Hey folks,
I'm new to the shipyards, used to own a nice vintage collection of star wars toys & action figures up until '91-92....However that time in life it was hard times and i was forced to sell off my collection. Once life got better i didn't bother collection again until now....and wow! have i ever missed out on a lot of cool figures. Right now i am building up jabba's palace & Chalmun's Cantina and of course the new bounty hunter's...very cool. I also thought it would be fun to make a few of my own figures....This is how i found the Imperial ship yards vadsab
Here is a few pix of my first attempt at making & painting my own customs, once i get my collection sorted out & set-up i will post more pictures.

Well for starters, welcome to the Shipyards! It's a shame you had to sell off your collection, but we all know how times can get. I'm liking your customs, they are definitely a wide variety!

Nice customs man! Welcome to the coolest website ever! haha 8)
-
Hey folks,
I had some free time today after work and did a re-paint...do they count as customs? Excuse my ignorance...i'll catch onto the lingo & what's what...
ok i always hated the paint they gave Labria, i have a extra potf Labria so i used that figure as the Ginnie pig, I think the potf & saga figures are the same....just re-packaged. here is my re-paint next to the saga Labria, i removed his cape until i can find something more suitable....the plastic cape that he comes with is simply awful, anyway.... Enjoy!

Thanks a lot everyone, I'm very happy on how they turned out. Next up will be the cantina space guy in the yellow space suit like Bossk...never enough cantina characters :) and i think i have the parts to make him. That is what sucks about being new to this hobby...the lack of parts to make cool customs.
Thanks again for the warm welcome and comments on my customs.

One of my Favorite star wars characters is Bossk, So here i present to you is Kultyss a Trandoshan mercenary and another figure for my Cantina :)
Kultvss is a Trandoshan and distance cousin of the Bounty Hunter Bossk. Kultvss wasn’t really a bounty hunter but he was blood thirsty and would kill for money, drink or just for fun.
Unlike his cousin Bossk who seems to keep to himself and was a loner, Kultvss was a loud mouth and loved to pick fights. He was a mercenary and didn’t much like the humans or wookies and enjoys hunting them when he had the chance or if he could stay away from the cantinas. The empire would hire him to sniff out and assassinate mid to low ranking rebels.
Kultvss likes to use a ACP gun, During the clone wars the weapons were used by Trandoshan mercenaries and slavers.
"Hmm. An energy weapon that looks like a slugthrower. I didn't think lizards were that nostalgic."

-
Von Reinhardt,
Sorry I haven't commented on your creations until now though I am very impressed with what I have seen so far. I'm always pleased to see someone doing something a little different. I also love the Cantina scene from Ep4 so you've hooked me there as well.
Excellent creations and descriptions of characters and well done on getting onto the front page, well deserved!
-
nice ones and welcome to the yards!!!!!!!
-
WOW! Bossk's cousin Kultvss made it on the front page....I'm very stoked thanks a lot everyone for the kind words and comments on my creations. I love this hobby and i'm very happy to be back collecting again after a long 20 year break...ha,ha
After i'm finished the clones I'll be doing up a few more Trandoshan thugs.....love aliens.
von
-
Awesome custom dude!!! I love it.
-
Von’s Mandalorian destroyers ....lead by Lord Fenrizk.
Lord Fenrizk was a Mandalorian gone berserk and he had killed a bunch of the death watch in their sleep. He was able to recruit a few rogue clones to help him in his quest to annihilate the members of the deathwatch.
The Duchess of Mandalore looked the other way since he was hell-bent on destroying members of the death watch….but others within her government would hire Lord Fenrizk for search and destroy missions of the death watch.
They didn't turn out as good as i would have liked, oh well...next time.

Hey folks, time for a update; 3 more thugs for you to check out.
The gang;
Meet Volfferatu,
Volfferatu was a bounty hunter who would hunt other bounty hunters; If Jabba has a problem with another bounty hunter or was unpleased with their performance he would hire Volfferatu to deal with the problem. All tho Volfferatu doesn't look like much but he is pure evil and would hold rituals and drink blood before he went out on a job. He will most likely be found lurking in the dark corners of the local cantinas or hiding out in the creepy back streets, always looking for his next victim....and always waiting for the next kill.

This Trandoshan bounty hunter is seen talking to Bossk and Kultvss in front of Chalmun's Cantina. They are asking him why he has amour like Dengar the bounty hunter.
Turns out that he was on a dangers mission where his normal space suit (like the suit bossk wears) just would not cut it so Dengar offered him his spare stormtrooper armor. This unknown trandoshan liked it so much that Dengar offered it to him in trade for his ACP LS-150.

Ok, this custom must have been done already? I searched the site but didn't see it?

Any tips of the helmet re-paint? Mind you i do not have a visor like the helmet shown in the pix below.
here it is in the show-

I've been a bit behind on your customs, but your Cantina is shaping up very nicely! Vosferattu looks very sinister, like he has some deep seeded hatred and personal problems that shaped him this way. Very cool!

My custom star wars slaver/pimp.
This Ithorian calls himself King Ludwig and he hangs out and supply's the lady's for Jabba's palace. He has no relation to Momaw Nadon.
Ithorians were a mammalian herbivorous sentient species from the planet Ithor. They were commonly called "Hammerheads" by less sensitive beings because of their long, curving neck and T-shaped head. They found this nickname offensive.
This custom idea came directly from one of 'JACKOFTRADZE' customs called Snooty Giddy Up. I liked Snooty so much i wanted one for myself, but i used different parts and paint scheme so not to rip off JACKOFTRADZE's custom figure.

I always liked the Trandoshas & Saurin reptilian species and the Hrchek figure is one of my favorite figures from Hasbro.
For this custom I used Saga Legends: Saesee Tiin body and swamped the head, hands & legs from Hrchek kal fas figure, added some paint and i now have a cool Saurin Jedi.
The Saurin were a reptilian species from the planet Durkteel, in the Kastolar sector of the Kashyyyk Region. Related to the Trandoshans of Trandosha, the Saurin shared knobby, scaly skin; broad, flat noses; wide, gaping mouths; and sharp, jagged teeth with their cousins. In contrast, however, the Saurin had five-fingered hands instead of the Trandoshans' three digits (plus opposable thumb).
My 1st Jedi, meet Master Jedi dunkeleins.
Not fighting for the cause, Dunkeleins is more of a lone wolf and lives on Tatooine. He mostly hangs out at the watering holes and roams the back streets where the scum of the earth dwell, He will interfere where there is a innocent in trouble.

Thanks guys.....
yeah Phatty is right on the money.......the Rodian greaser is made from Mutt Williams from the KOTCS Indiana Jones body, with a POTF greedo head & hands. I use this greedo because the head is a lot smaller that the newer Greedo....these parts add some paint and i made one of my favorite customs so far.... even if it is a real simple one...sometime they are the coolest figures imo.
It's awesome to have made the front page again :)
-
really coool bbfet O0 bbfet
-
Ooooh, I like this batch of scum and villany! Love the greaser Rodian and the Vos headed one the most. The other is great but those 2 are stand outs for me. Vey well done!
-
Is that Mutt's leather jacket on the rodian? That looks great! A lot of cool customs in various forums, but I think this might be the first one that brought a smile to my face. :D
-
Thanks a lot for the positive comments everyone ... Making your own figures is more fun than collecting them...well close anyhow....
Just for fun......here is another Jedi that i made a few weeks ago...I didn't like him at first but this figure has grown on me now.
RUMklagg the drunken Jedi
RUMklagg was once an active Jedi and very involved in defeating the separatists in his youth.
However, over the decades he has grown old and tired and addicted to alcohol and judging by his reddish "RUM" nose he's been drinking for a very long time.
You can find RUMklagg drunk and falling down in Mos Eisley Cantina, he will work cheap if you need a bounty...but he screws up a lot and you may lose your money.

I didn't really know what to do with the hat?....but at the same time i wanted this bounty hunter to look like he was obsessed with the 1950's, wish i had a tommy gun for him.....I may change him?
If you go back thru the thread you will find pictures of each figures..... i think i posted some?

My latest creation; Smuggler Keware Vaol
This Twi'lek was taken as a slave as a small child but by the time she reached here teen years she killed her master and has been on the run. She makes her living as a smuggler but will also take work as a bounty hunter since the money is better.
She often hides out in slums and drinking Establishments on Tatooine Like Chalmun's Cantina. ...

Garouf Lafoe was a male Human from Tatooine. He was an ice trader, fetching ice from the rings of Adriana and bringing it back to Tatooine. Lafoe was a patron in Chalmun's Cantina when Obi-Wan Kenobi took Luke Skywalker there. After witnessing Obi-Wan whip out a lightsaber, he went and informed sandtrooper Davin Felth of the incident.
The best i could do with the parts i had, Made this guy for a friend.

VON REINHARDT CUSTOMS ADDED TO "CUSTOMS I WISH I OWNED"
VON REINHARDT CUSTOMS
Von Reinhardt aka Darth Von Frost is a 41 year old customizer from Canada and has been a Star Wars fan since he can remember. He owned a ton of original toys back in the early 1990's but had to sell off that collection. In 2010 he was bit by the Star Wars bug after seeing a few of the new and amazingly detailed action figures and started to collect once again. But now he will only buy figures that he really wants or toys he could use as custom fodder.
He does not collect vehicles or ships because he feels they are expensive and take up way too much space.
After seeing some amazing customs from JACKOFTRADZE and buying an abundance of customs from him, he, like us, thought he'd try to create some of his own.
He then started his own blog, I {HEART} STAR WARS this month to showcase some of his own customs and also show some of the new figures that are coming out. He has been making his own customs since SEPT 2010. ...so he says he is still honing his painting skills.

great collection of figures !!!!!!
-
Thanks a lot for all the pos. comments of my figures.
Here are two more figures that i just finished last night;
Here is a Cerean smuggler/bounty hunter who lives on Tatooine, HH works on his own and will take some jobs that Jabba will offer him, while HH does not like Jabba very much you will find hanging around at Jabba's palace from time to time because Jabba will pay him top dollar.
He enjoys the challenge of smuggling rebels past the Empire. He also has a sinister side and really likes to take sniper shots at storm troopers who are occupying Tatooine.
They call him HH (Handsome Harley) because he is smooth with the lady's.

One more custom before i head back to work tomorrow....
When the Imperial prison barge Purge — temporary home to five hundred of the galaxy's most ruthless killers, rebels, scoundrels and thieves — breaks down in a distant, uninhabited part of space, its only hope seems to lie with a Star Destroyer found drifting, derelict and seemingly abandoned. But when a boarding party is sent to scavenge for parts, only half of them come back — bringing with them a horrific disease so lethal that within hours, nearly all aboard the Purge will die in ways too hideous to imagine.
And death is only the beginning. ...
What a great movie this would make.

This is awesome!!!! :o :o :o
-
SWEET !!! nice usage of palps head ! :o
-
I knew it! I always thought that Palpy sculpt - and the "snarling Luke" - would make a great zombie head. Nice work!
-
Hmmm...that would be an interesting idea for a movie.
-
I knew it! I always thought that Palpy sculpt - and the "snarling Luke" - would make a great zombie head. Nice work
whats the snarling luke
-
ROTJ Luke giving Vader the beat-down in front of the Emperor. I *think* it was a 3-pack sculpt. I don't have it, but if you scan back through older Yak's Pub cartoons, you'll see one used. ;)
-
is this it
-
Thanks a lot folks, This is fun stuff.
Yeah, I thought the Palpy head was perfect to be use as a zombie.... as is the new TVC Darth Sidious (Revenge Of The Sith)
I never seen that snarlig Luke figure? Once i pick up another TVC Sidious i will make another death trooper.
-
I think it's the saga Luke that was being referred to. (Picture courtesy of Rebelscum.com)
Nice custom. I've mentioned before I'm not a fan of zombies in Star Wars; but a great custom is still a great custom. Looks awesome!
-
Thanks folks :)

totally awesome zombie trooper!! Man, you are right in that Palpy's head sculpt is just perfect for this.
-
I'd like to get that saga Luke to use as a zombie.
For the Palpy head i did modify it just a little, i used a dremel tool & bit to cut into the eye socket and make it look deeper and cut up his face to make it look like flesh wounds....prime & paint...
-
That's the figure, Steel! I'd thought it was in the boxed set Hanns showed - didn't realize it was actually a carded fig.
-
Star Wars Saga Death Throne Room Luke , this would be a good sculpt to make a zombie.

yeah, yellow teeth, blood everywhere
-
well have you googled deathtroopers ? they have some amazing artwork there ( i.e cut off forearms , no heads , legless crawlers ) everything it inspired me to do two and im pretty proud ?

NICE! What's the name of the SW horror story that came out last Halloween (maybe last year)? The cover art is a stormtrooper helmet that's hanging from a hook and blood all over it.

The ubiquitous man of Mos Eisley
This figure is based on a obscure guy who is always walking around in most of the external Mos Eisley scenes. Check out the movie and when you see him just walking past all of the time you will laugh...it's funny how much he's always in these scenes.
I saw on another site a guy named him 'The ubiquitous man of Mos Eisley'. ....and before Luke & Obi go into the cantina sure enough ubiquitous man is always walking by them..... So here is my custom based on that guy.

Wow, yet another fp offering I have seen tonight. Look for it soon.
I like this a good bit and ofcourse think it in its Hoth outfit would rock too. Swap some Veers armor and headgear on this guy and you have a heck of an AT-AT Commander. 8)

And thanks for the comments, glad you guys like my figures :)
-
Sweet work, von! It looks just like him.
-
Looks great Von! Itoo tackled this guy years ago with the same parts, well you have the newer head. Very well done my friend!
-
Thanks guys,
I will admit, this is my second crack at Yoxgit. The 1st one i made for a friend and i just used a (Legacy)
Ugnaught body and ground & sanded it down but i didn't like the looks of him with the jack boots. & how buff he looked (1990s potf buff,ha,ha)
So i thought the Zutton body along with the (potf) Ugnaught arms would look cool and that's the Yoxget i kept for myself.
1st try;

Oh man these Imperial Officers look awesome! My personal preference would be to get rid of the white gloves. It really draws your eyes to their hands. Still great customs though either way.
-
Awesome imperials.
-
great, love the hair

Always one of my favorite figures!!!

Looks nice but the green is a bit bright. I think it would be perfect after a wash or 2 in a dull green green just to tone it down a bit.

Yeah, it is a bit to bright I'll give him a wash to see what happens.

Hello folks,
This Ultimate Gamorrean guard (RANCOR SLAYER) was not my idea. I stumbled on the idea while browsing the rebelscum forums where a couple of guys did a simple head swap with the new vintage collection Gamorrean guard and marvel universe 'world war Hulk'. I thought wow! what a cool idea.....and then after that i saw the best Rancor slayer from jackoftradze he did a complete re-paint and added spikes & horns and it blew my mind and i had to own one...so anyway.....this lead me to make my own rancor slayer.
enjoy! This custom took me a while.
The Empire was in need of a super soldier and humans where just too small and weak so the empire had a Imperial scientist to work with some of the most evil but brilliant minds in the galaxy to create the ultimate soldier.
Word spread fast to the Imperial scientist that Jabba was working on such a beast to be used in gladiator like games so off he went to the depths of Jabba's palace to investigate and what he found was a huge bio-mechanic Gamorrean in a lab.
Jabba always looking to make money told the scientist that he is welcome to watch the slayer do battle with a rancor and if the beast wins with very little damage the mighty Jabba will take his order for an army of Gamorrean slayers.
The Imperial scientist witnessed the beast destroy the rancor with ease and ordered 100 slayers to be tested in battle. But the Imperial scientist wants to take them and have the empire train them to be elite soldiers.
The base to my rancor slayer;

-
Holy crap guy. This is awesome!
On the front page is an understatement. I think I need to meet this jackoftradz guy too if he has ideas like this!
-
that rancor slayer is bad ass. Much more imposing than the dumpy pig faced standard gamoreans! The planet hulk figure is the perfect base! I can't believe I didn't think of this, I've had a gamorean sitting on my shelf with a war planet hulk sitting not too far away... seeing this it seems so obvious!
great job getting the colors to match up on the head swap too.
-
that is just soooooo bad! I love the Rancor slayer. He needs to be in a corner of the cantina with some alien groupie babes hanging on him.
-

LOL. That would be a great image. I would love to see a hundred or more of these going up against some stormtroopers or something!
-
Talk about a mutated hog!!!
-
great job getting the colors to match up on the head swap too.
This custom is completely painted from head to toe.... :)
Thanks for the pos. comments folks, but be sure to check out my blog to see 'jackoftradze' custom Rancor Slayer.

Very nice work on the giant gamorian! I have seen several of these done and yours is one of the best!I love the extra details you thought out and added. Very well done my friend!
-
I've never been too interested in the Marvel figs, but your use of the WW Hulk body is terrific! He stands out more so when you place him in that diorama with the Rancor: this pig's nearly as large as the beast! Awesome, awesome job!
-
Rebel Bombay's twin brother who does not like the Mandalorians very much.....

This guy turned out great, von! Color scheme works really well! I now wish I was able to pick up parts from that "impossible-to-find" last Indiana Jones wave... :'(
-
Thanks folks,
I really like this guy....and i love how the back pack turned out.......this dude is ready for some serous action.
-
This guy looks cool!

-
Is that a partial tie pilot helmet that I spy?
I like it, von. very nice work!
-
Bit of a steampunk feel to it to me. I like it.
-
yep, that is a chopped Tie fighter pilot helmet :)
It seems that most of my bounty hunters/mercenary figures have that 'steampunk' or cyberpunk theme going on......i guess that is a style i have developed since i started this hobby a few months ago.....these mercenary figures i make all seem to have that same look to them...ha,ha
Tomorrow i will post a group shot >:D
-
great bounty hunter love it
-
i can't wait to see these baddies in the bar !!
-
Ah man that is awesome! I love the helmet combos! Can we see more on that? I would love to see exactly wnat you did/what the head under the helmet is.
-
A few more pix, for the tie helmet i just cut away the bottom part so that the lower jaw of the Joe head would be exposed. The other helmet is a German WWII helmet.
I drilled two small holes in the Joe head to fit the tubes, modded the sandtrooper pack to fit and gave the figure a complete paint job. The figure is a tie fighter pilot from the battle of Endor battle pack.

ha,ha
cool Kruld made the front page,
I'm stoked that you guys like him.... Kruld is like when i first made RUMklagg the dunking Jedi i didn't like him when at first. Sometimes it takes a while for some of my creations to grow on me. It's like when i finished Kruld i feel he should have turned out better...i don't know?
-
Thanks Von, it was the Joe under helmet I could not make out. I recognise it now but can't remember the name. The helmet combo is what stands out for me as it has an older sci-fi feel to it. I may have to borrow this at some time.
-
Great job!!!
Love what you did to the helmet!!!
Looks very cool!!!

Hey mate,
The joe head is from Neo-Viper, yeah i like old stuff and enjoy any old sci-fi & horror.....borrow any ideas you want, to me that's the fun of creating and posting out customs. My three favorite customs that i made are all from other peoples ideas...ha,ha
-
I know one thing I would love to have everyone's rejects here if you aren't satisfied with this. I sure would have like to have seen this BH rather than some of what we got in TESB thats for sure.

That is one terrific-looking bounty hunter! I've been working on mixing parts using that Nikto head as well, but haven't quite come up with a good feel for what I want out of the fig. Yours looks great freakin' amazing; you better believe I'll be using yours for more inspiration now!
-
thanks folks,
yeah that new 'wooof' sculpt is awesome, I did add a little paint to his face & eyes. I really like how this figure turned out, this guy and bombay's twin (in the back) are in my top 5 favorite figures that i made so far.

Awesome dio, man!
Your character representations are phenomenal...and I think I caught the Tonnika sisters in there! ;D
If you don't mind, what parts/figs did you use for those two? Those are some of the best representations of the Tonnikas I've seen...
-
Von, I have gust caught your latest update and man this place is Hoppin! I am with Julian, this is my kind of hive! He and I shall have to meet there to hang out with with this great group of scum and villainy.
-
If you don't mind, what parts/figs did you use for those two? Those are some of the best representations of the Tonnikas I've seen...
The twins were made by a great customizer 'JACKOFTRADZ', sorry i do not know what parts he used to make these amazing figures.
Oh yea....and see the guy with the long hair and blue vest talking to the Rodian in the leather jacket, that is me...ha,ha
