I agree with Tamer! Your skills are as legendary as the cars you work on. You do magic at lighting those in ANY scale! Slot car racing is such an awesome hobby to have. Thanks for sharing all those nice impressions.

Thank you DM, thank you!
I may need help finding my YouTube login so I can post some videos of this stuff. I think their owners are more secure about that stuff nowAdays.
About those legendary cars, here is that rare Richard Petty 69 Torino and another from the digital Torino livery.

Now about that grand sport, 30 some years later, a race team painted up a C7 Corvette with a deco that paid homage to that particular grand sport.
This one also has great foglight lenses just waiting to be lit up. The light cluster clear overlay is tinted yellow but I’m going to put the oranges in again, so it will go with the grand sport.
Should be easy, just going to rig them to track power, mount em, and stuff the wires. Should be a piece of cake.

Back to work again, boo

Little c7 Corvette got his fog lights, as did this pro street Camaro with yellows over the weekend.

Thanks Tamer.
This weekend was a bit quieter but I managed to add these yellow fogs to this semi rare 1/24th c6 Corvette.

Very nice Clint. Off to the front pages yet again. Man you make this lighting stuff seem easy and I know its not.

I was going to start a new topic for this one but it’s kind of a crossover and will work here.
AMT has been trickling in re-issued kits of a vintage line of 1/32 scale car kits that were meant to be converted into slot cars. In between them, revel/monogram, and whomever else, one would have been able to come up with a working motor and slot car chassis to integrate into those old kits of this scale.
Sitting on the shelf for a while, this is the AMT 1/32 61 Ford Falcon/Ranchero. I am going to merge the interior and chassis from a Carrera 67 Mustang slot car with this body, painted and lit to become a working digital slot car. “Wayne would love this”

While the wheelbase of the Mustang seems about right on with the Ranchero body, the Carrera torque thrust wheels and tires at the rear are a bit wide and I had to open up the rear wheel fender wells a bit to provide clearance and the chassis is sitting right to the body now.”last shot is after cutting”
I had saved the interior from the Mustang and cut off the back to be able to fit into the smaller cab of the ranchero and still leave plenty of room underneath for a chip. The stock roll bar was removed and I’ll mount it somewhere where you can see it through the back window.

I’ll sand my wheel wells and the entire body and shoot something as a primer coat. I’m going to try to shoot this one in acrylic. Two tone, red and black, like a rat rod. I haven’t decided if the black should
Be gloss or flat. The red should be gloss.

Got those box shots. The kit did come with some nice water slide graphics that one could use. The scallops are cool I wish they were a touch bigger.

Oh wow...I missed some stuff in here. The Ranchero is great. Personally, I'm an El Camino guy, but have always liked the "wanna-be" truck cars of the '60s and '70s.
