styro-board

(1/1)

maunster:
I have a few questions about it.
How sturdy is it?
How easy is it to form it ( bend, curve)?
Is it expensive?
Can I get it at Hobby Lobby?

Reconsgt:
Ok,  it is also known as foam core, it is sturdy enough to build dioramas with,. you can bend it within reason, you can get greater curves if you cut the reverse side to allow for more distortion, it is roughly 2 bucks a sheet 2x3 ft roughly, you can get it anyplace there are school supplies, Walmart, Targets, Hobby Lobby

maunster:
Thanks that is very helpful.

spudafett:
basically what recon said.

It holds together realy well with just a tad of super glue.

dollar stores should carry it pretty cheap, I know wal-mart caries it.

I like the stuff, built a remote control hovercraft out of it once as an experiment.

You might not get nice curves out of it but you can definately bend it by strikeing the oposite side of the bend,  for instance if your wanting to make a corner, strike the OUTSIDE of the corner (the inside being the 90 degree bend).
