Looks great Tom. So the other magnet is inside his torso? They must be strong!
Yeah the magnets still pull through about a 1/16 of an inch of plastic through his back and then the pauldron also.

Wow, that magnet idea is great! It mounts so flush you can't even see how it joins and look like it is part of his back.

Expect to see this on the front page soon. If you have any mid construction pics of how you put that magnet inside the torso I would love to see that. Wouldn't it be great if Hasbro just started doing this for backpacks or front chest accesories! That sure would make a great ask Hasbro question if they give us a new schedule.

Sorry Tamer, no mid production pics but I think I will make a youtube video within a week or so and I will explain what I did.

Sounds good to me. I am amazed it fits that close. Probably better than a peg and hole!

Here is a G.I. Joe figure that has a Harrison Ford looking face. My brother found it on clearance at Wal-Mart for 8.00 bucks. He comes with some cool guns and an interesting pilot helmet. The red visor is see through. The vehicle has some customizing potential too!

Yes, that is the vehicle figure combo I was talking about in the contest thread. Great find I saw them at Walmart but picked mine up before Christmas at Ross for the amazing $6. Got the blueish jet with what is mostly a resolute Due pilot figure at the same time.

Yep, I got both of those as well. I believe that I picked up two of the mantis craft sets.

CloneSniper78 HAS BEEN ADDED TO "CUSTOMS I WISH I OWNED"

32 year old Tom Christensen is a Star Wars and G.I. Joe customizer from Phoenix, Arizona (USA). He is better known as CloneSniper78 on the Imperialshipyards.net website, and as AZMarineSniper on youtube.com. He has been a Star Wars fan since the early 1980's when he was a young boy.

See the video of his customs at the blog:

Made some more progress on the Spartan. I'll try to post some better pics tomorrow. I repainted him bronze. The shield in the pic is a cast resin one that I made. If you look closely you can see the Senate logo on it.
