Fantastic droids, I've been wanting to do the 4-legged GONK for a while. I think you nailed him. I especially like the yellow one. The pop top one is great too, I love droids that come apart. The Lar's homestead GONK makes me Happy Happy Happy.
Welcome to the yards!

The fighures and especially the R2 droid looks amazing! Good job!

Your custom droids are awesome.
I love the richness of detail.
-
Wow! See this is what I am talking about with Hasbro dropping the ball on articulation! This is fantastic. Off to share.
Plus, you must put this in our latest contest we have going on with Yakface regarding REBELS:

CHOPPER.

CHOPPER side by side.

Good looking droid there.
-
Fantastic. See if you put yours on the pegs on a vintage style card I would buy multiples of this even if it isn't TESB (my only collecting focus). Ah, I can feel a rant coming on with your front page update.
Don't forget to enter this one in the contest too!

I would have to enter tis one on Yakface, correct? Being I already have a entry on the Shipyards?
-
Correct, or you can enter the same one (Kanan) at Yakface too by entering it into their forums for the same topics (link is found at the very first post in this section).
I am enjoying your work on these! and definitely reinforcing my thoughts they ought to do a line like this with more realism and articulation!
-
Mandalorian Sabine Wren. Enjoy. :-)

Oh hell with the sideways crapn I give up. :-P

This great gal makes me wonder why Hasbro doesn't release a three and three quarter, or six inch now for that matter, Mandalorian Female with every new wave of action figures they release. I think folks would collect the heck out of em. Nice work and off to our front page.
As for the image thing, I am not sure what is happening. I do know your image size is rather large and with the image restraints we have in our forums it might be posting this way for optimal size resolution. So, perhaps you could make em smaller or use a free photo hosting site like:
http://www.photobucket.com
and you could just paste the [img ] code directly into the place where you type your words and they would post directly. I know photobucket also gives you a chance to edit your photos and do rotate canvas too (in your case 90 CW). If you would like to try that out feel free to pm any of our friendly neighborhood Moderators and they will be glad to assist. I have taken the liberty of using my own photobucket account to change the rotation of your images. Works pretty slick!

Very nice work.
I know that checkerboard pattern must have been pretty hard to get that good.
I'm impressed with the helmet too. Is that a scratch sculpt, modified Mando helmet, or a purchased casting?
-
I agree with you on the Mando females per release. Loving the paint job, such a cool helmet.
What figure is the belt from?
-
Just plain SWEET!!!
i totally agree with Sjefke the shoulder crest is excellent, that is a great addition to your creation.

The helmet wasca mondified Mando. :-) shhhh, but do tell anyone. Lol

The belt and skirt is from the original figure, but modified. I cut it shorter for the sexy look, and I cut the holsters off a CW Cad Bane. :-)

very cool. I wondered when we'd see a custom of this character. I have an extra set of the cast armor from clonehead... i might have to give this character a go with joe style articulation... hmmm....
also, your paint apps are nice and smooth. Did you use a brush or a spray application of some kind?
-
That belt and skirt work is fantastic. I could easily see Hasbro making some accessory kits like these and selling a bunch of em.

The only spraying done was the primer. Everything else was brushed. There sadly lots of details lost in the photos. She has purple highlights in her hair, I used real makeup eye shadow, and lost of wash and dry brushing that you cant see in the picks. I probably should of waited for a r
sunny day and took her outside. :-P]

This girl looks incredible, dumb question, Is the helmet nubbed or hollow?
-
Execellent work on all the figures and if Hasbro make the new SW Rebels figure like you have I would get them in a heart beat.

Its Hollow. :-) I had a second so it would fit. :)
-
EZRA BRIDGER. Enjoy. ;)

Nice, you used the perfect base action figure for this custom too. Off to share on the front page.
And to think Hasbro will probably never give us this cool a version of Ezra. Just makes you shake your head.

Thanks bro. :-) I think I still get two more done in time to get a group photo fot the contest. :)
-
I was thinking if sculpting some hair bangs for him to slightly change the look. But if you look closely, he does have blue eyes now. All the sculpting was in the legs. :-)
-
Nice job on that Mando female!
-
Custom Star Wars Rebels, Hera Syndulla. Enjoy. :-)
-
Great figure. After looking at this, I have all the parts to make it. Me thinks I have a project tonight.
-
She turned out nice!
-
I tend to work in very poor lighting. Thats why I missed the blue in her arm sockets. :(
-
Although I really like all of your work, Hera is a standout to me!!!
-
Hi! I just looked at all you customs and I'm in awe. They are incredible!
-
She turned out nice!
I agree, I like your version better. So much more realistic and not styled after a Disney Princess which is what these characters are seeming to me. Off to share.
-
Jaw dropping good. That is just brilliant kit-bashing.
-
Wow, that's stunning!
Can't believe you didn't make this for the Rebels customizing challenge... ???

I am putting it in the contest. I'll post Zeb along with the team photo real soon. The group as a whole will be my official entry. :-)
-
Ah, ok - cool. Be sure to post at both sites, which then counts as a double entry.
Can't wait to see what else you have coming... and your Hera is simply fantastic. It comes together perfectly.

Can you give us a breakdown of the parts you used? I'm interested in the torso and legs in particular, but would love to know the whole formula.
Thanks!

Thanks!
I used a Cesi Doc Eirris, and CW Aayla Secura. And some heavy butchering. LOL
-
This is my last custom for the Rebels team line up. Enjoy, this is Zeb Orrelios. :)
-
The realistic style looks so much cooler to me. Off to share to the front page. Fantastic!
-
And a team photo. :)
-
Superb work on your bunch of custom Rebels! DH
If hasbro were coming out with figures closer to these I believe a lot more fans would be excited for the new Rebels line of figures.
-
As I said in the entry thread I really enjoyed your entries. You are showing me why I though realistic style with more movement is a must. I would have bought every one of these if Hasbro had released them this way instead of the way they are doing. Fantastic work and you just have to be proud of these!
-
Very impressive work on the Rebel figures.

Very impressive group of Rebels!

well done !!!

Exactly! I would've purchased every single figure if they looked like these fantastic customs. No interest in animated style with nearly no articulation.
-
After buying so many animated Disney figurines for my daughter I just can't help but be reminded of this with this new REBELS line. I could have swallowed it if they have moveable joints, but as these are pretty much just glorified 3 and 3/4 inch statues its an easy pass. One of the reasons for the contest was to show folks how cool of a product you could have in a regular action figure format. This de-evolution of the action figure is driving me nuts.
The Mad Jawa has shown how cool these characters could be done in regular style and with super articulation.

Thanks Tamer, Your every thought and feeling on the nes line was my drive for this. :-)

So I had request from a friend for a custom tallest Jawa in Episode 4 that helped carry away R2 after they him with the ion blaster. So in the name of fun. This is what I came up with. LoL! Enjoy

I really like these. Could we possibly get a shot next to an average 3.75" figure for scale?

Now that is just an awesome idea. What a great diorama to make re-enacting that scene too! Off to the front page.

Ha! thats the first time iv ever been called that. lol!
Well what I did was took different size missiles and sliced bits off to size and as you seen in the photos, I carefully glued them together one tiny bit at a time. yea, so much fun, =/
-
Sgt. Hound on the front page. I am thinking you are one happy MAD Jawa now after seeing those two new Jawas Hasbro is giving us.
