Had a day off work and it was extremely nice outside today, so I motivated myself to get outside and take some pictures.

Alright guys this is my first ever scratch built diorama so please be lenient =)  What I have created here was inspired by HB94's X-Wing alliance hat box briefing room.  I didn't have a hat box so I had to make do with other materials.

On the remote planet of Dantooine, before being re purposed as a Rogue base, this building was used to be a mining complex before the Clone Wars. During the era of the Empire the Rebel Alliance had once used it as a base of operations but later abandoned it when the Empire learned of its location.  Now in the era of the New Republic, Rogue Squadron has re-occupied the facility as one of their primary home bases in the Outer Rim.

In case anyone was curious, the base of the floor was cut out of foamcore.  I then pained the floor battleship grey and printed a "Rogue Squadron" insignia decal to place in the center.  The walls are made up of $0.98 piece of poster board.  To give the floors and walls the dirtied effect I used sticks of charcoal and wiped the excess off lightly with a paper towel.  The wall decals courtesy of niubniubs universe.

Great diorama Ace! Everything looks fantastic and I love your scaled down version that most anyone could make room for.

Thank you!  Means a lot.  Space is precious and limited so scaling down is often necessary.

More pictures from my photoshoot yesterday.  My new X-wing came in the mail and I was having some fun with it.

your wings are on backwards, the stripes (Red 2) should be face to the back, not front...

Ha good call! I've tried re-arranging them but they do not fit properly anywhere else.  I think my x-wing is a victim of quality control or defective. =/

you should be able to take the top right wing (when viewing from the back) and put it on the bottom right side and left top to left bottom and just turn the lasers around.......I've seen lots of people put them on backwards so you should be able to just swap them over
