposed live action TV series?)
-
Woow Amazing work on her jules!
-
Guys I'm sorry that I've not been about much lately, I've been in work mode I'm afraid.
The last couple of days I've been able to do some work on the next Apocalypse chapter and here is the main teaser poster for the episode. Special thanks has to go to Luke Sprywalker and CloneSniper78 for their superb custom adaptations of the Screaper's and of course Kessel Run Imports as he created the characters.

-
wow, mind-blowing teaser image!!! love it :)
-
Ooooh weee! Jules that is awesome and you have me squealing like a school girl with anticipation! I can't wait to see you bring this chapter to life!
-
Ok folks, this is the final teaser and artwork from the next chapter in the X-Wing Alliance series before its release in approx 4 weeks time. The edition sees the end of series two, so I intend to go out with a bang!!!
Here is the poster for the series finale...like I said, this chapter is going to be presented in true comic book format, along the lines of a Dark Horse comic.
And here is the final teaser image...

Tonight I needed to include a ship in the story that is rarely seen outside of the X-Wing game, and as a result there are no high resolution images on the net good enough for me to use. The game model has not been 'modded' therefore even the screen-shots are poor in detail.
The ship is the ATR-6 Assault Transport (see Wookieepedia for more details), it is used by a commando team called Storm Unit (also found in Wookieepedia) throughout the game and will also be featured in the upcoming chapter.
In order for me to use the craft I have had to Digitally Enhance it by adding new textures and a cockpit. It's a bit rough around the edges but the image is only going to be seen in a relatively small frame. Below are images showing the original in-game screen-cap and then my enhanced version. As far as I am aware my new version is the most detailed image of the vehicle.
I've been adding a Tech libraray to the Resources & Reference forum sowing more data on some of the enhanced craft I've been working on, so please check them out when you get a mo.

-
Wow Jules, your image blows the old one away. I can't wait to see this on the front page.
-
Very slick, Jules! Definitely a vast improvement over the original piece.
-
Jules the detail you have achieved with this is downright amazing. Daggone I would love to just sit and watch you create one of these sometime. On the front page now.
-
Very cool Jules! Can't wait to see it in action!
-
I know that this is not Star Wars related, but I wanted to show you guys the invite I created for my kid's birthday party. It seems it's caused quite a stir at his school as this evening I've had 4 e-mails asking me if I do commissions!
Unfortunately I'm too busy with other stuff but it's great fun doing it for my kids....
-
Pmsl ;D
-
Jules, that is awesome. You should probably own your own print company.
-
Luckiest kids ever! Jules, that is awesome, way too cool!
-
That is so well done, as usual, and so funny at the same time! Hoo Flling Dung Productions, great one.
-
That's great, Jules! I try and make something nice for my girls' birthdays each year as well, but have a long way to go until I reach your level ;D
-
super cool poster art!! always a pleasure to see how you create art on so many levels and themes.
-
Really cool poster!
-
Thanks guys for your kind comments!
-
Hi folks, I've been very quiet of late, life is really getting in the way of fun stuff at the mo, but I have managed to grab a bit of time to devote to my favorite hobby of graphic Novel creation. I've just posted part one of my latest project which has taken about 3 months to produce. This is where I'll post some of my favorite images from the first part...

-
I really like it Jules. Is has that Prometheus feel to it if that makes any kind of sense.
-
Ok, I'm getting started on the third installment of the Homeworld saga so I thought I'd post a couple of images to wet your appetites...

-
Looks fantastic. I cannot wait to see Chapter 2. Time to go tease this on the front page.
-
Beautiful artwork!
-
Jules your ability to imply motion with your images is simply perfect in my opinion. I would love one day to just sit down and watch you go crazy on photoshop. Not sure I could keep up, but man I don't think there is anything you can't do with a photo editing program.
-
Stunning stuff! I love the launch image especially.
-
oh yeah, what a teaser! Always a joy to watch your unique artworls, Jules, really love your visual language and talent in composition!
-
Looking forward to the next installment, Jules. You just keep getting better and better.
Echoing what Tamer said you definitely have the feeling that you're on the move in the desert scene. Great stuff.
What program are you using to create the faces again? Seems I asked you that once before, but I don't remember.
-
Consider my appetite wetted, Jules.
-
Here is another image from the upcoming chapter....

Simply cannot wait to see this new chapter Jules. Teaser graphic on the front page.
-
I've been taking a bit of time to work on the Homeworld saga and so here is a teaser image taken from the next chapter. I'm really looking forward to sharing this next installment.

Sweet art!
-
Nice, I am looking forward to seeing this new Homeworld Chapter. Beautiful artwork as always Jules. Time to get this on the front page.
