Its that time of year to start thinking about fantasy football. There is a ton of time to think about playing but it's never to early to start.

Date and time is undecided, Live draft is prefered but we will have to decide in the next 2 weeks.

Yepper, I much prefer the live draft. Besides, folks that can't be there will just get the autopick or thier preffered list so its all good.

What I really need help with is the pre-draft preferred list. Is there a limit to the number of position players you can have. I saw the terms, but didn't take them into meaning.

You have to fill your roster of starting players as described, as far as who you choose to place on your "bench" no, there is no limit as to position, just roster size. You will want backups for your starters to compensate for bye weeks and injuries.

Yes, that is a good thing to have when Sunday comes around. I dream of big 50 inch or larger hd lcd tv. Little dreams.

Suggestions for draft dates, A friday night Weekday night? time frame , I was thinking around 7 PM central anyday but Sept 2nd. I have my money league draft that night

Friday night works better for me, I have softball on Wednesday nights. I think most of our members are East coast or Central, so that should work well. I suggest Friday, September 4th at 7pm CST

Please review the updated scorring stats
I added a couple points for the individual def player to add value to the position.
Namely int and sacks went to 3 pts each from 2.
This is not the team DEF position rather individual def players only.
DRAFT sept 4th 7 PM central time, log in atleast 10 minutes early to ensure your system is working,.

I got one guy at work to sign up and another is gonna do it before tomorrow so that will give us at least 8! The more the merrier though! I even ticked off my wife and my hunting buddy who wanted me to go up to hunting camp by being there for the live draft. I can't wait! I am so ready for football season to start.

Well, I sure had fun in last night's draft. It sure was interesting to see the great rosters folks have. I look for some really high scoring match ups this year. Am I correct in thinking that stattracker with live in game scoring is free this year?

Adrian Peterson, Marian Barber, TJ whoseyourmomma, wes welker, philip rivers, Gonzo, etc. There are lots of great players still left! Wish I could have twisted your arm into getting a team this year! Alas, my mind control skills are getting weak.

A week in the books and no smack talk? I got my but handed to me this last week so I am hoping to bounce back strong this week.
Good news as a side note, I kick royal but in my work money league, this week I have my boss as my opponent. He's a good guy that rose through the ranks with the rest of us but I still would love to lay the smack down on his newly made VIP butt

No use for smack talk for me, I only won by six points. I have some reservations about a few of my team players. I will feel a little better after seeing week two games.

2 weeks in a row, and Drew Brees fails to net me over 10 points! BREES of all people! My Bears D and Daniel Manning did good for me, as did Pierre Thomas. I'm leading Reconsgt quite a bit now, but he's got the meat and potatoes of his lineup coming tonight and tomorrow, so it'll be close!

Pat and I are within 2 point at half time and it should be a close one. It' sbeen one of the more fun weeks for me as I am watching the Pack and then on FF.

I saw them do the same thing to my FF QB the other night. It sure stunk so I know how you feel. Still, I saw the score for that game and envisioned Rodgers getting all those TDs. I was surprised to see I was still in it to be honest. Still, it was great to see that both our favorite teams did so well today. Well yours did well, mine eaked it out, but is still in the hunt. When I saw Big Ben throw that interception the last three minutes of the game my heart was in my throat, but we held em off long enough to get the win. It may be ugly but winning is winning.
As for this FF game we have going. I knew it would be down to the wire with us. Both of us have great rosters and I know it will probably come down till Monday night in the very last quarter, which imo is the way it should go down. I have never won a season and won't lie I am psyched I am still in it. Still, as lucky as you are you will probably hoist the trophy again.

I actually won the nfl.com one I was in too. It was a good year for me. I had a lot of fun. I too can't wait for next year. I am thinking about nfl.com's playoff challenge. Anyone familiar with that and how it works?

Fantasy football is a game where a team owner drafts players, similar to the real draft, then on game day you pick a roster from the players on your team and you are awarded points based on those players performance in the weeks games. Essentially it sounds more complicated than it is and can be alot of fun. We do our league here as a free league so there is no risk.
