Title: Clone Sniper 78's other customs Chris Kyle Navy SEAL sniper WIP
Post by: CloneSniper78 on November 08, 2010, 11:48:29 AM: Here is a fully armored King Leonidas from the movie 300. I used a 7" NECA Leonidas head on a 7" NECA Perseus body from the movie Clash of the Titans. I also transfered King Leonidas's belt and sheath which took some cutting down of the inside of the belt to get it to fit around Perseus's waist.

I would love to see some pics without the flash and better yet out side in natural light. The true colors and the armor is hard to make out but I like the look of this one. I guess some may hve liked the figure if he was a new character...Destert Storm...nah. ;D

The Storm Shadow recipe is as follows.

SS head
Reactive armor torso and upper arms
Spin kick POC Snake Eyes lower arms and legs
SS weapons

The Snake Eyes custom is pretty basic.
City Strike Snake head and gear
Reactive armor body

For now the Quick Kick head will stand in. As you can see I am using a lot of different body parts. In the torso pic I just wanted to show how the TRU excl. Quick Kick comes with scars on his body that totally match Bruce's. Here is a list of the parts.

Post by: CloneSniper78 on April 08, 2011, 10:31:02 AM: I think I'm done with the Elf Warrior. If I do anything else to him it would be some kind of emblem on his chest or shoulder. Anyways, I finished his helmet and shield last night. I used one of my resin Captain America shields and I gave it some battle damage and painted it with Citadel Mithril and Chainmail, and the handles are made out of cut strips of leather. I used an Argyus helmet that I chopped up so it would fit around his ears. I painted it with straight Citadel chainmail. I added a piece of a CW missile to the top of the helmet and glued some Barbie hair to it. I repainted his head with Citadel Elf Flesh. I left the inside of his ears and his lips painted with Dwarf Flesh. I hope you guys like it.

Flesh tone is not easy to pull off and you have done it with flying colors! You could quickly take this to the next level and get some of the pastels like Hemble uses and brush something just a bit darker into the crevaces. I would like to get some myself. I will try to Front Page this bad boy in the morning.

The only suggestion I have is to cut the tabs off the arm gauntlet and glue it to the arm. It will look less bulky that way. Can't wait to see your paint aps!

Thanks Tamer, Kill Bill is one of my favorite movies and I've been planning to do this custom for at least a year now. I would love to see SithFire do a Pai Mei sculpt as well as a Gogo Yubari. I do want to try and make Gogo's weapon (Spiked ball w/long chain), even if I don't have a custom of her.

It's an old SlayerDesignStudios head. I wish somebody would pick up where they left off. There is such a need for custom heads and weapons.

Here are some great sellers that sell SDS casts, check them out, they are awesome. SDS is now selling through individual customisers who originally made the sculpts in the first place. I have bought from all of these sellers and they offer great service.

For those of you who don't know who he is, Chris Kyle is one of the best snipers ever in the world. He has the most confirmed kills of any US sniper, about 160. You can read his book called " American Sniper " I believe it is # 3 on the NYT best sellers list right now. Not that long ago Chris Kyle was murdered at a shooting range by a fellow veteran who suffers from PTSD. Chris Kyle is an American hero and this is the least I can do to thank him for his service and patriotism. R.I.P. brother.
