Title: Clonehead's YouTube Channel
Post by: Clonehead on April 11, 2010, 06:08:33 PM
Haven't gotten my channel spruced up or full of videos yet but I did upload three of my Florida trip videos tonight.
Here's one of the two airboat ride videos that I shot.

Hey man! I stumbled across your Youtube reviews. Can I give some advise? Could you pan back some so we can watch you open the figures your review? It would be more exciting to see you free the figures. All I see most of the time is just your hat. Thanks man!

I will see if I can do that and still be able to do a close up of the figures with the remote control zoom. I just started using this handycam of my girlfriend's to do these and I am still getting used to it.

I need some more new product to review and there is not alot out there.

None of us here are professional camera operators by any stretch. We just try to do what we can to show folks the new goods. I just appreciate Clint being willing to take the time to do them and then deal with the issue of loading them up to Youtube.  I kinda like Clint's Navy hat!

Its all good, I just want to see the packaging being opened to make of for the time that I am waiting for his review. Most of the time is spent on his Navy hat. We want to see the toys throughout the whole video. :)

I am sure all of us will get better with our videos the more we get under out belts, thanks for watching and please subscribe to our channel and tell your friends.

You are right DSD, that's the one thing that bugged me about those latest videos. I will see if I can get a longer shot on today's videos and hopefully use the camera's zoom to get a clear close up shot when I want one to show some details.
It's a learning process and I do appreciate your feedback.
The whole idea of filming myself opening this stuff was to tease poor Tamer, of course, who typically hates to open anything. "woot"

LOL. I think I went through all of my opening patience with that walker. That plastic crunching sounds just sounds horrible! Removing those poor little guys from thier cardboard and plastic home seems almost dastardly. Still, I do look forward to your reviews and you just can't see the small details unless you are really up close.

Got two new review videos shot and uploaded today.
TRU exclusive Kul Teska http://www.youtube.com/user/TheClonehead#p/u/8/mcF6AIHtZvs (http://www.youtube.com/user/TheClonehead#p/u/8/mcF6AIHtZvs)

Clone Wars Pirate speeder bike with Cad Bane http://www.youtube.com/user/TheClonehead#p/u/7/xIhRm3Bsb-U (http://www.youtube.com/user/TheClonehead#p/u/7/xIhRm3Bsb-U)

I also shot this clip showing some of the new resin parts that I have available and how they can be used.
Custom resin-cast hollow helmets http://www.youtube.com/user/TheClonehead#p/u/6/CQLnFG7B6D4 (http://www.youtube.com/user/TheClonehead#p/u/6/CQLnFG7B6D4)

Deathstardroid, I went for a wider shot and was able to use the camera's zoom feature to get some close up shots. I wish the action of the zoom was faster but I was surprised at the clarity of the image when I zoomed in all the way. Practice makes perfect and it seems like I may be getting better at this. Now, I just need to find some more goodies to review.

tried a video review of the vintage collection gamorrean guard using my iPhone today. I seem a bit speech impaired and really miss using both hands and keep forgetting to have the figure on screen all the time but it does show off the figure a bit.

Cool deal Clint, on the front page. Thanks for giving me the embed code. I am loading it up now.

I really need to get all of your review videos so I can load em up on our channel sometime. I would hate to loose this great resource. You know your figs my friend.

That one turned out a little wonky for me but it was the first time shooting a review with my phone. This is the low res version but I have the option to post a high res version to the shipyards channel directly from my phone. I believe that I have the ability to edit these videos with my phone as well.

Hard to believe just from a phone. I watched the video before I left for work this morning and thought outside of the narrow width that it was great. I thought the resolution was fine. For a phone I think its fantastic.  I am just gonna see if there is anyway I can work with the widths to see if I can just get the video screen.

Hey, I wonder what it would look like if you turned the phone on its side and did the video vertically? Might be good. Anyhow I liked it Clint. It shows other folks that there are all kinds of ways to do vids too.

Yep, it will work sideways and fill the screen. I will try that for the next one and try an hd upload. Looks pretty crisp on the phone.

I published a new vid today reviewing the new EE Exclusive mando comic pack figures.
This is the 3rd review shot, edited, and published entirely from the phone. I went slightly over the 10 min mark with this one and had to edit out the last part showing me and plugging the yards. I ordered a mount for the phone that should allow me to shoot with a less shaky result and allow me to use both hands during the reviews with the figures and accessories.

I seem a little tongue tied throughout both of these videos and for that I do apologize. I will try to loosen up before shooting next time.

LOL, way ahead of both of you. The mold for the nubbed version was cured this morning and is casting well. I will have to get around to doing a hollow version. Don't know if that will be tonight or not as I am just swamped with orders. Right around the time I get em caught up, I get 5 more.
