Jedi Con 2010
« on: April 06, 2010, 05:03:22 AM »
Jedi Con 2010 Düsseldorf Germany
legion078 and I went to the Jedi Con 2010 last weekend. It was one of the best days in my live. A big thanks to legion078 for the chance to visit this great convention.
Now, for the sixth time, the Official Star Wars Fan Club presents a weekend full of galactic action in cooperation with Lucasfilm.
From the classic trilogy to the prequels to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the Extended Universe, and the coming live-action-TV-series, there's a lot offered for any taste.

Location
The MARITIM Hotel Dusseldorf is located right next to the Dusseldorf International Airport.

Guest Stars:
Jake Lloyd (young Anakin Skywalker)
Femi Taylor (Jabba's Slave Dancer Oola)
Cathy Munroe (Zuckuss)
Chris Parsons (4-LOM)
Richard LeParmentier (Admiral Motti)
Matthew Wood (voice of General Grievous)
Randy Martinez (artist)
Denise Vasquez (artist)
Wanja Gerick (the german voice of Anakin Skywalker)
and the best of all
Steve Sansweet (head of Fan Relations and the man with the biggest SW collection of all times)

costumes:
A lot of great costumes (Niner from Omega Squad, 501st legion stormies, shadow stormies, snowtrooper, airborne trooper, TIE pilots, Jedi and Sith etc. etc. etc).

A great day and a great convention. I hope 2012 is coming soon.

i would have cleaned out that box with all the EP3 clones for sure!! i can never have enough clones
looks like a great day FF what were the loose clone figures going for? Phillipp and your self would have had a ball at this convention!

is that a lego display ? its bloody huge!! i wish they would do something like this in OZ with that many of the SW guests!

Thanks for sharing these pics it looked like an awesome day!!

A well-built sniper rifle is a beautiful thing. Ours has two zoom modes, "Up close and personal" and "Hello, you're dead

It was really a great day Trev. As I said it was my first convention but for sure not my last one.
The costs for the Ep. 3 clones were from 2,50€ to 7,50€, so not a bad deal and that guy had also some other goodies like Darktrooper, Darth Revan etc.
The big display is a LEGO dioroma which shows a Deathstar hangar. There was also a big LEGO sandcrawler and a very nice realistic style Jabbas palace dio.

For sure Greg!!! if they did a proper convention i would be there with bells on!! the ones we have are kinda lame really all the stalls are shop owners that are all way over priced
and never really have much in terms of star wars, our "supernova's" are more for ccg/PC/console gamers and Manga with odd comic writer/artist/inker guest's
also with wrestling as well?!?!?

but it would be great to met up at one if it ever came here to AUST, they could call it the OZ Con with a picture of Yoda in the middle of the 2 words (we all know Frank Oz) it would be perfect!!....maybe....just an idea...lol
