mir gefällt vor allem die beleuchtete Munitionsanzeige auf dem T-21 blaster
bin schon sehr gespannt wie dein Meisterwerk fertiggestellt aussieht

@Tamer: thanks a lot!! cool to hear that she will be a frontpage girl soon :D   pics with weathering on will come soon.

@Fiala: thank you for your great feedback :)  well yes, I really like those little light fx on the blasters and besides that they help to make that particular area of the image more interesting, also blue and orange are a wonderful pair of complementary colors and such pairings always bring life into a painting, even if they are tiny  ;)

Guess I was under a rock with some Jawas out in the Jundland wastes... oh wait nope, that's where I work haha--anyway I can't believe I missed this thread! As a fellow artist and lover of Star Wars I have to say I feel such immense honor at having had Art take a liking to my work! Whether they're just photo references, or actual digital renderings these are some of the coolest works I have ever seen. As a painter, photographer, and all around creative type (I like to think so anyway...) It's absolutely true what they say! "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." But allow me to clarify, these are no imitations--no-no, these are genuine works of awesome! There are few joys in the world like that of having a fellow artist, and friend create something inspired by something you have created. It's synonymous to musicians jamming together, composing together, and soloing in those jams--playing off one another and getting ideas and practice as they go.

Makes me proud to be a Yarder, Blogger, Collector, and of course, Fan.

Thank you for all the warm words Art, and all the support for Art's work is wonderful to see! AFE is proud to be collaborating with one of the Empire's finest creative engineers! Plan on this being a lasting arrangement ;)

By the time you're reading this (everyone) the wonderful WIP diptych will be up on the AFE home page. Oh and Art, it is already my desktop on my laptop!

Now if I may steel this thread for just a moment, I have a bunch of newly acquired figures and customs brewing! Plan to see a custom AT-AT Driver of our very own Tamer soon!

I greatly like your words about the musicians jamming together, thats exactly the way I see it, too!
cool to see Sandy on your blog, sure more works to come. Your blog - in fact the whole yards are full of fantastic inspirations and its too bad there is so little time to put my hands on them... but we all suffer the same here ;)
 again, thank you!!
BTW you found a fantastic title for the Sandy image, again I will keep this for the final image!!! cool, for I alway struggle with titles ;)
and I am looking forward to this AT-AT-Driver...

you ALL keep me going and your ideas are pushing mine!! I even got fantastic support from Mr. Stephen Stanton aka Voice of Captain Tarkin from TCW who calls himself a big fan of my works!!

Stefan thanks heaps for showing us how you actually do a painting I never would have thought that you did it layers like that amazing.  I still can't over how you get all the finer details into your work it has and will always amaze me.

Just stunning Art, the hand painted styler of your work always makes me look deeper into your images...I end up scratching my head and saying "how the hell does he do that?" I am constantly inspired by your skills.

Thank you so much, I am inspired by you, too and in awe about how you manage to invent all your great graphic novels, doing words and pics! Its cool to see so many different but complementing talents here at the yards.

yeah, I have the feeling that my work has improved and gotten more vivid since I introduced my hand painted techniques a bit, we'll see where this all leads me to ;)

Hey guys,

had a crap day at work, also not so looking forward to doing my health workouts today (but they are a must) so time to enjoy the Yards, get loads of inspiration out of your customs and throw some enjoyment (hopefully) back to you :)

here is my teaser of an upcoming action figure artwork - I know everyone is waiting for me to get my female Sandtrooper finished, but I have this one is up on my sleeve, too.  So stay tuned ;)
