Greetings! I want to post this teaser of my Jabba's Throne Room. I started this project over ten years ago and when it wasn't life taking over it was a dvd of Return of the Jedi where I could see a less grainy picture of something I had to update and then blu ray and then archive photos on the internet...well, I put this off long enough. This pic is taken with an old camera so when I get around to revealing the whole room they will be better photos. This pic is not altered in any way. I always have had an eye for detail and I believe the trick to a good diorama is the lighting. I have been inspired by so much talent on these forums and look forward to diving in to them and my project more when time permits. Until then...

Wow, this looks fantastic from the first look. It will appear on our front page soon.
Welcome to ISY!
-
Beautiful! The lighting really makes this pop.

Thank you! It was my intention to do a photonovel of Tales from Jabba's Palace chapter by chapter but that is a monumental undertaking. Well, God willing I'll do that someday, but for now I will be happy finishing his excellencies main audience chamber.

First post on the front page. Once again welcome.

Cant wait. (http://www.cosgan.de/images/more/bigs/c014.gif) (http://www.cosgan.de/smilie.php)
BTW There's a tauntaun head to the left of carbonite Han. What beast head did you use on the right of Han? I've never seen a clear picture.

Jeez! at first i thought that was a life size set! amazing work! I picked up that book, i really need to read it now. :p

Thanks again! I never could get a clear shot of the second trophy head either so I completely make a critter up. I might have found a clearer behind the scenes photo since I carved him (balsa wood, as with the TaunTaun), but I figured they change periodically so what-the-hey. Here is a clearer pic of the trophy room. POTF2 action figure Boushh. That dates this pic a bit, doesn't it?

I need to resist the temptation to post these old photos. I'm excited to share this but the above two still have unfinished elements to them that my first pic has completed. I shall learn patience...and post something new soon...just one more. This was taken after I bought the DVDs and 'oh my stars!' the details that came out in high def...I dismantled half the room and rebuilt it.

Wow, this just looks fantastic to me. POTF2 and all!

thats just flippin awesome..from that first photo ,I thought I was seeing a behind the scene shot from the movie.
-
Oh my heck yes, someone else is as crazy as I am! I love your 1st photo! Very nice work on your palace. Thanks for the behind the scenes photos, I really enjoy seeing the process. Can't wait to see your next update!

Incredible work!! The lighting is awesome. The construction is amazing. Truly inspirational.

Had to get another image up on the front page. The realism here if off the charts.
-
This is just amazing ! Superb lighting !
-
Very nice! Lighting and elements turned out great!
Pics of the second head are limited, but it appears to be a jerba (the hairy donkey-like beast from outside the cantina).

Thank you, Jaeger45! I never knew what that was until today. I guess after I carved my critter it was out of my head to research it for accuracy. As for my Tauntaun head, I just finished touching it up. I had to, it was made from balsa wood and rabbit's love chewing...everything. So a little filler and a new paint job and good as new. Maybe someday I'll make a new one out of sculpy or something, but that was my first attempt at carving something and I still like how it turned out.
